These bracers are a fantastic way to get a few enchanting materials.
These are a great way to farm for dust for the Arcanoweave Bracers (LPS farming).
After 332 crafts I got:
- 621 Arcane dusts
- 181 Lesser Planar Essences
- 13 Small Prismatic Shards
The SPSs amount to 4 ⅓ LPSs, in my server they sell from 25g to 34g, assuming it goes for 25g the profit for these is at least 108g
The LPEs amount to 60 ⅓ GPEs, those sell for 6g to 9g, if we go with 6g the profit is at least 362g
The mats necessary for one of these bracers are 18x Netherweave cloth and 1x Rune Thread. The cloth sells on my server for less than 3 gold the stack, most of the time I pay 2.40g - 2.70g, let's assume it all costs 3g and that the rune thread costs 40s each because a human is buying it. That brings the total cost of one craft to 3.10g.
332 crafts will cost 1030g (paying 3g a stack of cloth)
1030g = 621x Arcane dust + 13 SPSs (108g) + 181 LPEs (362g)
560g = 621x Arcane dust
0.90g = 1x Arcane dust
So in this worst case scenario the arcane dust ends up costing 90s each, I really try to sell my LPSs and GPEs around 30g and 8g respectively, which in turn it really makes the cost of the arcane dust much lower.
Ok, so if you are interested in crafting these in large batches for the purpose of receiving enchanting materials, here are the general numbers for the types of results you would receive (now keep in mind that this is based on the experimental results posted on Wowhead in regards to disenchanting probability and rough estimates in material costs based on the general concensus of the Wow community.)
Now, lets say you want to make 100 bracers. The mats would consist of exactly 1800 netherweave cloth (90 stacks) and 100 runic thread. Based on the assumtion that a stack of netherweave cloth goes for 3g a stack on the AH, all the mats are going to cost a collective 320g.
Now, based on the results posted on Wowhead, you will have a 3% chance to get a small prismatic shard when you disenchant the bracers. So, out of 100 bracers, thats 3 SPS. In terms of arcane dust and lesser planar essences, you can receive 2-3 of each. So that means that out of all the disenchants in which you receive AD and LPE, 50% will yield 2 of the item and 50% will yield 3. So this is a grand total of 55 LPE (18 GPE) 339 AD (17 stacks) and 3 SPS.
So lets have SPS sell for 8g per, AD 1g per, and LPE 3g per (this is somewhat low for most people, but I'm using these for the puurpose of experiment.) So this means you make 1254g. So the final numbers are as follows:
320g for mats
1254g for results
So thats what it can possibly look like. I would not be surprised if these numbers were completely off, but this is just for the purpose of experiment. We all know that the more experiments done, the more accurate the averages become, so get out there and give it a try.
The tailor in honor hold teaches you this receip
6 out of 7 became Arcane Dust in amounts of 2-3 at about 50%. The 1 was 2 lesser nether essence. Happy DEing!
The trainer in Honor Hold Inn (second floor) DOES train this pattern, just there right now at the same time im writing here just to be certain!
Wore Dreadmist bracers while powerlevelling my warlock through the 50's to 61. These bracers just really kick the crap out of the Dreadmist bracers by leaps and bounds. It's like, ok I am 61, hand me my easily crafted Epic Bracers, just paint them green, heheh.
The Tailor Trainer for
is in the Inn to the left when you enter.

i just went to the inn in Honor hold today
i don't even see it in the unavailable list
i have 334 tailoring
can someone confirm this please.
Don't listen to the idiots talking about disenchanting this. I guess people really were dumber back in 2008. According to the disenchanting results on this page, if they are to be believed, and according to my observations, they are quite accurate, then, disenchanting 100 bracers would yield:
177.5 Arcane Dust (If 71% of the bracers yield dust, and the average dust is 2.5)
62.5 LPE (If 25% of the bracers yield LPE, and the average LPE is 2.5)
4 SPS (If 4% of the bracers yield a SPS, and you get one each time)
Now, on my server LPE does not go for the extravagant prices that other people have been quoting. In fact, it goes for less than the dust. The shards go for approximately 3.3g, the dust 1.5g-2g each, and the LPEs 1-2g each.
So, after 100 bracers, and taking averages:
310g in Arcane Dust
99g in LPEs
13g in SPSs.
400g after AH cut of 5%
It's a far cry from the extravagant numbers posted above. It might be different on your servers, but I wanted to point out that their maths about the quantities is way off just. (How on earth could disenchanting 100 bracers yield 339 Arcane Dust, as well as the other stuff?)
Craft at your own risk.
Edit: 100 disenchants gave me 190 dust, 47 LPE, 4 SPS.
