Wouldn't this one be good for pally tanks? i mean they cause aggro with holy spells, it would be great if it works with their "+60% aggro with holy spells" skill.

10% is a quite lot in my opinion, and it reacts also to spells which thorns and ret aura doesn't.

i hope it kickes back also the casting while doing damage, could be useful against warlocks if you can heal yourself.

i would have to say that this is an awesome tanking trinket. not only is it an awesome amount of stamina (+51) but the incredibly high (10%) chance to proc gives an added boost to your threat generation. I don't know why any tank wouldn't want this trinket.

This looks to be _the_ paladin tanking trinket. And if the holy damage works with Righteous Fury, that is just gravy.

I'd get two of these if I could for fights where I needed to stack stamina.

I am going to start trying to get this deck.

If you combine this with the t5 4 peice set bonus (+dmg every time you crit), it becomes a little rediculus =D.

I'd much rather have this trinket than the Blessing trinket.

so with each non crit hit the holder of the card gain 17 crit, witch is up to 20 times correct, or am i crazy, this is got to be one the the best trinkets for survial hunters,

This is my favorite trinket out there. It has raised my crit by 10%-20%. As a mage with a arcane/ frost build... it really makes a difference. I crit 50% of the time in raids. I rock the dmg meters... this trinket has helped so much. One of the best kept secrets in the game I think. Worth every penny.

It stacks until you get a crit so the max it would stack would be to 100% chance to crit then your crit would return to normal but in all likelyhood you would crit way before 100%.

Wowwiki has very nice charts and graphs on this trinket. it basically says that the lower your crit rating is, the more this trinket benifits you. With it, you can focus your gear on high white dmg, and this trinket will make up for your lack of a crit rating. i wouldnt mind on my hunter, cause with this i can stack my ap up to something like 2500, and still crit alot with this equipped.

ace, no matter wich ace it is, is low drop % on all last bosses on outland instances, even the hellfire ones i think.

and the other parts? they are mainly world drop items from mobs. like i got eight today from random spawn on SL.

also we got Ace of Furies from Murmur, and friend got it from other instance's last boss.

I got this for my lv 70 Ret/Holy (43/18) Paladin.

Each proc gives me .77% extra crit. Usually when grinding I quickly drop a heal on myself and I have a nice chance of grabbing a crit heal as well.

I purchased my entire set on the Dath'Remar server for about 550g.

A: 200g
2-8: 50g

I actually got this set because of an incorrect posting that mixed up the furies with the storms deck.

I have not yet completed my Furies deck but my Heroism deck still procs 1 in 4 swings so I'm happy with that as my alternative.

Finally got my deck
Ace,2,3 and 5 dropped for me (ace = Mech, 23&5 = WD)
4,6,7 & 8 were bought.. although i didnt pay more then 450g(total) for the 4 remaning cards.

doesnt seem like a great deck for mage like someone said.
maybe if I had no crit gear at all.
A full frost mage with points in shatter has no use for this either.

With my current arcane spec with some frost I got like 21% crit
17 crit rating aint even 1% crit chance

so...
1st frostbolt has 21,00% crit chance
2nd frostbolt has 21,72% crit chance
3rd frostbolt has 22,54% crit chance
4ft frostbolt has 23,32% crit chance
5ft frostbolt has 24,00% crit chance and should crit
then it resets
so basicly that means every time I cast 5 frostbolt I would get 3,00+2,32+1,54+0,72% =
7,58 divided with 5 bolts = 1,5% crit chance per frostbolt
you can get lvl 60 trinket thats better than that.

in crit rating that would be 17+34+51+68=170critrating
divide this on 5 frostbolts and you get 34crit rating...
22 crit rating = 1% crit chance

lets see Xi'ri's gift gor 32 crit rating and a activation bonus which makes it twice as good.

you really need like 10% crit on your gear to have any use of this as all....
this would mean you can cast 10 bolts before it crits = 17+34+51+68+85+102+117+136+153= 763 crit rating. = 34,68% = 3,46% higher crit chance on each bolt = still crap.

A little side note... at low geared mage spelldmg is worth more than crit rating
But when you get high spelldmg from gear then critrating is worth more.

my question is this, as a moonkin druid (guess this could work with a non-ice mage or a destro lock too) if i forgot all about crit, and stacked my int etc, for a total crit bonus (in moonkin) of between 10-15%, would this be worth getting? remember that i would be stacking int (passive spell crit) for my mana pool and +damage from talants. what trinket would be better than this if you seriously put no +crit on your gear?

In theory, it wouldn't do a moonkin any good. In average pre kara gear, you would have ~20-25% crit in moonkin form (with the added aura bonus), so this one will practiclally be useless.

Stack it up with mind flay which can not crit, slam mind blast ever now and then for huge crits

This baby is, by far, the best trinket I've ever seen in my whole life playing this game. I might consider buying the cards/deck for up to 3k if I find them/it.

truth is none of the darkmoon cards have ever been any good, the dude that got kicked out of the city may as well sell this.

Only set up good for this is fury war or sword rogue, ever other class set up hits too slowly to stack this fast enough to outweigh any other trink. Blessings is better.

If this were like blessings for crit, that would make this amazing even if it capped @5% or so

This is an extremely useful trinket for an elemental shaman (or any shaman with Elemental Focus for that matter). It provides flexibility to use gear that doesn't have +spell crit. This is especially liberating when you're choosing gems and enchants. You can opt, for example, to wear a ring with a lot of +int and stam instead of a ring that will give you a little more spell crit than the stats ring, but no stamina. Or instead of buying the Gleaming Ornate Dawnstone to get +10 spell crit onto your pvp bracers, you can throw in a Mystic Dawnstone and have more resilience (or whatever else you want). One or two casts and your crit chance will be back up to where it would've been, and you're much stronger for it. This is therefore far from "useless" for the elemental shaman.

On the other hand, it's not worth overspending to get it. Paying 1000 g for the ace makes little sense, but if you can find it for a good price (or a drop), the deck is fairly easy to assemble.

This is a very helpful deck, and I have seen a priest use mind flay to stack the crit buff, so yes, it works, until blizz fixes it neways cause im pretty sure they didnt intend it to work, or maybe they did, i dunno.

Anywho, I have one of these decks for sale on the Aggramar realm for 1250g or best offer, char name Tholian, alliance. Darkmoon Faire is going in terrorkar right nwo so great time to buy.

This is for Darkmoon Card: Wrath which is a very unique and great crit bonus.

every direct meele/spell (DoTs do not count) gives you 17 crit rating till you crit. it stacks up as many times as it has to in order for you to get a crit. Great for rogues and mage's arcane missiles, or the arcane blast that gets faster and faster each time you cast it.

To get the deck, you need the ace-eight of STORMS. the two and three are usually very cheap. I got the 4, 5, 6, and 7 for around 60-90g, which is a nice price. the ace and eight cots alot though, which i got mine for 200g(eight) and 100g(ace). I am pretty sure i got a really great deal cause in all i spent 648g on the storms deck.

FYI: if you want other darkmoon cards, be sure to get the ones that say lv. 70, cause the lv. 60 ones do not proc as much.

A friend of mine started collecting this deck. I asked her why and she said it stacked spell crit. I like to bounce back and forth from Feral and Balance on my Druid and I figured this might make a good deck for Balance spec since I have low spell crit (20%). I wasn't sure the investment was worth it, though, since I'm Feral half the week. But now I see it doesn't matter; it stacks crit for melee DPS as well! So this deck will definitely be worth it for me.

I was lucky enough to get the Eight and the Ace of Storms in one heroic Arcatraz run. Tonight I checked the AH and bought all but three of the cards for 25g or under. I bid on the Six and Seven of Storms at 100g and 120g. Now I just need the Five of Storms and I'll have the whole deck ready to go!

ya im bm spec with 27.50 crit chance and it procs 3-4 times before a crit so thats +51-68 crit strike rating

On another Note im selling these on Kilrogg server have 2-3 a week for 900g each Zeeke is the name
