I found him at 82,78, in the shallow water just North of Umbrafen Village. I was able to solo him as a 62 frost mage. He was immune to snare/rooting - I had to resort to bouncing agro with my pet and a couple ice barriers, luckily he didn't hit *too* hard.

Extremely easy to solo as a 62 feral druid. Put on some stam gear, open with a starfire, go in to bear form and just beat him down, he has around 15k health, but he does very little damage and his channeled ability can be broken by bash and feral charge. Didn't have to pop out once and he only did about 3k total damage to me.

if u are a DRUID lissen, u can Hibernate him, but not earth rooth, so just go bear form and nuke when u get low hp, go out use Hibernate and kill again.

Soloed Boglash at Lvl 61 Resto shaman.. Got him to around 74%hp then a mob came attacked me.. i took down the non-elite and resumed my mission..
Took a while but it was worth the XP.. got 25** something

Solo'ed verey easily as a Level 62 Retribution Paladin... no problem. Still had half my HP left and never used bandages or healing. Zangarmarsh so far is easier than Hellfire imo.

Very easy as a 61 resto/elemental shaman. Start of with a Chain Lightning, then just kite him using Frost Shock (or Earthbind Totem and Earth Shock). Got him to about 40% when the guards killed him off. I stayed and kited him on the road so i wouldnt be attacked by other mobs.

Soloed as a 62 Survival spec hunter (yes, they do exist). Kept Aspect of the Wild up and made sure mobs wouldn't add and he wasn't tough.

By the way, though other comments about Boglash have suggested that he is immune to snares, Wyvern Sting does work. Good for a quick pet bandage there.

Despite being immune to fear, I solo'd it as a level 62 Affliction Warlock. Pop every DoT you have and lead him back to Cenarion Expedition (he should be around half HP by then).

I saw a post earlier that says the guards will no longer help you, but they helped me and I completed the task.

This quest was simple. Head to about 82,78 and staying in the shallow water and you can get there easily and will find Boglash in the shallows. He is a level 61 elite, but doesn't hit or isn't armoured like an elite. I popped Grace of Air totem, Strength of Earth totem and Mana Spring totem. I then put windfury on my weapon, put up water shield and took him with EASE as an enhancement shaman. I had to heal myself once and ended up on about 25% at the end of the fight. Windfury did proc twice which probably helped, but i did this within about 2 minutes of getting the quest and the xp and rep is good =]

Killed as lvl 60 full resto Druid (moved to resto at 60 :P)

Used Hibernate to regen, I had pots but didn't used them but used Innervate for mana.

Soloed him 30 seconds ago with a lvl 62 shaman. No biggie tbh. I'm enhancement specced and I have that Trinket which increases AP when used. It's called Bladefist's Breadth. Anyway, I'm orc so all I did was that I activated Shamanistic Rage, Blood Fury and Bladefist's Breadth and I DPSed him quite nicely with Stormstrike and ES. Used Grace of Air, Strength of Earth, Mana Spring and Searing totem.
When he was dead I had 40% HP and 100% Mana(Because of the Shamanistic Rage). Didn't have to heal or anything so.. it was kewl ;P Gl all ^^ And thanks for cords! 82,78 was correct, just north of Umbrafen Village :)

location confirmed, killed him solo as a lvl 62 fire mage... on the second try, because he hits a clothie pretty bad.

I used a healing potion, frost nova and dragons breath to keep him occupied.

I started to kill him as a lvl 62 hunter beast spec. He somehow killed my pet so I thought I would kite and kill. He started at me but then turned around and his health went to 100% so I gave up for the moment to regather myself. An alliance paladin came in and started on him but as I targeted Boglash to see his health, he was still red to me instead of gray. The paladin downed him and MY quest completed. ROFL, I wonder if the alliance player even got credit. I imagine he did not and he probably did not notice the grayed kill for him. Unique way to group this guy.

As a shadow priest (lvl 63) this was really easy. Sure, he is immune to fear, but he didn't even break through my shield. Just follow your regular VT/VE/MB/SW:P/SW:D/MF cycle and you should be fine. Just don't wand him ;)

i kinda cheated at this quest. i happened to pick up the escort quest "escape from umbrafen", and the escort is a healer and pretty much can't die. when we were walking by boglash, i tossed a throwing knife at it, and the escort healed me through it. so anyone could do it solo, regardless of the level.

Did this level 63 BM hunter with an Rebellious Timber Worg. No problem.

Keep pet healthy and keep aggro...lay down traps as appropriate, feign death to get rid of aggro and plink away...

For an elite I expected much more...Maybe at lvl 61 this would be harder at 63 it was nothing.

62 Dem Warlock easy enough kill confirmed he is immune to fear spells. His nature spell https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/spell=35493 is a channel spell and therefore breakable with a good shadowbolt.

has a tendancy to aggro another npc in the process. take a friend with you if you don't have a pet or minion to sacrafice.
and don't expect any decent loot either i got a fractured carapace both times my 65 hunter killed him.

all info on this quest is correct, and boglash respawns pretty quickly.

Soloed as a 64 arms warrior - stayed in battle stance the whole time, only lost about a third of total hp.

Grab some rage from a nearby mob, then take a snack break and charge in at boglash. Lay out the regular debuffs, then just keep swinging - easy cake.

This can be "solod" by a 62+ (Rogue). If you're friendly with the Cenarion Exp, buy one of those flare (for 80s, I think), use it and one NPC will help you out.

I found him South of Cenarion Refuge, in the waterways (he looks like a light green-blue fenstrider). No coords because he moves around. He's definitely South along the path of the Refuge, and north of Umbrafen stuff. Solo-ed him as a level 63 Shadow Priest, and was a piece of cake. No consumables necessary.

Took him down as a 61 shaman be sure to clear out the area around him. Save your earth shock to interrupt his health drain spell it hits pretty hard.

i solo'd him as a 63 warrior had 2K hp left when he died. simply go defensive mode... use shield wall then 5x sunder armor. then switch back to battle stance, use Death wish and you should be able to bring him down.

Boglash is along the waterways to umbrafen village. Just wait for the mob. I took him down with relative ease (arcane, multi, aimed, concussive and steady).

After hitting Boglash with a 2k aimed shot, he aggro'd me. I just melee'd till Boglash was dead.

Pretty easy solo kill as a 62 Shadow Priest. Laid on the DoTs, PW:S, Flay, Flay, Blast, Flay, Flay, Blast...continue...SW:D. No potions, no healing. Had to recast PW:S a couple times.

I solo'd as a 62 hunter, but was really tough on my pet. I had to mend him probably 3 times, and he died when Bolash has 2% health left lol. If you have a tanking pet like a bear or a boar, this will be a piece of cake.

I stood at 82, 71 until he spawned since I saw some Allies killing him right before I arrived. I cleared the area as things respawned so I would not need to worry about adds.

When he spawned, much to my surprise he resisted my fear. So I threw Exhaustion on him and kited him. I don't know if Curse of Shadows would have made fear stick

Killed him easily as 63 Hunter. I tried to keep my 60 pet alive, but he died when Mob had 5% life left. I killed him with my blade and had still 80% health. No pots.

I was able to solo Boglash as a lvl 62 frost mage more by accident than design. He's not too tough, but he's completely immune to frost effects, so a frost mage has to tank him physically.

After he started to kick my ass, I ran north towards the Cenarion Refuge, and to my extreme joy and surprise, one of the treants agroed him. After that, I just shot my wand at him. He went down quickly after that. Fun kill, overall..

Solo'd as a 63 Protection spec warrior, had to use 1 pot, last stand gift of Naaru, and trinket you get in hellfire that temporarily gives you 900 hp, had to stun him 3 times, and had 34hp left but when i got him down to 700 switched to fury and hit the kill button. He has over 15000 hp which compared to my 6247 it was sure luck im sure

lol, did this as a lvl 62 hunter... coords are on 81, 75. didn't see him, alt tab'd and went here.. tab'd back and was 3/4 health pet was 1/2 health, mend pet and unleashed everything i had... i won!

To complete this quest you need to kill Boglash.

Boglash is an elite fen strider, to locate it move toward the south and search all the water area east of the road. Its quite easy to spot, blue colored enormous mob.
Its quite hard to kill solo for several specs but most can kill it with no problems. Just try to control its chain lightning spell so you avoid massive damage.

A good example of this uncontrolled growth is the marshtrekker Boglash. If you wish to see it for yourself, look no further than the waterways south of the refuge.

Be prepared to defend yourself. The creature knows no mercy.
