Perfect for affliction locks that only do Shadow damage.Frost mages will love it too.Mats are not cheap.The mats for each shadowcloth is around 30g and that will only make you 1 each 4 days unless your shadoweave and it will make 2.You can find people to pay and you give them mats + a small tip(20-50g) and you will be able to get it very quickly.I suggest you farm the primal water yourself in the area north of the throne of elements in nagrand only accesible by flying mount.Netherweb spider silk is just found east of shattrah with just 5 mins of farming you will get enough.Good luck and remember the reward is worth it :D

Primal Water - 38
Netherweb Spider Silk - 8
Shadowcloth - 26

Primal Water is made by combining 10 Mote of Water which you can get from water elemental mobs around Outlands. Do a WoWhead search for best drop rates.

Netherweb Spider Silk is dropped by spiders in Terokkar Forest, Karazhan and Black Morass.

Shadowcloth may be the hardest to get. Shadowcloth is made by a tailor with over 350 skill. It requires 1 Primal Fire, 1 Primal Shadow, 1 Bolt of Imbued Netherweave and the caster must be at the Altar of Shadows in Shadowmoon Valley. The spell got a 4 days cooldown. (A Shadoweave tailor will make 2x Shadowcloth each time)

What? The easyiest part is to fix the primal water. I grind 1 primal water each 4 min. Even got a vid I made when I had to prove it to somebody not beliving.

I just made the boots lastnight, The first thing I did was get a +12 Stam enchant on it (Enchant Boots - Fortitude), I also put two cheap +4 Spell Damage/+4 Stam enchants on it - I didnt want to spend the money on "blue" quality gems until I get my epic bird.

I farmed the mats on my own, so it costed me no money out of my pocket. I averaged about 6 primals an hour so the overall grind only took me a little over two hours.

I would recommend this set to any warlock, The damage increase is great. I also have the shoulders on this set, I must say with the +15 Spell Damage enchant (Aldor Rep) they are great.

I am going to guess and say that DoTs are part of the 2% health back, I am not sure though and wont know until I level to 375, Im at 366 right now so It shouldnt be long

I have 2/3 of the set, and it is written 12% healing from the set bonus, and not 2%. Is this wrong? I'm playin on the server Executus, shadow priest :) (Turalyon had 2% bonus)

I think the 300 healing does help in the arena, especially when its down to the last 2. Ive had myself and a rogue on about 1% health and me just stealing it thank to that little bit of healing.
Also as a warlock with healthstone, deathcoil , drain/siphon life and this baby https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/item=24551#00z . It all builds up and saved my green orc a**e on many occasion.

I found that the set bonus can help in pvp, but mostly in the battlegrounds. I can even more easily solo any of the elite generals around alteric valley as an affliction lock. The healing makes a difference when you aren't focus-fired, and you can hang back putting dots on people.

I also usually pop up a fel armor and life tap as soon as i rez, becuase more than likely, i still have dots ticking on people that will heal me in my first few seconds of being alive.

As an Affliction Lock, there really is not anything better in the game.

There are two boots with similar damage and spell hit, but the lack of sockets hurts them in being that much better, especially when you already have 202 hit rating.

Just voicing my opinion that the bonus is not great. It needs to be doubled for it to be worth anything. Does it make a differnce in a pvp? NO. :(

Is shadoweave tailoring just a requirement to make the set or is it nercessary to use the set.....for example can I drop tailoring after making it like people used to do with robes of the archmage on mages?

um...forgive the contradiction, but if you've already made the item, and it's bop, and you drop your profession...the item remains....So it's not a big leap to assume that just because you've changed from shadoweave to one of the other specialties means you can't use the items. They're soulbound, and already made...you just won't be able to make anymore :P Besides, a smart person would have checked the AH or guides, and have done a bit of research on each specialty before having chosen. Otherwise, your just wasting your time, gold and materials on items you don't really want. Besides, have you seen the prices of Shadowcloth! That alone makes this a worthwhile specialty

its not worth the gold ( around maybe if you were buying everything well over a 1000 gold easily... ) at all, but i made it cause its purple-itious..

and farmed a lot of the mats from level 68 to 70 without questing so ill get a lot gold back from all the quests from blades edge mountain and above :)

i still needs some for the robe though in fact i need them all lol.

Leveled tailoring from 0-375 just to get this set and I don't regret it. The +dmg bonus is huge, the stats are respectable and the bonus is minimal but noticeable. If you want to hit like a truck, get this set. Honestly, it's amazing.

As for gems, the socket bonus is negligable, so I'd use any combination of these (according to taste):

Solid Star of Elune
Glowing Nightseye
Runed Living Ruby

And dont forget u can also balance this gear up with sockets and enchants. Iam going for 12 sta on boots for sure. Remember this gear is so good its worth an enchant in my opinion!

I'm using the boots and shoulders and leveling enchanting to get the chest right now. As a shadow priest that doesn't want the drama of running raids (been there done that, I have a life now), this is about as good as it's gonna get.

The really nice thing for me about stuff I can make is that it's guaranteed. I love it when someone links a 'better' item that has like a 5% droprate from some endgame instance boss. The problem, as I see it, is that you could potentially run that instance hundred times and STILL not have it, because you wipe, because the tank has to go to bed, because someone else rolls on it the one time it drops, because ... you get the idea.

Here the formula is simple: Level enchanting to 375 (not a small feat, but perfectly doable), farm the mats, make the item. DONE. Guaranteeed.

Hi everyone, quick question, im a priest and i just powered tailoring 1-321 for about 200g. If i were too make the shadow set, then reroll tailoring and take moon cloth would i still be able too wear this set? Might be an idea to visit a trainer in lower city (Shattrath) There you can choose if u want to be a shadowtailor or something else...

I can recomend this set too - the damage is awesome! =)

But now is when tailoring gets expensive...
The items require alot off mats..... :P

Which Gems shall I socket as a PVP Frost Mage?

1)Solid Star of Elune x2 (24 Stamina total)
2)Solid Star of Elune & Glowing Nightseye (18 Stamina, 5 spell damage)
3)Solid Star of Elune & Potent Noble Topaz (12 Stamina, 4 spell crit, 5 spell damage)

I'm not sure whether it's worth going for the socket bonus, because +3 spell hit is too low to make any difference in PVP, which is capped at 4% to hit.

i recomend if you are lvling a lock now and want this in the future start early. At 50 get master status and start lvling beyond 300. When i reached 63 on my lock i had 360 tailoring. the faster you can get to 350 the better because then you can start saving mats tell 70 and its nice that the second you ding 70 to put on 3 epics and wtfpwn peoples face in!

Thats what i did do and the mobs aint behind each other 15yeads so Try to use Dark Pact on the way...
And When the imp doesnt Got mana Life trap!

My Gear when i farm: No spell dmg only stats Tex 40Stam 40 Int

14k Mana/12kHp

Requires you to be a spellfire tailorer to use, so no you cant unlearn spellfire and still wear this set..

You can still have the spellfire set eventho youre not able to eqip it.. :)

Well, to start off, there are three Tailoring Specs. Spellfire, Frozen Shadoweave, and Primal Mooncloth. Each for diffrent classes/specs. They can be learned in Shatt city, southeast? of the Horde battlemasters.
Spellfire - Mostly used by Fire/Arcane mages, but also good for Destro Warlocks. The set consists of: Robes, Gloves, and a Belt.
Frozen Shadoweave - Used by Affliction Warlocks, Shadow Priests, and Frost Mages. The set consists of: Robes, Sholders, and Boots.
Primal Mooncloth - Mostly used by Holy Priests, and maybe Resto Druids? I don't know alot of this set. The set consists of: Robes, Sholders, and a Belt.

The first time you spec into one of the sets, its free. But every other time you switch, it costs 150g.

Spellfire Set

To make Spellfire Robes you'll need...

The Stamina on these boots are @#$%ed..for some reason they give more HP than they should do. I put them on with 9000HP, and ended up with 9420HP. Very strange. Anyone know why? (i dont have any enchants or gems either on them)
