I crafted these from the time I learned them to 375. It's a large investment, but it's not like Netherweave Cloth is hard to come by at all. And if you are an enchanter, the greens you get from the Sunwell daily quests usually wield a lot of Arcane Dust. Aside from that, all the mats are easily farmable solo.

When compared to the normal netherweave tunic you lose 17 stam for 4 spell damage and 11 mana per 5 secs? Id rather stick with the normal netherweave tunic.

useless for a warlock (life tap and affliction locks have dark pact)

I wouldnt give up the stam for it as a warlock just for 4 spell dmg. Maybe its good for a priest and half decent for a mage, but useless for a lock.

The robe has 17 less Damage/Healing on it, but 14 more Stamina and 28 Int. Why would anyone take this over the Robe. They both have the same Armor and Mana regen.

Rating crit / spell damage together, this is #1 or #2 rare in the game. So it isn't too bad. Run allakhazam advanced item search. Rate crit/spell damage 1. Level 65-70 items.

It's worth mentioning that I've now disenchanted a fair few of these and got a Large Prismatic Shard every time, nice way to get levels for high-end Tailoring and the mats for high-end Enchanting.

Often your mana/health pools aren't a concern.

Shadow Priests consider +damage above all other stats.

+damage means more damage
means more health and mana regen

It does mean more agro, but that is a different story.

+28 int is +420 mana.

+17 damage over the course of a fight will probably make that up. Also the +17 damage will easily make up for the stamina hit as well.

Factor in you are returning that mana/health to 5 people, then it is no contest.

Solo, you may want to use the robe, in a group; the tunic is the way to go.

For those wondering who sells it, the vendor is in the Scryers city at Shadowmoon Valley. Since you can�t speak to them being Aldor, ask a friend with Scryers reputation to buy the pattern (6g), it is not BoP.

Seems sorta lame compared to robe. Ill make the robe for soling, and keep using Truefaith for healing (I'm still in denial/haven't found anything I like better)

I am a demonology warlock and i would hands down pick the robes over the tunic, i get more spell damage from the bonus, +the added health is much better than 17 spell damage

You know that blizzard wants us to waste as much time as possible. I too had this problem, I went from 360 to 374, the entire time it was yellow, I only missed the skillup once. When I hit 374 I did 7 in a row with no skillup. Thats almost 1k netherweave down the drain...

Like many people, I have leveled tailoring from 360-374, and got stuck there making many tunics without a level up to 375. This is still the best way to level tailoring, nevertheless, because the mats themselves are not too espensive. Raw mats for one is just 5 stacks +8 netherweave cloth, 12 arcane dust, 2 spider silks, and a rune thread, which costs on average 40 gold altogether. So just keep making those tunics. If your tailoring does not level up, you can disenchant it or have someone else do it for you, to get a large prismatic shard, which will sell for about half the cost of making the tunic. Eventually you will get the 375 and start to make epics. Just don't give up on making these tunics, no mater how frustrating it is.

guys please hear me out here, this is the only way to level tailoring to 375

as people have said, make imbues tunics or robes, but as people have also said, getting the last skill point is HELL. so what i did (just got to 375 now):
- made my spellfire belt at 355
- levelled to 360 using netherweave tunics (not imbued, the cheap ones)
- levelled to 365 using imbued netherweave tunics (about 130g in costs for me)
- got my spellfire gloves pattern BUT DID NOT MAKE
-levelled to 374! using imbued tunic, then finally MADE MY GLOVES AT 374, GUARANTEEING A SKILL POINT TO 375, FOR SOMETHING YOU ALREADY NEED ANYWAY! seriously, no hassles. its a $%^&* waiting for 374 to get your gloves, but after reading the poor people making 7-10 imbued tunics to get that one point (300g+ in costs) its worth it.

waiting for the spellcloth CD now, to get my robe underway.

Well, as a frost mage, u barely feel the improved damage given by the tunic, but u do feel the lack of at least one more frost bolt which at my lvl and with my equipment does around 1200+ damage. An extra +17 doesn't do any difference here, considering I might get 6 or 7 bolt off, 8 or 9 with the robe. But my lock on the other hand may get more from the extra +17 damage with his dots, but only when specced in demonology, otherwise he needs far more mana and health (which again is just mana). I find that as a demonologist, u barely ever get below 90% of ur mana or health pool after the kill (of course depending on how many u try to take down).
In instances where the grp of mobs are set from the beginning, other calculations come into the picture. If u know that ur mana and health pool can hold out until the mobs are down, the extra damage is better too. But if u constantly find urself using ur wand, do urself the favor and use the robe.

The tunic also makes you look cooler. That is BY FAR the most important thing when comparing 2 items like these. der
