If you loose him simply wait a moment and he should pop back up. :)

Take him to the green crystal formation around . He will start channeling and lots of flayers will start attacking you. Just kill them and the quest will complete. :)

If you abandon the quest for whatever reason, you can pick it up again by doing either of the following:

a) Fly back to Kor the Immovable and wait a minute or two for the quest giver to spawn again.

OR

b) Pick the quest up from another player's Pebble.

The pathing is horrible if he stops following you backtrack and go around the pillars etc until he moves. I had to take a less-than-direct route to get him to follow me.

Just use vanish when the mobs spawn if you're a rogue, and the quest will complete :)

Horrible but doable ofcourse. I made it with my priest by using a flying mount. Just hover around the crystal until the little one starts to channeling and stay up in the air on your mount all the time. For me the screen told me "Entering combat" and later on "Leaving combat". I made a short landing and then went up in the air again directly. The quest was successful and I could complete it without any damage done to the gear.

well first i kept losing him, turns out he wants to walk on a certain path. so i did that. a flayer knocked me off my mount..i suppose just dont fly close the ground..but u wont be able to click the ? when the quest is done anyways.

i didnt die, i just aoed the flayers. i am a bit geared on the toon i was using but if i wasnt i'd have died.

I kept losing the elemental too. Turns out one reason why is, of course, those dumb flayers kill him. So hop on your flying mount and avoid them, or get one of the giants to stomp them for you. However, I had no problem killing the flayers at the crystal. They seemed to have low heath.

You must go to an exact spot, there's no way to be sure at first and many people get frustrated with this clumsily designed quest.

Go to 30.6, 48.3 if you have coordinates. Just to the right of the longest-jutting out green crystal on the ground.

"It's still a buggy quest; first time Pebbles got stuck I had to go exactly over a white/blue crystal for it to follow. Still had to go back and forth 2-3 times after that for it to follow me properly. I can see this easily break the quest chain here for many people who give up."

If you're having trouble getting Pebble to do anything once you arrive at the rock formation, try dismissing any other non-combat pet you might have out. For some reason, he wouldn't start channeling until I got rid of my other pet.

nothing was attacking cos i killed everything, and wherever i go little pebble wont do his channeling, bugged ?

confirmed: You can land, attack a single target to summon pebble.
Then mount up and fly in and out of combat until the quest is complete, taking no damage .

I had to stand on the ground right beside the green crystals around 29,45.

This also meant I had to kill monsters. By the time I had finished, the quest had been completed on its own.
