Simply arrive in Lorlathil with 5 x Sylvan Elixirs, and turn them in to an NPC in town. Received rank 2 of the Sylvan Elixir recipe.

Nice Blizzard for the Chicken Before the Egg scenario! You can't make them in the zone because you are stuck at rank 1 which requires you to make them in Dalaran at the Alchemy Station.

Confusing at first because it makes you think you need to find something or talk to the NPC, Sylvia Hartshorn, to get the Elixirs. That's not the case. You need to obtain them and turn them in to Sylvia Hartshorn.

As for obtaining the Elixirs, don't wrack your brain over it. Go to the AH. They were selling for like 60g each on my server.

Anyone know the last time this WQ was offered? I don't think I've seen it at all.

I've gotten this quest 3 weeks in a row, normally these quests turn into one that gives you either normal materials or bloods once completed but I somehow got this recipe before I did this quest and it seems to be bugged. I've completed this quest 3 times and gotten a recipe I can't use. I'll update this once I put in a ticket and get a response.

Okay. Step by step.

If you are not lazy:
1) gather your shopping list.

Shopping list:
10 Crystal Vial
20 Yseraline Seed
25 Dreamleaf

2) Go to the Dalaran Agronomical Apothecary, make 5 Ancient Healing Potion
3) Use Ancient Healing Potion to make Sylvan Elixir
4) Then fly out to Lorlathil, Val'sharah (54.7, 73.2) and hand in your 5 Sylvan Elixir to Sylvia Hartshorn

If you are lazy:
1) go buy the 5 Sylvan Elixir of the auction house
2) Then fly out to Lorlathil, Val'sharah (54.7, 73.2) and hand in your 5 Sylvan Elixir to Sylvia Hartshorn

TA DA. Done.

I saw this quest pop once on the map. Definitely don't remember it having an exclamation mark over it, or I would have hustled. But when I got to Val'sharah, I actually only had two sylvan elixers, because I'd been used to the Argus ones where you only needed two. So ok, I fly back to dalaran and make a few more. But when I return to Val'sharah, the quest is gone. I check the timers on existing quests, and am pretty certain a rotation hadn't even happened recently. Certainly not in the time it took me to fly to Dalaran and back.

That was over a month ago. The quest hasn't popped again since. I've still got 5 Sylvan Elixirs in my bag, kicking myself every time I see them.
