To complete the quest you have to use Artifact Locator
and follow the light which will reveal the Artifact Fragment
You have to stand really close to the artifact to see it

Not sure what to do. Last artifact is not appearing, have done rest of the world quest and the followed the dot to the last point and artifact is not there. Have logged out and back in, have reloaded. no results.

IF it's bugged and you've only been able to kill the dragons around, but can't get to the secondary part of the quest. Just log off and log back in. You'll see the push button by the weekly quest.

For some reason I kept getting directed to the X shaped logs by the river but no artifact would appear.

If you have this same thing happen, try going to the west side of the large tree on the north side of the area.
That is where I found my last artifact to pickup. As long as the quest item travels over the artifact, you can still grab it.

The Artifact Locator seems to be bugged right now. Refer to the waypoints in and then go to the spots to see the artifact. It only appears when you're really close to it.

- Kill mobs until 100%

When i was doing last one Sensor was taking me all the time to empty slot, I move around zone and i fine last one. I think some bug come when i was looking for 3rd artifact and accidently i discower 5th one that why sensor was not taking me to 3rd one XD sounds crazy but what i cen say xD.

The coordinates mentioned in the other comments are correct and you do not need to use the device at all.
Just move close enough to see the item, click and loot!

Okay, so I figured out why this quest seems to be bugged.

The artifacts are in a designated spot. If you get any artifact without using the scanner, the scanner will still tell you to go there if you are up to that particular one.

However, when you are up to the one that the scanner is telling you to go to, but you already looted it, it will just keep telling you it is there when it is not. This is why some players are stuck going to a spot that is not the designated area for the one they have left. I was stuck at 4 of 5 but that was because I looted it as soon as I arrived at the WQ without the scanner.

Just go through each spot below, and you will finish the WQ.

Time has passed and Can't Have These has been simplified.

There is no Artifact Locator in the quest description and the item doesn't appear next to the quest name. Pick up the 5 artifact fragments in any order. Most were rounded white fragments with a gold pattern, but one was a triangular silver fragment. Kill enough Sundered Flame forces to fill the progress bar.

I noticed the artifact fragments are in fixed places (did the quest on 3 characters):

There is an artifact fragment on the floor of the lower round room across from an upright table.
There is a fragment near the fire. The fire is to the right of the stairs that lead to the high room.
There is a fragment near the lamp post closest to the ruins. It's between the lamp post and the water. There is nothing on the bridge or in the water.
To find the only fragment that is triangular, start at the lamp post closest to the ruins. Walk diagonally across the large area of green grass and look for sparkles.
Continue walking over the grass away from the ruins. Head toward the distant rocks and a low waterfall. Look to your right. There is an artifact fragment near a red bush.
(This fragment is shown in 2 of my screenshots taken from different angles: one view shows grass and a green dragonkin and the other shows the red bush.)

The same fragments are available for each player.

The quest was not completable for various reasons. First of all, no one mentioned that mob agro is terrible in this area. They come from everywhere and respawn constantly. Going around looking for the artifacts is suicide unless you are really geared and a lvl 70, and if this is the case you don't need to bother with this quest. Bring a friend if you want to do this thing. I was never able to locate all the artifacts and my lvl 69 Warrior got tired of getting killed over and over. The coordinates of 12, 40, 41,42, and 43 indicate that the artifacts appear in a straight line. They don't. And some kind of an artifact locator to show you where the artifacts are? Ummm.... Why wasn't this item mentioned in the quest? I never heard of it till I came here and will have to research to find out how to get it. This quest is not worth the effort to me, I may come back to it but not any time soon.

Just had to do the whole quest without the " Artifact Locator"... which was fun... it never showed up in my bags.

I think the artifacts disappear when claimed, so if a lot of people are in the area, the items are despawning. I had a hard time finding any so I waited until my fellow players finished the quest and then I found a bunch.
