This is not a difficult quest, but does require you to go through most of the sections of Scarlet Monastary, save for the graveyard. With a group of 5 38-40+ players, it is easily done in two to three hours, if you can move quickly. The rewards for this quest are very nice for rogues and warriors especially, as the Black Menace is a very nice dagger for rogues and the Bonebiter is a very good 2H Axe for warriors. The Sword isn't too bad, but not that great, while the Orb is pretty nice for mages I would think. So definitely a worthwhile quest and you can gain a decent amount of XP while doing it.

Blades of Light! Herod (http://www.wowhead.com/?npc=3975) is located in the armory wing.

Houndmaster Loksey (http://www.wowhead.com/?npc=3974) is located in the library wing. He's in the 1st little alcove off of the courtyard.

Really worth doing it. With a group of :
- Warrior 44
- Mage 43
- Warlock 41
- Warrior 38
- Priest 35

We've done it in around one hour and half.

The hardest part is the Cathedral where Mograine and Whitemane hangs out. But all of the instances can be 3manned if you have a group of level 40-43 people, and doing it like that is a great way to get some exp around that level.

A warning for those of you who are being run through with higher level friends. If too many DoTs are applied to Whitemane or if there is simply too much DPS, it is possible to kill her before she is able to rez Mograine for the third part of that fight. If she does die prematurely (and I have had it happen), then you will be unable to get loot from at least Mograine , if not her as well. I cannot quite remember. In any case, be careful. :)

when killing Whitemane, make sure she does not die before she rezes mograine...if she dies you will not get loot or xp for the quest (i found this out the hard way)

For locks who are looking to boost their stamina, the Sword of Serenity partnerned with Mordresh's Lifeless Skull would be a good combination to look at.
Gives you +14 stamina (yeah the +4 spirit is worthless) and 13 spell damage.

More stam than any other 1h and offhand combinations, or any two handers out there.

Rogues, warriors: Combine Sword of Serenity http://www.wowhead.com/?item=6829 with Vanquisher's Sword http://www.wowhead.com/?item=10823 and you have yourselves a lovely stamina / attack power combination :)

for alliance going to scarlet monastery.

the quest giver for this quest stays at an inn which is in southshore. southshore as you may or may not know is in the hillsbrand foothills, a zone with a level range of about 22-32. follow the path out of southshore and onto the main road, once here turn to the direction of silverpine forest (left i think, but check your map to be safe) follow that path all the way into silverpine forest.

this part is pretty easy, just follow the path and any turnings you should click your map (hotkey 'm') and make sure your cursor is facing directly up. follow the path while keeping this in mind and you will eventually come out at tirisfal glades, the undead starting zone.

be carefull of the guards as they will not hesitate to try to kill you, as you are running on a path go past the zepplin drop-off and keep on that path. after about 10-20 seconds you will come across some low level undeads on little stands (these are profession trainers) very near to them is a faint dirt path, follow the dirt path and you will find yourself with 2 turnings. 1 way leads to a bunch of level 8 scarlet people, the other way leads to the monastery.

and thats how you do it.

well the simple reason why bonebiter is not better or even close to being as good is the raw dmg boost you will recive in seal of command with a 187 top end dmg as opposed to the weaker 152 top end dmg, seeing SoC like most other 2 hand dps specs base their dmg entirely off the top end damage, and the proc rate of any enchants is also modified by the speed of a weapon. in the long run if you can make a dk and park it in uldaman to farm the axe or pick it up cheap its well worth the gold no matter who tries to say different.

Incorrect. You only have to meet the minimum level requirement, which is 4 higher than the horde version of this quest for whatever reason.

Kinda crappy caster reward for this. The orb that the main boss in the Graveyard is better imo (no stats but 12 Spell Power) is much better..and requires no quests.

In the Name of the Light

This quest was marked obsolete by Blizzard and cannot be obtained or completed.

Kill High Inquisitor Whitemane, Scarlet Commander Mograine, Herod, the Scarlet Champion and Houndmaster Loksey and then report back to Raleigh the Devout in Southshore.

Description

I once served the Scarlet Crusade with honor, loyalty and pride. I believed their cause to be a noble one: to rid Azeroth of the undead.

But as I spent time at the Monastery in Tirisfal Glades I realized that their grasp on reality was slipping. They now think everyone is plagued who doesn't wear the tabard of the Crusade. Innocent men and women were tortured because they were supposedly plagued.

The Scarlet Crusade must be crushed in the name of the Light. You, <name>, must destroy the deranged regime.
