This item is actually becoming a popular RP piece for the ladies. Sleeveless and strapless it's taunting and elegant yet feminime and fashionable. It's AH price has lowered as a result of the fairly useless stats (except for raiding of course) and it's an affordable piece for the RP'ers even though it's Epic Quality.

Combined with Bonecaster's Sarong it's quite a dress, if wearing nothing else.

Never used this on Curator though last night I put this on for VR. While I and another priest with pretty much the same gear. We both use the Violet Badge trinket so the only difference last night was this robe. We stand in the pounding with the melee groups (two total each of us in a group). Looking at the WWS report he resisted 15,576 Arcane damage compared to 47,449 that I resisted.

Edited: Found out he wasn't wearing his badge (he forgot).

this item is imba first it has sockets(which means more boosts) then in has +78 stab (very good 4 any caster ) and a lot of arcane rez(poor arcane mages and hunters):DD

I'm just not understanding all the cloth gear with specific resistances but no +dmg. Why would anyone wear this?

Anybody think this set is worth the cost? Not sure it's worth it for Kara but apparently Tempest Keep is mostly Arcane damage.

I can make the vest for about 80G buying mats from the AH. Add about 120-140G for the gems. Is it worth it?

Also, is it worth it to set aside the Primal Mooncloth set for a holy priest?

I gathered the mats for this and asked a tailor make it for me. The pattern is apparently a low drop rate from the "phantom Valet" in Kara. The tailor in question wanted 20g to craft it, i found someone else in the end. Just be warned, this vest looks truly dreadful. OK, the arcane resistance is impressive but don't expect to get admiring looks!

~grin~ Well, it really depends on the level of your guild to be honest--The Eye takes Arcane Resist, and if your in Karazhan, the Curator fight is extremely easy if you load up a shadowpriest in Arcane resist and have them get second on the aggro list. The hateful bolts are considered physical damage --to most people's amazement--and all shadowpriests get a large deduction from physical damage taken--15%-so a hateful bolt that might hit a tank for 3-4 k, hits a shadowpriest for around 1-2k. This makes this fight to be honest, straight out easy

So it's not exactly an un-needed item--if your guild is ready for The Eye or uses a clothy shadowpriest for curator. It makes a world of difference.
