What is the Cooldown Manager?
Some of the most popular WeakAuras in the game are cooldown tracking WeakAuras. They allow players to track all their important abilities in a single space. Knowing that, Blizzard has decided to spin their own version of this type of WeakAuras with the Cooldown Manager.
Cooldown Manager Patch 11.1.5 Preview
Cooldown Manager Sections
Blizzard split the Cooldown Manager in four areas:
Essential Cooldowns
Utility Cooldowns
Tracked Buffs
Tracked Bars
Below we will preview these sections and give examples of abilities tracked in each.
Essential Cooldowns
In this area you will find most of your class cooldowns. For example, as a Shadow Priest, this section tracks both short rotational cooldowns like

Utility Cooldowns
Similar to the Essential Cooldowns area, this area deals with utility spells, tracking both short utility spells like

This section tracks procs your spec has that can change your rotation. In the example, the tracked procs are

The final section is different from the other tree, offering bars to closely track the duration of impactful cooldowns. In the example, it tracks

Cooldown Manager Customizations & Limitations
The biggest downside of using Blizzard's Cooldown Manager versus other WeakAuras as it stands right now is the lack of customizations. Besides allowing players to customize the look and feel of the areas, there isn't much that can be changed.
You can't remove or add spells to any sections, or create new sections for other tracking like trinket procs or on-use effects.
While changing slightly for each section, the customization options are as follows:
Orientation - Horizontal or Vertical
Number of Columns - 1 to 20
Icon Direction - Left or Right
Icon Size - 50% to 200%
Icon Padding - 2 to 10
Opacity - 50% to 100%
Visibility - Always Visible, In Combat, Hidden
Show Timer Toggle
(Tracked Buffs Only) Hide When Inactive Toggle
(Tracked Bars Only) Display Mode - Icon and Name, Icon Only, Name Only
