If you're looking as to where you turn this in. You turn it into Ebyssian located at 56.6, 56.68 in Loamm.

It's too bad that I do not have the time to sit in raids for hours any more. To do the whole campaign only to come to this "quest" kinda sucks. Oh well.

EDIT: My bad on this one. It is not a raid item at all. Basically, you go in with the quest "A Flame, Extinguished" (A Flame, Extinguished) which became available on 6-13-2023. You speak to Wrathion or Sabellian outside of Aberrus in Zaralek Cavern. They have a "quest" dialogue where they take you into a scenario more or less. Run through it with relative ease in 15 or so minutes and done.

I should not have made the assumption I did on 5-12-2023.

I found Ebyssian at 44, 15.6 on top of a building, if you can't find him just outside the raid or in Loamm.

Seems that if you defeated Sarkareth before taking this quest, it won't count

Would someone tell me the requirements for this raid, as it's not showing up as available. I'm at 406, and have the quest. No raid I have shows that boss in it.

You are able to complete this by defeating Sarkareth in LFR.

I forgot to turn this in after raid and now I can noy locate Ebyssian to turn it in. I have been to both locations shown on the wowhead and still no luck finding him... i dont even show the '?' on the quest map. is there a way to fix this or do I just abandon the quest?

do you need a certain amount of rep to get this? I could swear I have finished the storyline on all my alts but some dont have this quest nor is it available

If none of the Ebyssians at the above-mentioned positions have a ? after you've completed the quest, try dropping A Flame, Extinguished if you have it in your log.
After I did that, Ebyssian showed up in front of the raid entrance with a yellow questionmark.

As noted several times here, Ebyssian has been recorded in several locations:

Ebyssian - several locations near the Aberrus raid entrance -- or in the town of Loamm.
Ebyssian - one location directly outside the Aberrus raid entrance.
Ebyssian - at the Seat of the Aspects atop Valdrakken.

In my case, I have already completed A Flame, Extinguished and found Ebyssian three places (at Loamm; atop the building a few hundred yards from the Aberrus raid; and at the Seat) BUT none offered quest turn-in. My game map question mark thinks he is the one at the Seat of the Aspects. However, I see six dragons and none have quests to offer or pending. Originally, I had accepted the quest from Loamm under release 10.2.5 and did it same day, but cannot turn it in now.

UPDATE - PATCH NOTES 2024-01-22: Players who are trying to turn in the raid quest, "Aberrus, the Shadowed Crucible: Sarkareth" but are unable to, should return to the Seat of the Aspects in Valdrakken and find Ebyssian. He should allow you to turn in the quest now.

Got the quest, saw that it's in RAID quest bracket and abandoned it, because I tought it requires full group.
I was with Wrathion and Sabellian, clicked a dialogue option and "finished" the quest, Sakareth was already killed when I actually got to the end of Q, but game didn't counted it as kill...
Kind of a BUG - noone tought that someone can be as stupid as me :P

I had the same issue as previous commenters regarding turning the quest in. Ebyssian was in three different locations but I was not able to complete the quest. After Submitting a ticket I got what looked/sounded like an automated response with basically the same exact wording as this bug report article: https://us.battle.net/support/en/article/338038
After stating my issue still wasnt resolved and that it's not player solvable A GM contacted me ingame and completed the quest manually.

After that I asked the GM if he knew what the issue might be, this was his response: "Not really, it should be fixed but seems to reappear by time depending on the character progress."

So still no real solution except contacting support. Nice to know that customer support still works tho! I got contacted and helped within 30 minutes of submitting my intial ticket.

(Side note: my character has completed all story content, including patch 10.1, 10.1.5, 10.1.7, 10.2 and 10.2.5)

As of this morning, 23-01-24 (patch 10.2.5.53040), I was able to (finally) hand in the quest to Ebyssian at the Seat of the Aspects

Apparently you can finish this quest in Story Mode (with followers) but where is the NPC?

It's supposed to be near the entrance but nowhere to be found.

Any idea how to enter in story mode? There's no NPCs at entrance.

If you're not seeing Ebyssian near the entrance to the raid, it's a phasing issue. Look for him at the Seat of the Aspects above Valdrakken. If you've completed the Dragonflight storyline, he's most likely there and will let you enter Story Mode.
