with the (imho) brutal 6 second CD comming to CoH i think that they should increase the amount healed...by maybe 300-500....that would put crits in the range of 3-4k which would really extend the usefulness of the spell with the biger cd

The new 6 second cooldown is upsetting especially because sometimes I use it every 15 seconds and sometimes every second. This spell wasn't overpowered imo because simply spamming this for a whole fight will just destroy your mana but sometimes it needs to be pushed more then once in 6 seconds. Not looking forward to this patch, chain heal will be better again... (put a cooldown on that while you are at it blizz.)

It is impossible to spam CoH and be an effictive healer. You will run out of mana long before the tank runs out of aggro. So for all of you that think thats all us holy priests use you are sadly mistaken. I do admit that I use it way more than needed just because its a quick easy way to top off the whole party, but as a main heal it simply does not work. I agree that by adding a cooldown they should have increased the amount healed, that is how most of the spells with cooldowns work. The longer the cooldown the better the spell. It's sad that they decided to finally pay attention to us priests by nerfing one of our most versitile heals, but it in no way removes our ability to be the best.

It should be noted that the Glyph of Circle of Healing should not be used in 5 man dungeons. Many don't realize that although they are not benefiting from the extra heal, the spell ALSO costs 20% more mana for the same effect.

Just to clarify it to confused future readers: before Legion this same spell id was used for Circle of Healing. From Legion on, this now is Holy Word: Sanctify.

I have noticed that you can cast Holy Word: Sanctify on the ground, and then subsequent casts only require you to double-click and it will automatically be cast in the same spot (provided you have not moved past it's 10 yd healing radius).

Can someone else check this and confirm?

You can now cast targeted AoE spells like this right away where your cursor is, using @cursor in your macro.
For example:
