I just finished my 39th run of Scholo trying to get this helm.

Well it dropped yet again, this time I should have won it, as only other paladin rolled on it besides myself...but here's the kicker, he already had the Lightforge Helm...so I didn't win the need roll.

It's even funnier because while fighting the Boss, the Paladin Whispered the other Healers NOT to heal me (I was the tank) just as we were about to kill the boss.

ehy don't ask me why but i like the look on this set so much that i prefer it above the valor set... I'm a tauren warrior and not matter waht you tell me I still want that set allthough it's a Paladin set... now people have told me that I can't complte it cause the Helm, Legs and Chest only drop for Alliance...i asked a GM who told me a friend of his (horde) got the complete set... so what is true can i get it?

this helmet never drop 67 run to scholo now still no helm.................. and when i got back from the 67 run i saw a warrior with it!

I've probably been to scholo 50 times and have never seen the helm drop. Today I ran scholo back to back a couple of times and it finally dropped for me, so drop rate is really low but persistance pays off, looted it on the Stonemaul server!

How is it even possible that i'm playing for months to get my lightforge set upto 6/8 while a warrior friend of mine got to 6/8 almost within a week? For the helm alone i did 47 runs! He did 5. The moment he got 6/8 it robed me of my feeling of acomplishment. I looked it up; Lightforge VS Valor: on every single set item lightforge has the hardest drop. Blizzard should raise the other setts upto the drop change that valor has or lower the drop change of valor to correspont with the other setts. Warriors have it to easy, all items drop in populair places (easy to get a raid to). I need to go to BRD for my gauntlets....try getting a raid to there.

Well all of LF is going to be able to be upgraded to Soulforge, with some epics included in it! Also, all of the drop rates of all blue items from the high level instances have been increased as well as their stats! The downside is that theyve all been reduced to 5 less than originally. So Scholo is now only 5-man. But still! SOULFORGE! HIGHER DROPRATES! w00t3rz!

i got my helm on the first run... after that i felt happy for about a day. then i ran ubrs for the first time also and my shoulders dropped off the beast... i won them and then i got lucky again. drakk dropped the LF chest and the other pally got D/C... i have never been so lucky in my life...but i got 3 of the 5 bops in 2 days.

Haven't seen the Helm yet .. i'm 5/8 right now nd i'm feeling pretty lucky eith most of the set .. got bracers from 1st scholo run .. found belt nd gloves cheap .. got shoulders after about 5 UBRS runs, nd Legplates dropped on my first run .. the one unlucky part was that i was on Drakk in UBRS nd my comp crashed .. of course LF dropped nd i was only pally .. came back when my comp was working again nd found out it got DE'd :(

I finally have full Lightforge armor set!I think it's good looking armor though the helm isn't the best looking.
To gaining this full armor set took me around two weeks, but it was worth it. I dont think im going to get SF armor because i think it's a waste of money since you can't get them by drop. So i will go for Tier 1 more than 0,5.

So i will next tell how did i get this armor.

Lightforge bracers, Bought from AH for 5g

Lightforge belt, Bought from AH for 7g

Lightforge gauntlet's Timmy dropped from Stratholme Scarlet side. It is a Ghoul that appears when you have killed every scarlet outside the building. Got these on my second run.

Lightforge boot's This dropped from Balnazzar in Stratholme scarlet side too. Balnazzar is the last boss in there and pretty easy to kill. Got these on my third run.

Lightforge Legplate's This dropped from Baron in stratholme. He is the last boss in there. Got these on my third run too.

Lightforge Breastplate This dropped from General Drakkisath in UBRS. It is the last boss it there. Got these on my fift run. And ill say i did like 30 run's in there but killed Drakkisath only 5 times, So it isnt easy to get him down, the main reason is this; well it is an 10 man raid instance and you usualy may have problem to find players that can play theyr classes decentlyand also when you put a 10 man raid grp there allways ppl that need to leave when doing the instance.

Lightforge Spaulders This dropped from The Beast in UBRS. Got these on my fift run too.

Lightforge Helm This dropped from Darkmaster in Scholomance. Got these on my 20 run. This part was pain to get. It dropped on my very first run in scholo, but guess what a warrior needed it and won it i was like omgf where does warrior need int and spirit! warrior should never roll for LF! NEVER! Well after fife runs it dropped again, but guess what now i got a f**ing DC when the loot's came on the screen. Then i think it dropped next time on my 18 run, but then a rogue ninja came and won it and told he was sorry :O. At this point i was pissed so much, then i asked some guildies to come help me get it and finally after few more run's it finally dropped and also the epic staff Headmaster's charge dropped too and we lukily had a wlock whit us that freaked out and ofc he did get it :)

On my realm you CAN NOT get into Scholomance, IT'S ALMOST IMPOSIBLE! And the price of Lightforge Gauntlets in AH is over 100g! Lucky for me, some guy put Lightforge Gauntlets for 50g so i bought it :).

Right now i only got 3 parts of the set (the bracers,
the gauntlets and the belt). I really need that helmet from Scholomance but even if i get lucky on getting a group we NEVER get past the first 2 bosses.
For the shoulders it's not a big deal, go and kill The Beast. But all groups for UBRS never actualy get in UBRS because very rare you find someone with the key.... It's all a BIG nightmare!

The problem on my server is priests. They are almost all shadow and they do pvp, so they dont want to come to instances. I said to go with pvp armor insted. It's much cooler and it's better. About UBRS and scholo, each time i find a priest to go to scholo the LF head piece never drops from the headmaster, and with UBRS if we manage to kill the beast almost all the time this dagger drops.

I went to scholo without wanting to and when we killed the headmaster BANG LF helm drops, i couldent beleave it! I mean when i went there to get it, it never drops but now when i didn't want to it drops! I was so happy, almost as happy as the day i got my epic mount!

i still run scholo occasionally when im not raiding/p pvping and managed to collect 8/8 lawbringer and 6/8 judgement before this helm finally dropped.

Though it may seem very few times to you, I've been in 5-man groups going to Scholo three times so far and it feels like forever...

Gandling spat out a Helm of Valor twice in a row my first two times (its what I ended up wearing so far since I was the only plate wearer in the group at the time), and my last run he dropped the dagger and a devout hat.

Bah! About 10 hours of scholomance in my life, wasted away! I need moar raid.

been there almost 20 times,only killed gandling about 8 times.so today i go to scholo with my guild and we kill gandling. guess what drops.
im so happy :D

Does each helm have an equal chance to drop or are some more favored than others? So far I've killed Gandling four times (many failed attempts) and I've seen them drop in this order mage, priest, mage, shamman.

I have had my helm and even augmented it with 100hps I LOVED IT IN EVERY WAY! Now its still awsome best part of set imo BUT since patch they nerfed its awsome look so now it looks gay as hell. I used to love the look sigh... was bad ass looking so pretty disapointed with that patch change. Still love my helm stats just hate look have it invis and cry a little inside when i see warrs with cooler looking Valor hats and my hat looks gay =(

Personly i happin to prefer the new look of the Lightforge helm looks like a crown that a holy knight (paly) would where to war where as the old winged look is kinda corny looking..........

wow i can't see why ya'll are so upset about the helm art, actually the helm+shoulders is the only reason i care about the set ( i think it looks cute on the human female model) and besides the colors match now.

with BC out, the looks is the only reason i am getting the full set, and to say that i got the paladin T0 set.

anyway did a lot of runs on my other characters, finally got my pally up high enough ( main healing of course) and this dropped first run, i was freakin out and doing a little dance, becoming quite the paladin.

I saw it on my first Scholo run and I didn't win nething at all the entire time, i was hoping to win it. My guildy who was doing master loot to make sure no1 @#$%^ed over accidentally rolling told me to get dice ready bc i hadn't won nething and i was with THREE frickin Pallys. Of course, with my horrible luck. i wasted my rolls on frickin green items and rolled a 41 and the other pallys rolled a 82 and 14....i was @#$%ing pissed. i still haven't seen it since.

I know that this helm drops very very rarely, so I'm wondering if I should just stick to my Whitesoul helm or try and get it. I'd have to do like anywhere between 10-60 Scholo runs wouldnt I? But it looks cool and has better stats. So Id like an opinion. And I still want to know if that Dwarf is riding a Tiger. =)
Oh and Justcause, I agree. The winged helm looks corny. I hate full face helms. THat winged helm is the Xact same one the Scarket Champs in SM where...

I got this drop today, Turalyon, but never thought I'd actually get it. So I've bought the Whitesoul Helm earlier, since I'm a holy specced pala, I like the +healing. Now I've got a Arcanum of Rumination and I'm wondering; which helmet gets it?

Any opinions?

Good thing we have the "Hide Helm" option cause else ppl would have to make a macro with /lol when they see you. Imagine a paladin with Lightforge Shoulders and Imperial plate helm.... and after that with the gay looking Lightforge Helm.

no luck yet, but I've only been there 6-8 times so I'm still kind of hopeful and not deadly tired of Scholomance. Once I hit 20 runs without seeing it/winning it, I think i'll dive off the highest branch of Teldrassil that I can find, then see it and win it on the next scholo raid I'm in. I did it with my leggings after being there 20+ times, should work again, right?

0/6 for me. Never seen it drop. Only Valor helmet.
Going for my 7:th run tomorrow....after i have my LF helmet and my epic horse i will NEVER set my foot there again....
The 2 last groups did take 4 hours to complete the instance....god thats booring. The thing is..... NOTHING else drops that i can use in there. Only the Helmet...

I have killed that IDIOT Gandling 66times! yes -66- and i have not seen the Helm drop, all i need is the Helm, legs and boots, decided to get helm 1st but the is just totally mad i am so sick of Scholomance. When the dam helm drops i will be so god dam happy (even though a gay warrior will come up with sum crap and ninja it)

Grouped with another pally, he already had the helm so this was an easy win.

Blizzard have said they are consideting changing the helm again, when and to what we'll have to see, I;m so happy I won the roll for this, its on par with the BP on the drop %, plus Getting through Scholomance to Gandling is one of the worst exspeirences, instance wise, EVER!

I just had one of the best nights of my life playing.

Did my first full run of Scholo (had a bad run of luck getting groups with low level warriors who wanted to tank and other such things) and my lightforge helm dropped (only pally there, need roll of 4).

I ran off to do some quests and whatnot when a guildie druid tells me that their paladin for Strat UD just left and invites me along. They've already cleared the ziggurats by the time I arrive, we finish off the Baron and my lightforge leggings drop.

Needless to say the druid was ticked that she invited me along so late in the instance only to have my set drop.

I tried pushing my luck and getting my shoulders from the Beast, but no luck there. Already have my chest piece thankfully so I don't have to worry about that at least. I gotta say I understand most of your guys' pain though. The rest of my guild has been running instance after instance trying for all sorts of pieces, wish you the best of luck!

I have done more than 50 Startholme (Baron) Runs and only seen the legs way back around run 15-20 and I lost the roll. Haven't seen LF legs since. First time going through Scholomance the LF helm dropped and I rolled a 4 and lost the roll to a 13. I have completed more than 30-40 Scholomance runs and haven't seen the helmet since that first run. I don't believe its even in the game anymore at least not on Hellscream. If it is then the drop rate should be increased to closer match the drop rates of the other class sets. However, I guess LF's 4-5% drop rate for legs and Helmet is better than the Shammy's Elements drop rate of 1.5-3% :)

On my 2nd Scholo run i got the helm, before i got to roll i got disconnected >_< luckily i was the only pally and the leader MLed it to me :), and then an hour later i got LF shoulders in UBRS :) ohh and i got my Arcanite Reaper as well :) i was happy

18 runs of Scholomance in a row, making the group EVERY time myself to ensure no other Pala wants it.... Not seen it drop ONCE. Gave up in an absolute rage today. 7/8 will have to do.
