Требуется задание: Защитники Хиджала, во время выполнения которого вместо помогающих вам друидов будут рандомно появляться 1 нпц, а какой (нужный или не нужный) - зависит от вашей удачи (всего их около 40). Для выполнения ачивы /помашите требующемуся вам.

Каждому новому игроку, выполняющему это задание, дают разных НПС. Простой способ сделать достижение - висеть над гнездом Сетрии и тыкать макрос, указанный выше.

cудя по английским коментариям и тому, что за несколько часов Тассариана я так и неувидел, спавнится он только в группе для альянса, а Манкрик - для орды, увидеть "противоположных" своей фракции на однополярном сервере, что-то почти невероятное

Я вполносте согласен с Hanomi. К примеру, на Гордунни для аликов почти невозможно сделать ачив.

1 июля, когда этот квест впервые стал доступен, на Гордунни просидела в Гнезде Сетрии почти полдня и так и не увидела Манкрика. Остается только молиться, чтобы Близзы убрали это тупое ограничение по фракции для Манкрика и Тассариана...

Сегодня со мной был Нат Пэгл. Вскоре и Тассариан объявился. И так, как я не спешил сдавать квест, а дать возможность /помахать другим игрокам, оба NPC находились в одном месте одновременно.

ГМ сказал,что им поступило уже много жалоб на этот ачив,и что есть шанс,что с хотфиксом уберут фракционные ограничения на Тассариана и Манкрика. Но точно он не уверен.

Кстати, во фразе одного из помогающих NPS, возможно, заложена ещё одна пасхалка:
Так Верховный маг Ксилем говорит:"Ты был испытан... И был признан негодным." Подобная фраза звучала в художественном фильме "История рыцаря" с Хитом Леджером. В этом фильме сначала граф Адемар, а затем Уэтт (друг героя Х.Леджера) произносит фразу "вы были взвешены, вы были измерены, и были признаны негодным". Фильм вышел в 2001г. Впоследствии фраза стала широко известна и популярна.

Сделал следующим образом- вбил манкрика в NPCscan. Когда кто-то продает его противоположной фракции, прилетает ордынец в гнездо и прячеться так чтобы игроки не увидели. Затем ждет покупателя.....но от аддона не спрячешься!...так вот значит портуюсь я на хиджал, прилетел в святилище и аддон проорал. Подлетев к гдезду я прожал макрос:

/помахать
И получил ачив! пытался потом найти ордынца чтобы убить но так и не нашел....ну и ладно...

Я не очень понимаю, зачем делать макросы и их постоянно тыкать если существует альтернатива - добавить мобов в NPC_Scan, заниматься своими делами и не вообще участвовать в поиске/ожидании нужного НПЦ...

Единственный ачив, что мне осталось сделать до Ветерана. Никак не могу встретить нужных мне нпс, ни у себя, ни у других. Уже неделю убил на поиски оставшихся Тассариана и Хроми.

Тассариан встречается и у орды! Лично видел у себя, жаль не знал в то время про данный ачив, теперь горестно мучаюсь...(

А что если взять кв, проверить кто там, и если не подходит, скинуть и еще взять.....может кто пробовал, скажите что получится.

Теперь локация "Гнездо Сетрии" стала крос-серверной, так что такая проблема как Тассариан на СД для орды и наоборот - Манкрик для альянса на ЧШ, фактически, решена :) Ура!

Я таки доделал этот ачив. Агромное спасибо Дартмауллу
Имеется 4 чара с доступом на дейлик и 5-й в процессе, но ленивоооо.. все чары олени :)

суть поста:
каждый день буду заходить на вовхед вечером (20:00 до 23:00мск) править пост.
заглядывайте в пост и если будет нужный НПС виспайте в игре - прилечу в гнездо.
Честно, иногда лень заходить править пост, но это если нет НПС для ачива.
Если в обозначенное время 20-23мск пост не обновился значит нет квестовых НПС.

НИП больше суток не держится. У меня сменился автоматически на целительницу Тролля, при этом персом никуда не летала. Выходила из игры - была Хроми, когда зашла - уже тролль вместо неё.

Если будут попадаться нужные нипы- буду здесь отписываться) Надеюсь мне когда-нибудь повезёт встретить Манкрика...

вот уже 3й месяц пытаюсь сделать этот ачив соло, летаю каждое утро проверяю кто там из нипов,
в условиях панд в каты не летает вообще никто, это же кроссервер, где люди, неужели на всем седогриве только я один делаю это ачив(

за 3 дня выловил манкрика и линкена, насколько я понял они появляются ТОЛЬКО у ордынцев, полетал там просто несколько часов и помахал нужным нипам, всем удачи в этом геморном качиве

ачив получается достаточно просто
1. ставим NPCScan, добавляем туда тех, кто остался вам для ачивы:
Линкен - 52233
Манкрик - 52238
Нэт Пэгл - 52244
Хеминг Эрнестуэй - 52261
Хроми- 52265
Тассариан - 53427
2. дожидаемся выходных
3. настройки - ставим "оконный режим", включаем звук
(если окно игры потеряет фокус, например, при сворачивании, то NPCScan может не сработать)
4. открываем кино/сериал и смотрим (лучше не на полный экран, а просто растяните окошко)
5. ждем, у меня прокнул Тассариан на 3й серии :) остальные были получены раньше
если ваш сервер не очень населенный, возможно, придется подождать подольше

случайно заметил очень полезную вещь, переходя на другой сервер, меняются сопровождающие вас нпц, таким образом попрыгав через друзей/аддон по разным серверам, можно быстренько сделать ачив.

Вчера висел 4 часа в гнезде, выловил всех, кроме Ната и Тассариана.
А сегодня и Ната выловил.
Много раз видел Манкрика, много раз видел, как народ махал ему и получал ачивы =)
А Тассариана все нет.

Добавлю один момент ,для тех кто ещё не выполнил остальных ачивок,Переходя на другие сервера (через аддон OQ) Вы так же можете получать другие ежедневные задания ,вместо 3 дейликов ,сделать все возможные , получить гораздо больше знаков древа жизни и выполнить все достижения связанные с ними.Удачи в фарме ачив.Орсион Свеживатель душ

С помощью OQ при переходе на другие сервера, ваши спутники меняются на других. Но иногда бывают повторы. Мой опы: 8 раз менял сервера, 5 раз были разные спутники (правда каждый раз не те, которые нужны для ачивы)

Оставил в начале локации верхом на флай маунте на разумной высоте от земли, чтобы не сбили и было видно мобов внизу. Запустил кликер раз в 3 сек. Для антиафка можно в кликер добавить тырк стрелки влево или в право, чтобы персонаж крутился на месте и не улетал. Кроссервер сделает своё дело, пока вы спите.

Почти всех НПС получила, просто выполняя дейлики. Долго не попадался только Тассариан. Сделала следующим образом: занесла его данные в NPC Scan, отключила все фоновые звуки, оставив только звук аддона. Утром ушла на работу, а муж, играющий за соседним компом, периодически кликал мышкой, чтобы моего персонажа, парящего над Гнездом Сетрии, не выкинуло из игры. В итоге в 20:15 аддон закричал, и муж благополучно добил мне ачив) Желаю всем удачи!

Не понимаю, в чём дело. В последнее время появляются только 4 защитника хиджала и ни одного дополнительного нпс.
Сначала думала, что теперь больше не будут появляться те, кто не нужен для ачивы, но не давно видела у игрока Гартока( который в ачивку не входит). Это какая-то ошибка? или всё нормально, и нужно просто мне ждать своего Хэминга...

Народ! мой вам совет, приходите все в гнездо сетрии в 3:00 по серверному времени (какрас обнавится задание)
берите ежедневное задание и бегом туда, тем больше народу тем лучше

11:20 Присоединился ордынец Карнезор-Азурегос в паре с Линкеном.
12:50 Присоединился Турхайердал с Хемингом.
14:50 За два часа побывали люди со всеми 6 НПС. Так что особо терпеливые сделали ачиву одним днем.
15:50 Дождался последнего счастливого обладателя ачивы и пошел делать квесты дальше.

И не забываем про аддон Server Hop.Прыгаем по серверам вечером и кликаем макрос.Не забываем удалить найденных.NPC скан не помогает.Такая связка помогла быстро найти всех и сделать.

Сделала данную ачивку за два дня, меняя своих защитников, с помощью аддона Cross Realm Assist. Так за один день мне прокнули Манкрик, Нат и Хроми. Просто надо сбросить летающих за вами защитников( отлетев, например, в Оскверненный лес), потом поменять сервер и опять прилететь в Гнездо Сетрии - так появится новая четверка. Таким образом можно до победного менять нипов.

Сделала данную ачивку за два дня, меняя своих защитников, с помощью аддона Cross Realm Assist.
Я ливала из пати, которая набрана через аддон, только когда у меня полностью исчезнут защитники при подлёте к Осквернённому лесу ( ибо порой они багались и просто летали за мной несмотря на смену локаций ) и не сходя с места прыгала на другой сервер и летела в Гнездо Сетрии.
Всё РАБОТАЕТ! Нужно только иметь терпение!
1-ый раз у меня НПС поменялся спустя минут 15 "прыганья" по реалмам.

Похоже, в препатче 7.0.3 принцип прока различных соратников в задании изменился.
Несколько дней подряд проверял данный ачив, и заметил, что теперь один из четырёх сопровождающих тебя NPC - гарантировано именной (один из 40+ возможных), и при смене серверов (хоть аддонами типа CRA или SH, хоть стандартным функционалом премейдов) - конфигурация не меняется - с тобой всё так же этот герой и три защитника, на какой бы сервер ты не прыгал.
Стратегия для получения ачива теперь слегка изменится: мы либо каждый день прилетаем в Гнездо Сетрии в надежде, что нам прокнул нужный герой, либо дежурим там часами, выискивая нужных для ачивы NPC у других прохожих.

UPD: Изменился принцип прыжков по серверам, как стало ясно из комментариев разработчиков Server Hop - теперь в межсерверной группе вы перемещаетесь на другой сервер только если находитесь на одной локации с лидером или с большинством членов группы с одного сервера. Во всех остальных случаях вы остаётесь на своём сервере.

Изредка буду хостить группу через Заранее собранные. Остался только Хроми.

UPD2:
Достижение успешно получено 22.10.2016 - спустя каких то 4 года прокнул Хроми. Если кому будет нужна помощь - пишите, подлечу.

27.06.18 днем за полчаса собрали всех 6х. Прокнула Хроми, встала в поиск, присоединился другой игрок с другим нпц для ачивки, потом альянс подлетел, им тоже прокали нпц. Начинала делать мета-ачив еще в 2013-м году. Потом были долгие перерывы в игре, а когда опять вернулась и решила все-таки его доделать, обнаружила, что механика появления нужных нипов определенно изменилась: раньше именные нипы появлялись почти каждый день и среди них очень часто были нужные для достижения, сейчас же за очень редким исключением стабильно ресаются четыре обычных защитника Хиджала, дождаться именного и тем более нужного намного сложнее. Поэтому по совету из комментариев подписалась на дискорд-сервер "Коллективные достижения" и с помощью ребят наконец помахала Манкрику, спасибо им большое!

8 Часов просидел в ожидании Нат Пэгла, но без успешно. Если попадётся - буду признателен если отпишетесь.

P.S. Есть подозрения что Защитники меняются если менять PVP/PVE режим. По крайней мере после первой смены с PVE на PVP режим, вместо одного из защитников появился гоблин (Имя забыл). В последующие смены режима были только защитники.

Update 27.01.2021: Минут 10 назад встретил Морисс - Гордунии с Нат Пэглом, в личку не смог поблагодарить т.к. разные фракции, напишу тут: Спасибо тебе огромное! Я 3 дня сидел в этом богом забытом месте, ты меня спас.))

The six listed aren't the only ones that show up to the fight either. I've also seen Верховный полководец Кромуш, Чолуна, Тони Два Клыка, and Мог'дорг Мудрый and I'm sure there's more.

A note of explanation: For the quest Защитники Хиджала, a group of four druid NPCs will join you in Sethria's Roost to help kill the elites. Occasionally one of the druids will be replaced with a named NPC you may have met before. I've done the quest for about a week now and often see at least one named NPC with other players, though I've only had one escort me once.

It tries to target one of the NPCs, if it doesn't find one, it stops and does not /wave :)

*edit* the second macro wasn't working correctly when it saw two NPCs at the same time, to the point of thinking it waved at one of them when it didn't, and hence didn't wave at them until you relogged. Fixed that :)

Since I don't think it has been explicitly stated - these NPCs will sometimes spawn while someone is on the Guardians of Hyjal quest - they spawn in your (or someone else's) pack of druids.

I've practically lived at the roost for the past two days and I've seen 3 spawn so I expect this to be rather time consuming for most people. Your best bet is to camp the area during your realm's peak hours and spam the macro above.

The "bigass ogre that doesn't do anything" actually does do something. He throws you chunks of meat(?) that, upon hitting you, heal for around 16-17k(at least on my warlock). So, he's a healer, just a...unique one. He is actually Lunk(Чурбан) the pacifist ogre from Searing Gorge.

Unlike those on the PTR I have had relatively good luck. Today was the first day this quest was available and I found all but Mankrik within about five minutes and have seen most of them multiple times.

Perhaps it's RNG bad luck, but I can't help but think Blizzard may have kept Mankrik rarer than the others so they could snicker while we once again bemoaned the fact we can't find Mankrik('s wife!)

My advice is that if you are going for this achievement, hang out in Sethria's Roost for a while and just make a targeting macro. If you find one, /wave and then remove it from the macro. You should get it in a couple hours or less if your server is full of people.

You can add these NPC numbers to your NPCScan addon to speed up the findings, this will give you a warning once the NPC is in the area, so you can go watch a movie instead of spamming a macro 24/7 - Remember to set NPC scan to unmute ingame sound when something is found, and also activate out of game sound in the normal wow options.

Doublechecked when the quest was available in EU today during the zerg right after reset. And got all with NPC scan, was very easy !

NOTE: If you have some of the NPC's already in your cache you can safely delete the \Cache\WDB\enGB\creaturecache.wdb file, that will reset the cache (While wow is closed ofc)

do some of npcs only spawn for a specific faction? Like Mankrik spawns only for horde and Thassarian only spawns for alliance. On a very heavy populated horde server and have yet to see anyone with Thassarian.

Confirmed: yes this is the case. Just gotta get lucky on a one sided population server that someone comes along with the npc.

It seems the more people at the roost, the more variety in the companions. That is a named companion can only be in one group (that I've seen so far). So, the more people that do the quest at the same time, the more likely the different characters are to appear. Also, it appears that companions might be race dependent.

I've had my party "reload", initially I was only getting the 4 protectors, though after a few tries zoning out of Sethira's Roost (just so the name of the area changes, nothing as drastic as hearthing/etc.) and back got me Hemet, though he then showed up for the next few tries. Going to keep trying this (reloading the party) to see who all I can get.

Edit: Okay, looks like it'll just let you reload til you get a "unique" person in the party. I've reloaded the party multiple time,s at varying amounts between them despawning and me reentring the Roost, even dropped the quest and took it again, no luck getting anyone but Hemet.

There are quite a few different named NPCs that can accompany you. Each NPC has multiple phrases that it will say at various points, as follows:

1 phrase when the NPC is first summoned (when you zone into Sethira's Roost)
3 phrases when aggroing or attacking an enemy.
1 phrase when a Seething Pyrelord activates its Reflective Shield ability. With further testing I do not believe every named NPC has a yell for this ability; the NPCs that I have recorded yells for seem to do it fairly often (almost every time Reflective Shield is used), which leads me to believe that those I have not found yells for yet may simply not have one.
1 phrase when the NPC despawns (when you leave Sethira's Roost)

I have collected all of the NPCs I have seen so far, as well as the dialogue I've managed to capture, below. "No data yet" means I have seen the NPC pop up but it hasn't said anything so far. Will update as I find more.

Don't bother to abandon your current quest for this achievement in hope to get another NPC you need for the achievement. I tried it a few times and always got Archmage Xylem on that day. It seems you are stuck with what you get when you first accept the quest.

If you don't want to make a target macro, you can also turn enemy and friendly npc unit frames on, and just fly back and forth until you see them all.

To turn names on go to Game Menu > Interface > Names and check the appropriate boxes.

I got bored: flew off, turned in quest, flew back and instantly got him. He's appeared twice now.

Wondering if having a certain mob in your group means another certain named mob doesn't spawn?

NpcScan went off. Spammed my /tar /wave macro and caught him.

After getting him, I hit /1 up letting people know. but either the allie was killed or left the zone before i could find him again.

What I am wondering is this; Which of these guys are horde only, and which of them are alliance only?

I play on a horde dominated realm and I am horde, and my last hardest char to get is Nat Pagle. I myself have flewn with Mankrik.

From the comments here, it seems Mankrik is horde only, and since I have a hard time getting Nat Pagle, I assume he is alliance only. Can anyone prove otherwise(any horde that have flewn with Nat Pagle / any ally that have flewn with Mankrik)?

Edit: I finally found him.
I can confirm a night elf flying with Nat Pagle.
And I can confirm I(a blood elf) flew with Mankrik.

I did this one earlier on 7/16/11. I did not make the fancy macros or whatever I see people always talking about. I simply sat in the Sethria Roost area and as people came in to do their quest, I would /tar Chromie( or whomever). When their portrait popped up, I would /wave and move on to next one. I just kept going thru list. I was down to Thassarian and came back to Thottbot to see if he was a problem to get, went back to my screen and lowered my toon to ground. Did the /tar Thass and guess who was in front of me : ) Total time was 30 min maybe.

I am convinced that on Shadowsong (EU) Nat Pagle has gone on annual leave. 4 days including all day Saturday and still no sign of him. Everyone waiting at the Roost is complaining of the same thing and maybe its because we only got 21k players on the realm and its only the 11th most populous EU realm. RNG fail? All missing him when he comes? Or bugged out?

Day 4 now, spent 15 hours total yesterday (36 in total over the 4 days) waiting for _NPCScan to spot the Legendary Fisherman while working on another screen, submitted a ticket to Blizzard who says all is working fine these are rare spawns (well duh I didn't get a degree in stating the obvious but I had worked that out). Having got the other 5 while doing the quest on 3 days gave my hope of getting the last one with some waiting around. But seriously 15 hours in a 24 hour period and no spawn?

I am now believing that this is either some day of the week/time of the day thing either globally or per server and maybe even down to phasing or something crazy like that. Anyone got hints on this? Maybe they changed the NPC number from 52244? Maybe my macro is fail

Confirmed on Illidan US at 12:15. I HIGHLY recommend _npcscan. As Illidan is about 10-1 Horde/Alliance, you'll be lucky to find him as most of the Horde players would happily kill him before anyone else can get credit. I personally was reading here to kill time when I switched back to WoW, only to see that Thassarian had been found. Nearly had a heart attack trying to find him.

Just found this achievement recently. I had not really noticed anyone but the Hyjal avengers in that area (because I was busy getting by little 'toon's clothie butt roasted) until I saw Lunk, one of my favorite NPCs, following someone around. Hm. then, I paused to check my potions and noticed that I had Budd with me on a big flying carpet. Didn't know the big dummy was a tailor.

I've really enjoyed reading all the commentary here, as well as the flavor text that each NPC says. This is one of those little touches that makes the game so enjoyable and not just some shoot -em -up. When next I'm there, I will pop the voidwalker and take his shield and just watch, read, and enjoy the show at a somewhat safe remove.

If I get one of the Alli specific NPCs listed, I'll try to remember to stick around the roost so hordies can wave at it.

The spawns do seem to be dependent on something. I've spent 2 weeks looking for nat paggle on and off, spent a lot of time afk'ing in the roost, and it never got cached. Today I tab to wow and him on my npcscan, but it was picked up 15 minutes ago and hes obviously not there anymore. I asked around, people said he was owned by a horde character and got killed quickly. Disappointed, I clear my cache and go back to the roost. In just a few minutes, npcscan picks him up again, this time on an alliance character (and sure enough, he gets killed within a minute).

Good luck getting that achievement if you are in a faction imbalanced server. Last time I saw a single Alliance in the whole zone was over 6 days ago, how am I supposed to find Thassarian? :(

Basically, I didn't use a macro for this achievement, I did mine the hard way,probably should have made a macro, thanks for the macro tip the people who post them as alternatives. I recommend just keeping the quest for killing the elites, and staying around there waiting for other people to do theirs, & you can at least get 3/4 in one day, sometimes you might get all in one day if you're lucky, Mankrik was hard to find for me for some reason.

Personally, since there's so many people to pick from on this quest, you should be able to wave at any 6 to have it count, why only that 6...just out of curiosity, is it the other people aren't important enough? Personally, seeing Lunk or Johnny Awesome during this quest amused me, both of them had really strange & unusual quests.

I got a confirmation from GM that Mankrik is not faction-specific spawn and that he will spawn for both alliance and horde characters, not sure about a rate though. I can upload a screenshot if anyone needs it. Happy hunting! :)

The NPC you get is hardcoded into your quest. If you leave and come back you'll unfortunately get the same NPC all the time.

For the casual and the achievement hunter this comes as a very easy to get achievement with the use of NPCscan or Macro and can be done over the span of your stay at the roost or several days while you complete the daily quest. However with NPCscan you will have to add the ID's and names to the list simply by using /npcscan and copy and paste from the list below.

Each time a new player enters the roost he or she has a chance for one protector to be a spawn on the list below so camping people is an option and the achievement can be done quickly if you want to get this out of the way and move on.

Just do ad some information. For example we have Hemet in the list. Hemet can spawn for both Alliance and horde players, as well for Nat Pagle.

When it comes to Manrik and Thassarian, those are faction based. Manrik spawns from the Horde players, and Thassarian spawns only from Alliance players.

For example me, i have only Thassarian left and due to playing on Al'Akir Eu, we have like 5% Alliance, so i wont see Thassarian any soon.

I had been looking for Mankrik and Thassarian for days and days... finally mankrik popped up (thanks to the macro I noticed him immediately) and , after I waved, I gave an area wide shout out because he seems to be a rare spawn.. within about 4 minutes.. the chat window was "....waved at mankrik".... over and over.. must have been 16 or 17 players were getting him in.....LOL

This achi is getting increasingly difficult with less people doing the dailies. Unless changed, in future it will be near impossible, you could camp for weeks without any result. Make a toon on opposing faction and beg for people to go do the quest and pray they get the correct NPC's? There is always possibilities, I would not expect such a trivial achievement is meant to be that much of a time-consumer.

I have a question, previously I assumed you only got 1 NPC helping you every day, and that NPC reset at the same time as the daily did.
From what im reading, it sounds like the NPCs swap if you are on the quest every so often provided you are in the area?

It seems the NPC spawns will be saved for the day. I got Gurgthock, and neither re-zoning, abandoning nor relogging changed the outcome: 3 protectors and Gurgthock. Patience -_-

i suspect that hellomynameis, is correct. i play a heavily alliance PVE faction, where all the horde play PVP... and mankirk is a myth on my server. im SURE that hes ran off on a suicide misson because of his sadness at the loss of his wife.

As we approach the end of the expansion, with fewer and fewer people completing these dailies, this is probably the very last Molten Front meta achievement people will complete (if ever, in the case of Thassarian and Mankrik--better hope you have an active opposing faction, some cross faction friends, or an absolute boat load of luck).

Horde players! Note that Тассариан can only be spawned as an assistant for alliance players.
Alliance players! Note that Манкрик can only spawn to assist his horde comrades!

Also note that you can get 4xHyjal Protectors sometimes, this is not a bug, and this is your share of guardians this day, meaning that abandoning and/or anything else will not help in getting one of the elites.

Then I had a bright idea. Thought I'd drop the quest, pick it up again, and get a new npc.

So, this is seriously how f'd up this achievement can be. I have two accounts, 16 85s, and about 14 characters that have done the quest to open the Molten Front. I have been after Nat Pagle for literally a month. I decided today to run my horde hunter through the quest chains to open up the front, picked up the protectors quest and flew over to the roost. Yeah, Nat Pagle comes flying up behind me. I am currently dual boxing my main over to get this freaking achievment.

I'm so psyched. Spawned Nat Pagle as an ally early this morning, camped a few hours looking for Mankrit to no avail. Didn't complete the Protectors of Hyjal quest and came back a few hours later and was lucky enough to have NPCScan go off for Mankrit. The Flamebreaker title is in my sights.

For those just looking to complete this achieve, the easiest and laziest way is to park yourself on top of one of the square stone columns and wait for other people to come in Sethria's Roost. Then check the NPCs that are with them and wave at the ones you need or have the macro ready. Granted, there's no telling how long you could have to camp to get them all, but I've got 3 in 30 minutes, so depending on the daily quest traffic, it could save you some frustration.

I just discovered by chance, that the NPC that spawns for you changes when you get ported to another realm. So if you have battle.net friends on other realms, ask them every day to invite you to a group, so that you get ported to another realm for a second. The NPCs next to you will despawn when you get ported, and once you're on another realm, a different NPC will appear. When you leave the group you get the same one which you had originally.

If your friends from other realms have time to help you, just ask them to pick up the quest, then first ask them to invite you to the group (your NPC will change, theirs will be as on their realm), and then disband group and do it the other way around (you invite them to group). When they get ported to your realm, their NPC will change. Therefore two people from different realms can get 4 different NPCs in total in a single day.

I am an achievement hunter started with MoP and this achievement is really annoying to do.

Only Mankrik left for me to /wave but i can not get across him because of the fact that it only spawns to aid an Horde player. As a Silvermoon EU Alliance player, the probability of seeing a horde on this server is less than seeing Mankrik's wife. :) After a 10-hours camping in Sethria's Roost, I decided to do try something else but i do not know it can be done or is it legal to do?

1. Get your Alliance character to the Sethria's Roost and remember the spot you left your char.
2. Level up a horde character to Level 85.
3. Do the Molten Front Dailies to get the Protectors of Hyjal Quest.
4. Everyday check out the npc until Mankrik comes.
5. The day Mankrik arrives ( Oh God i wish i had seen that day) disable your Battle.net's authenticator for fast login.
6. Open lots of explorer with Youtube videos to create a lag on your internet connection.
7. Alt+f4 your screen when you are logged in with your Horde char where you need to remember the spot you left with your alliance char.
8. Login with your Alliance char.
9. Hope a bug occurs where you can see 2 characters logged in the same account to wave Mankrik.

Or Whatever... Damn Blizz... Nerf this achievement for God's Sake!

I am also working on this achievement. It turns out that with cross realm, the team you get on your realm is not the same team you'd spawn if you were pulled to another. All right so, after farming this achie now for two months straight, i got to 5/6 criteria in no time, almost within 10 days, however mankrik the old "only horde" spawn doesn't appear anywhere. So i found a good way to farm this achievement even in late mop... The trick as allways is cross realm! Now with the introduction of 5.4.2. people actually use the "other raids" tool so all you need to do is:

1. Get the quest Protectors of Hyjal
2. Get yourself to Sethria's Roost
3. Queue in the the raid finder tool in "social>raid>other raids" for Ordos (most looked for thing in eu atm) and spam random people from random realms for an invite (note: they can only invite you if you are listed for ordos, and you have to list yourself again after every invite)
4. Farm them in no time!

Today, the first time i tried this on 5.4.2. i got 3 times chromie, 2 times Hemet, 1 time Nat Pagle, 3 times linken! So it should be doable within a couple days! Good luck farming!

Quick tip for post expansion.
Got more than one toon?
Simply log in pick up the quest stand in the roost with your required NPC, then alt F4 it log in to the char you want the achievement on and wave. You only have a small window.

I can't believe there are SO MANY comments on this page, but not even one explains clearly how to get this achievement, so here it goes:

Wait for a day with the daily: Защитники Хиджала (You need to do some Hyjal quests for it to show).

After accepting the quest head over to Sethria's Roost (SW of Mount Hyjal).

Every player will have 4 companions for the quest. (Abandoning and retaking the quest will not work)

Now just wait in the middle of Sethria's Roost for other players to come with their 4 companions and use the following (already posted, not by me):

They don't WANT us to meet all these 6 guys! I just worked it out! Soon as we complete this achievement, we MAY decide to move on from Mt Hyjal. BUT as long as we keep trying for the Daily "Protectors of Hyjal", then we also end up down in Malfurion's Breach, where we turn that quest in. AND THEN we get hooked on the 5/6 other dailies which take us down into Molten Front/Flow ! ( I been doing Protectors .... every day fer bloody WEEKS, and I am 2 of 6. This achevment is ridiculous. Who wants to travel all the way there to have a 1 in a million chance someone will have the one you need, and on top of that, being quick enough to get it done.

Got all but one in one day. Thanks to the wonders of changing the channel via the new tools Blizzard have given us, this can be banged out in a couple days by making RNJesusyour !@#$%, turning what may be a depressingly long and arduous grind into a exciting flitter through parallel universes.

1. Accept the daily quest Protectors of Hyjal.

2. Do your normal NPC check in the Roost. First area (northernmost) should suffice for scouting any other players. Stay in flight >45 yards up. You will stay here for the duration of this achievement

3. Join an Oqeue group (has to be Oqueue. Raid Finder isn't server specific and OpenRaid is way too slow) Oceanic or non doesn't matter at all. I suggest sorting by ilvl and shooting for 551, as this will get you into non pvp groups thus a bit less hassle thrown on random people out there.

4. Check your NPC and look around first area to see if any new players are around. Listen for NPC scan. Get your /wave off if the NPC is there using macro below. You can wait a bit if the raid is changing phase due to people leaving - watch for that telltale momentary phasing of NPCs

5. Leave ASAP, ideally seconds after you're in group after you have confirmed your NPCs didn't spawn and the area is devoid of other players that may have the ones you seek. This lessens the load on raid leaders and also increases your chance of getting another invite from a more promising raid.

6. Type/write down the name of the server you just tried and don't queue into that server again for the day. This is VERY important or you are going to take a lot longer to get this done. The Tinypad addon is perfect for this.

7. Rinse repeat starting at step 3 until you have the cheeve or start seeing the same NPCS again and again... or you somehow have hit every server for the day.

This changed the NPC of the day for me. The NPC seems to be tied to the unique pairing of your toon with the realm you're on - but it definitely cycles between a set each day. Each day I did this first day I kept getting a different set of 4-5 NPCs as companions (out of ~40 NPCS and running through ~100 different servers) and on other days they didn't show up at all, replaced by another set of NPCs that kept showing up. The first day Thassarian, didn't show up at all, the second day Thassarian was with me ~20 times out of ~100 server samples. If the NPCs were equally randomized the chances of this happening would be astronomical.

Not sure if they are rotated or it's completely random but I strongly suspect the former. I did however test if battlegroup made any difference and it does not. It's probably tied to the finite number of ephemeral crossrealm clusters. At the very least I would do this method until your NPCs start replicating, which would be ~10 servers.

In any event, I suggest to always be on new servers. It's a bit nefarious to keep leaving raids but makes this achievement doable... certainly faster/easier/more successful and efficient than the complicated message board system you guys have been attempting here, or showing up every day for months on end to hope for a smile from RNJesus.

I found Tuesday Wednesday Thursday nights are ideal, that's when OQ is rolling like a slot machine on steroids. Otherwise on a slow day you cycle through all available groups very quickly. BUT - 1 dude from a small server is just as helpful as a 40 man so it balances out somewhat.

I also cycled between OQ and Raid Finder. Seems I got ~30 NPCs an hour doing this on a Thursday once I lost the fear of waitlisting just about any group, I just made sure to leave very quickly if no NPCs were around. I did get a lot of repeats. I got all but one on the first day after cycling through ~100 servers. Sometimes in a slow patch I did a quick scenario or dungeon.

Note you do NOT need to abandon/re-accept quest, or even zone in and out of the Roost area

These cross realm principles have worked wherever bosses are randomized, ie the Bombing cheeve from the Klaxxi area. Double dip the RNJesus with Strike at the Heart and Death from Above to randomize those bosses as well

Got my last one (Link!) this morning when I woke up. I had left WoW on all night with my razer naga spamming the "0" button. The "0" button was the macro above. A slim shady but got the job done. I personally would be careful doing that because it's not 100.00000% kosher. But I suspect I could have just done this and afk for 24 hours on a busy server and got them all. The jury's out IMHO on Blizz caring about Razer Naga or programmable keyboards. But &@^$% it. This cheeve is hell to do these days. If you feel any guilt for making some random people click an extra button or two or for using a naga macro, you can always pay it forward by logging out with a rare NPC.

So surf those waves of chaos!

To make this even more idiotproof, add NPC scans via Paste

Also, Cyamisfits and BN Friends Counter addons are useful for monitoring your bnet list and occasionally clearing it out.

Also here is a great leave instance group macro, bind it, I use it all the time (bind it to something hard to missclick, it's also good for escaping crossrealm wpvp)

I don't know if this has been mentioned already.

If you get invites across realms, the npc's change.
So if you have chromie on your realm when another person invites you to there realm it will change your npc to someone else.

If you're having trouble with the faction-specific Thassarian and Mankrik, you can solo the achieve if you have at least one cross-faction alt (level 85+) on the same server (or at least one that's CRZ to yours).

It's a lot of work—and still slow—but if you progress your cross-faction alt in the Hyjal questline to the point where it can pick up Защитники Хиджала, you can park your alt there and check back once a day for the NPCs that you need.

If you get Mankrik/Thassarian on your alt, close your game as fast as you can WITHOUT logging out. Then use your battle.net client to quickly start your game up again, and log in on the toon that needs Mankrik/Thassarian. Your alt should still be standing there for a few seconds with all their NPC helpers, and if you're speedy then you can /wave them before the game auto-logs your alt.

With the dearth of people doing the Hyjal dailies, it's the only way I could get my achieve.

As of 6.0.3, another big problem, if it wasn't enough, is that it's quite easy that a protector won't spawn at all for you for the day, making the achievement even harder to complete :(

I've found that Thassarian is currently in Shadowsong and am currently waiting there above the cave right bfr the entrance to Setherias Roost. Something that may sound a little stupid but I think is worth mentioning: if you want to share you NPCs and you aren't done with quests yet DON'T turn in the Protectors of Hyjal quest because the NPCs won't spawn unless you have it in your quest log. I wanted to share Thassarian with an Horde player but I ended up wasting his time since when I got to Sethria's Roost I realised the NPCs didn't spawn at all.

I'll try to be online all day long, but its Saturday and my little boy wants some attention, so please have patience - my alt (shaman) with Thassarian are there, but from time to time I will switch to my main.

Update2: the recap of my day is that I am glad that I helped so many horde players and few ally, so they can finish or progress on their achievement. Most of you guys/gals were really good to me and had really nice time and chats, thanks again.

Special "thanks" to Teranta from Drak'thul - its really "powerful" to kill a low lvl character that tries to help others, so they can make their achievement... you are overpowered and awesome! Just cant be more macho then this.

And sadly no Mankrik for me today :) but my time will come as well. I'll go deliver my quest now, think I've waited enough.

So for whatever reason, I'm having phasing problems at the roost, when I invite (an actual invite or on chat) people to come /wave at an NPC. Nothing I've or anyone else has tried works. Thoughts, anyone?

Apparently if you're doing a lot of server hopping ,your own protectors will change fairly often. I know this doesn't help with the faction specific ones ,but at least you can get some of the ones done that spawn for your faction.All you need to do is be in the Sethria's roost area, and join a group. If you see no other opposing faction members, fly back to the Sanctuary of Malorne and leave the group.Fly back to Sethria's roost and you should get a different set of followers each time. Also different servers may be offering different quests that day ,so in theory you can get a few extra Знак Древа Жизниeveryday completing those. Happy hunting all!

In order for us all to get this achievement, please do the quest at, say, 7.30pm server time. The more players doing this at the same time, the easier it'd be to "shop" between the followers.

If you happen to get one of the six followers, please hang around for e.g. 15-30 minutes to help other players get the achievement. Even better, list a custom group to allow others to do realm switching.

I found mankrik again! I'm on US-Korgath

I'm still looking for Thassarian so any help on that front is appreciated!

But beware!
If you are realm hopping and find one of the npc for the achievement you can phase back to your realm but he won't stay with you if you leave the roost/log out/ abandon quest
The only way/highest chance to generate the npc again if you leave the roost/log out is, if the npc spawned on your home realm. But even in this case the npc might depend at which time you spawned him.

You found a npc like mankrik or thassarian -> post immediately on Wowhead and the forum (battletag/realm) -> don't log out/phase or leave the area if possible -> chances are high that you get a missing npc by someone visiting you

It is for sure getting only harder to complete this achievement. There are some ways to help yourself doing this.

1) Once you're at Sethria Roost and you see nobody's here, go to premade groups interface (I -> premade groups -> custom) and check the list for groups to join to from other realms. You can check realm by moving your cursor over the name of group and checking leader (NickName-RealmName). Most of them have autoaccept marked, so you can easily hop to another realm and check if you can find someone there.
2) - if you don't have required NPC with you, try to abandon the quest, then hop to another realm (as I explained above) and get quest again - it might work.
3) Find someone from horde / alliance to meet in Sethria Roost everyday until you all get what you need.
4) Use targetting macros for these npc and /wave on them. It helps alot.

When I was starting this achi again 2 days ago, I was missing Mankrik, Thassarian and Chromie. By using 1, 3 and 4 advice, I luckily completed this today with total time spent like 3-4 hours. Wish you all luck guys!

Hi guys!
I'm back to some old achievements which i started some time ago.

Now i'm missing:
- Mankrik

I'm checking daily my fellow company and i'm sure that sooner or later i'll have some NPCs required in the achievement. Therefore feel free to add me (Bagins#1918) if you have any which i miss, cause will be able to exchange / repay mine as soon as i have one.

I'm playing on Burning Legion EU in Alliance but nowdays by using group finder even opposite fraction won't be a problem.

Still in desperate hunt for Mankrik... for cc. 2 years now. And today AGAIN I did not have any named protector... I don't like this fashion at all :S At least there would be any of them to help someone else, but no... :(

I learned tonight that you can realm hop and change who you get -- without having to drop the quest each time.

Simply fly outside of Sethria's Roost until the guardians go away; then hop to another realm and fly back into the Roost.

The odds still aren't great: hopped 15 times and only saw one that I needed. More options if you have one partner hopping with you.
