You need to collect 5 Iridescent Mana Silk scattered around the quest area. Then it will spawn a mob to kill but mobs don't drop this item. Once you collect all 5 items you can craft the Bolt of Mana Silk at the Unoccupied Mana Loom in the same quest area.

If you are quick you can mount up before the worm spawns and fly away, BUT unlike most mobs this worm will be attacking you immediately when you fly back into the area. The only way to actually loose agro is to either log out, or fly north into Silvermoon (a different zone) and come back.

You don't need to be a tailor to do this. Just pick up spools of thread lying around the area & then interact with the loom to create the bolt of cloth.

Picked this quest up on a low level character with random quests started and couldn't see the quest items. Feels like some random quest phases it out.

Somehow this is the first time I've ever gotten this quest and I just want to know who the idiot was that designed it. Every time I pick up some thread, I get attacked by a wyrm that wasn't even there and it also sometimes attracts the others. What the hell is going on?

These things are very tiny. I had to dismiss my pets, look for the little sparkles, and mouse over.

I noticed if I looted the quest item from max range, I didn't get a mob to spawn. Not sure if it's coincidence for by design.

Gather 5 Iridescent Mana Silk and weave it into a Bolt of Mana Silk Cloth at the North Sanctum.

Description

Battle prowess and magical skill are important, of course, but one cannot deny the power of appearances. A well-dressed army instills far more faith than one bedecked in rags. Fortunately, a fine set of robes can be both flattering and functional. The mana silk produced at the North Sanctum can be woven into robes that deepen and intensify our magical reserves. Be a dear and gather some for us, would you? My wardrobe could use a seasonal refreshment.
