Got mine today, right when Zul'Gurub was opened to public. Dropped off the 2nd boss, can't remember the name :) Suits perfect for my 60 druid. Dunno if it's really necessary to have both set items...+3% chance of spells to hit...how often do spells resist normally? More than 2 out of 100? And there are lots of other good rings out there...I'm quite happy with just this one.

By the 1,7 patch, mages spells are resisted _ALLOT_ , so this ring is actually quite nice.

I got it from the Male troll priest boss...(dunno if he's first, but we killed him first =P)

Exactly which healers are PvP? I would think every healer wants to PvP at some point. Unless they are on a PvE server... then I suppose a few might not be interested in any PvP whatsoever.

But its a moot point since every caster can use the +1% chance to hit, and priests have a good use for mana regen, especially compared to mages who have 30-45% regen in combat (so their spirit means more than priest spirit).

Basically its a good item for anyone with a mana pool.

As a final note, this is not a hunter item. They should be last on the list to /roll on this.

last time I checked,

no one will resist your HEALING in your team,

so what use is this (+ chance to hit on your spell) for a priest or druid when they heal?

ok, you can always argue to roll this as your PVP gear, but obviously, when it comes down to a group, mage/ WL should have the first priority on this kind of item.

As a mage, I will pass this for sure and rather keep my dmg gear on until there is clear evidence to show +1% chance to hit is equal/better than # of dmg.

yeah awesome, got this today for my druid, second boss in Zul G dropped it for me..
awesome stats for healers, although the setbonus is more usefl for mages wl�s, this ring is best for healers as they recently get out of mana during the boss fights in Zul.
this is absolutely a healer item!

I just was just awarded the Zanzil's Seal from my guild after ZG raid last night. As our only mage in the group had already completed his set I was the next on the list (warlock). IMO this item set is as useful to locks as it is mages due to the fact that mobs and bosses resist curses and DoTs all the time. Every second I can't keep a DoT or curse up, that is a huge loss of DPS, not to mention the added cost of mana on resists (my shadow bolts/burns also do about 1600 on the mobs/bosses in ZG too so I greatly contribute to DPS). Now I believe if I was a druid with moonkin spec or was a shadow priest I would also desire this set. Don't get too mad if u don't get it though cause most priests and druids are gonna be on healing duty anyway... unless your guild just has an abundance of healers. Goodluck!

I've seen this drop twice while running with my guild so far. First time it went to a Shaman, second time it went to my friend that's also a mage. We have the snake and bat on farm status--we figured out how to take down the raptor as well, so I'm guessing I'll have this ring eventually.

All other than dmgclasses should not roll for this, unless ofcourse none want them.
As said, heals land 100%, dmg spells doensn't.
And if I got outrolled by this over a priest, I don't know what I'd do.
Atleast in my guild it's PVE > PVP.

"I want it to do pvp too, I am not only a healbot.. blablabla"
Think about what you say to a vendorclass next time.

Wlocks and mages should be priority for these rings (Band - Zeal).

hm i see the only stats is not 1% chance to hit but intellect and 4 mana on 5 secs which is VERY important for priest

If you are a healer please look up the Primalist's Seal and the Primalist's Band they are better for healers.

This ring has got to be the single biggest insult for clothies Blizzard has implemented yet. This is supposed to be the caster-set, yet this ring is only useful for healers, and the set-bonuses are unnoticable at best.

Not to even mention that there's better rings obtainable in half the time...

Yes, an increased chance to hit means your target will resist your spells less often.

I got this last night off of the Priest in Zul'Gurub that is surrounded by the 4 spitting cobra wannabe's. Anyone know what Zanzil's Seal is, and what the set bonus of the two together is?

These rings are not a total insult to clothies. Decent stats, mana regen, some spell damage, and plus to hit. Plus to hit is very nice for bosses and some mobs in BWL. Resists suck big time and I don't want to spend 1400g on two Librams of Focus for a 2% chance to hit, when I can run ZG a few times and get a 3% chance to hit.

I have both of these now, but im curious. does % to hit mean spells are less likely to be resisted (I dont think i've ever had a spell "miss", but my shaman is the only caster I've played)

Yes, set bonus is 1% hit and 6 to effects.

My guild Mad Militia on Crushridge took venoxis out for the first time as a guild last night, as we have only just moved into End game stuff. He dropped this and a Primal Hakkari Kossak, both of which were won by Mages, it took us 3 runs and about 15 trys to down him, and we wiped at 1% about 4 times. Grats to us!
