I have killed 8 helboars for this quest and no blood has dropped....seems like a lower drop rate then wowhead states

This quest needs to be available at less then lvl 61 so you can go around and actually take the time to kill a whole bunch of these hellboars.

I think these guys just had bad luck, the drop rate isn't high, but i killed about 12 when i got the 6th sample. I've had much more problems with the boars in previous q, and they give skins and vendor trash, so if you were about to abandon q, don't it really isn't that hard :p.

ive killed between 10 - 12 boars now and i have 4 samples =)

i bet the last two take like 4 hrs cuz it always does >.<

Edit: it took 3 more kills to get the last two samples. guess they changed it for the Outlands haha

But yeah about 15 kills total. not too bad especially since i dont mind grinding too too much.

HULKING Helboars.

As dumb as I am to think I could do a quest on the lowest level Helboars... I was killing them for the Purified Helboar Meat quest, and thinking "wow this droprate is horrible, but that's just how it is."

60 boars later and I re-read the quest. Went next to Telhamat and killed 10 boars, and got my 6 blood.

Make sure you're killing the correct mob!

I think if you RTFQL you'll see that it does tell you to get samples from Hulking Helboars.

The drop rate truly is horrendous though. No logic to it either. When slaughtering pigs, the one thing that is sure to be in abundance is blood.

I killed 15 boars max and got the 6 blood vial for the quest. I farmed the boars near the 'temple of Telhamat'. Coords 25,40. Maybe I was just lucky?

It never dropps:P killed like 50 now for the 6 bloods.

Lol I killed first 8 with no sampled dropped, but after that I had better luck.About 15 mins. :) Just keep trying.

I find that killing them quickly increases the rate of drop. On my hunter, I would auto shot afk kill them basically, and I would kill forever with no drop rate. Once I started using my abilities and killing them quickly, the blood dropped off them.

I found that the level 61 Hulking Hellboars dropped the blood at only a 20% drop rate while the level 62 Hellboars dropped it at a rate of 45%. (I didn't see any level 60s)

I probably killed about 50 of the Helboars just to get 6 samples.

I disagree the answer in yellow is not correct. The location 25,56 or 25,66 is actually correct, every single kill here drops the blood sample. Also, if there is something to complain in the game it is acceptable; the reason is to make the game better and we pay to play, so complain all you want !

These drop rates were pretty nice like 1 every 4-6 mobs

Helboar Blood Sample is a quest related item - you need to collect 6 to complete Demonic Contamination quest.

Helboars are all around the quest givers (Cenarion Outpost), the area is overpopulated by them (if there are not many ppl around ofc).
There are multiple Hulking Helboars can be found to the northeast, usually there are less ppl. Boars drop Helboar Blood Sample, the drop rate is medium.
