I would agree that this shield is MARGINALLY better than the Bulwark.

With recent changes to the mobs that drop the Armaments, Chrommagus is a much more realistic kill. Considering the limited bonus a tank my get from this shield, wouldn't it be better for a rogue to get that dagger? Thinking in terms of the guild, it's far better that a trusted rogue gets that dagger than any of the other options.

your way off, im already up at 9600 withpot pot/scroll buffs in raids.. can easily get above 14k if i want to, this shield would bring me right above 9700-9800ish... and i would rather have this one then ele reinfoced bulwark tbh, 3% block > 3 stam...

This thing is by far the best shield imo for any tank in the game right now..even thogh it looks like complete an utter crap..why would I want to run around with an insect on my arm ffs?

3% block --- owns
def +8 ---- nice even tho after a certain point its not thaaaat important anymore
+block --- dmg reduce always nice
20 stam ---- yes plz!

the 30 hp you gain from the ele bullwark are nothing..so screw it^^

ok for those of you who are saying " OMG im getting this", all i have to say is i think it will be tough to request 3 elementium ore out of your guild bank. and if your guild isnt in BWL, even more luck to u on getting the ores...

easily the best shield in the game to date, makes me want to destroy (not vend) my drillbor disk. also, a D spec warr can have 15% block wearing nothing but this shield if you get it enchanted, thats just crazy

Paladins cant tank end game, and shouldn't get this item over the main tank im NOT saying that paladins can and I dont think that many others were saying it either.

paladins dont hold aggro NEARLY as well as warriors, and any guilds that do End-Game consistently the main tank would have this already, allowing anybody else who wanted to spenk DKP/roll on this item a possibility.

I want this item because if I ever got into a guild that boosted lower levels through instances, a paladin would (in my opinion) be better for those lower level instances (buffs, self heals, crit bonuses, the list goes on)

I would like to stress that I would NOT get this over a warrior (and wouldn't expect or want to), especially the MT for the guild, because it would be WAY more helpful to the guild overall as if he/she does a GREAT job, I never need defense and should (theoretically at least) go into the instance naked and not get hurt.

This is a tank item, it would be great to have this item, along with other "tank items" but the simple fact is, I most likely wont get it until we CONSISTENTLY down the boss that drops this (I.E. I wont get it for a long while)

as for the debate on what to put on it, I would say +block % if your running lower instances, have a really high block rate, or just love to block and take a bunch less damage with this NICE shield.

This is an item that many paladins wont see, touch, or have, it would be an after thought of the guild (after farm-status of the instance) and would use a lot of DKP and/or influence to get

1.warriors tank end-game instances, period
2.paladins cant hold aggro NEARLY as well as warriors, get over it.
3.most paladins admit that they shouldnt tank in end-game instances, warriors ASSUME that they want to tank with this gear

Guys this quest is available for both factions all you need to get it is this quest. Anyway, why would this give paladins the edge? Never seen a paladin with this before.

I suppose it's nice for guilds who aren't farming Chromaggus, but I honestly prefer Elementium Reinforced Bulwark. That +3% to Block basically means less chance to Dodge and Parry once you reach the 60% avoidance cap.
