In case you wander what to do with your Coffer Key Shards, you can talk to Naleidea Rivergleam to combine them into Restored Coffer Key.
LE: If you enter any delve , your Coffer Key Shards gets automatically glued into Restored Coffer Key. I'm not sure if Coffer Key Glue is required for this or not and I cannot test it since I already got it. Maybe someone that doesn't have Coffer Key Glue yet can test this.

Now it seems it also auto changes to keys once you enter bountiful delve.

Ways of converting Coffer Key Shards to Restored Coffer Key:

1. Auto when you enter a delve
2. Talk to Naleidea Rivergleam
3. Buy Coffer Key Glue from Naleidea Rivergleam to be able to convert anywhere. (This is pointless because see the next sentence)

NOTE: If you've hit the 600 Coffer Key Shards weekly cap, converting them to Restored Coffer Key does NOT allow you to loot more. Therefore, the maximum Restored Coffer Key you can earn per week is 6.

Ways of earning Coffer Key Shards:
1. Doing the weekly faction activities will give you shards (Wowhead guide)
2. Killing rares gives 25 50 Coffer Key Shards each (nerfed from 50 to 25 in S2). Rares on The Coiled Isle currently give 50.
3. World quests
4. One-time (account-wide): The 2 delve vendors each sell a free epic cache, one of which (can't remember which) contains 2 Restored Coffer Key for the character you buy it with.
5. Buy from Naleidea Rivergleam for 2k Undercoin (not worth)
6. Prey (50 75 Coffer Key Shards each on any difficulty) (nerfed from 75 to 50 in S2)

f you're confused like I was about why your main sees Coffer Key Shards as World Quest rewards but your alt doesn't: it seems to be tied to item level. My alt was at iLvl 233 and only saw gear rewards; as soon as I equipped new boots and hit iLvl 236, the rewards switched to Coffer Key Shards. Hope this helps!

Blizz, why can't you understand "balance"? During TWW, I was struggling to keep my keys up (and that's if you didn't randomly delete them every few months). Now I'm constantly capped on shards, I can't run enough delves to use them all and every time I open up a chest or kill a rare, there's more. What is your problem?

Looking for shards and crests ? Fly through the blue whirling circles in the sky if you are level 90 and a good percentage of them will give you coffer key shards and also adventure crests. The blue circles are not always in every zone but it pays to pick them up, easy way to get shards and crests to convert.

The 600 per week limit for Coffer Key Shards is some serious bull*!@#.
