Blizz, in another example of their seemingly unending ability to screw up quests has made the spawn rate of the mobs in this train ride unfathomably slow...so if you're in there with even one person ahead of you, you just circle around an empty forest with nothing to kill...ridiculous

These patrol quests are all just weird to play. It's really sad because if anyone plays through it more than a couple times they quickly realize that there are two serious problems that seem like they'd be easy to solve.

Respawns need to be faster as the instance is shared with others.
The range needs to be longer, it's bizarre how short it is, I feel like every other group I go for is slightly out of my range.

It's like being on The Pirates of the Caribbean ride at Disneyland, only to realize every set piece has already been triggered so you'll only get to see and hear the very tail end of them. Absolutely disgusting.

The mobs should respawn every ~6 seconds.

Starting this quest was bugged a couple of times for me (and still is): when accepting it and - without closing the window first - immediately telling Marasmius "let's go!" he will take you to the location all right. And you will be able to crush the targets as well - but they don't count.

If this happens to you, click the "leave vehicle" button which brings you back to Marasmius' place.

You need to approach him again (the quest is already in your log) and give him the "go" answer.
Then proceed with the quest as intended - except that you run basically in your own wake of destruction and may have to take a couple of laps until you have all the targets killed.

I wish these quests could be completely phased. It's very irritating to spawn behind another player or get one spawned in front of you. Of course if that player is from same faction the kill credit is shared - unless the mobs despawns before you get to tag them.

When you accept the quest and select "Let's ride", it's not registering the "Speak to Marasmius" objective. You *have to* exit the dialogue completely, and speak to him again, and select "Let's ride" for it to count.

*This actually applies to all of the Hyphae Patrol/ride along quests from him.*

(I may have done this quest without checking to see if I was getting kill credits right away... on more than one occasion. If this happens, just click the exit vehicle button, and talk to him again.)

I've done this several times now and each time I start, I get no credit for kills. Dismount, clear cache on PC, restart and am getting credit for kills.

TOP TIP: When taking any Hyphae Patrol Quest, leave the dialogue and speak with Marasmius BEFORE you go back and click on the "Let's Ride!" option or you won't get credit for your kills.
