Timegating these events immediately kills any sort of excitement players may feel. I guess they don't care as long as their "keep monthly subs" requirements get met. It's honestly kind of disgusting.

Sick more time-gating so Blizzard can artificially bump retention metrics in quarterly reporting. Love how these live service games have become a corporate calendar.

Just to clarify, this quest's requirements for Orgrimmar (week 2 if you started immediately) have progressed, compared to week 1 in Stormwind.

Rather than all four areas, now *only* the 2 Lost areas (Valley of Wisdom and Valley of Honor) count, so a full clear will net you 2 Black Blood Coagulate instead of 4.

You WILL get bloods for:

Helping Geya'rah kill mobs, 2 mini bosses, and 1 area boss (Valley of Wisdom).
Killing Rexxar and his pets (Valley of Honor).

You will NOT get bloods for:

Helping Zekhan remove the totems, free his pals, and kill an area boss (Valley of Spirits).
Helping Garona to check for survivors and then killing an area boss (The Drag).

No masks required and the bloods will be in the chest you open at the end, after you kill Thrall (Grommash Hold).

In order to receive the Black Blood Coagulate, you can simply run directly to the "Geya'rah" and "Rexxar" areas, complete them, and then run back (or better yet, click the wind totem) to return the center of the map to defeat "Thrall". You can bypass "Zekhan" and "Garona" entirely, as well as any adds along the way.

If you have been trying to kill "Zekhan" and "Garona" prior to defeating "Thrall", you will not receive the Black Blood Coagulate.

Fastest way to complete Enhancing Corruption and get 8xBlack Blood Coagulate

Is to enter Vision of Orgrimmar with no mask on.
Maybe bring some invisible potions to skip the first trash uptil the first door on the way to Valley of Wisdom.
Clear the trash and complete the area of Valley of Wisdom.
Go die in the out area place at:
/way #2403 52.67 47.38
Loot 1xBlack Blood Coagulate
Repeat 7 more times.

Yes, you can also get one from killing Rexxar in Valley of Honor but you have to go tru the Drag. So faster to just die/end the vision and start over.

How to do runs in less than five minutes:

1. Enter vision. as soon as you're inside, use one of the Sanity Restoration Orbs. You're not going to need these anyway, and having 3 in the end will slow you down.
2. Go forward into Valley of Strength, 1 of 2 things will now happen, you get slowed down or sped up.

If you get slowed, use a speed ability and an invisibility pot/stealth ability.
If you get sped up, just mount up and run through mobs.
I found that the effect changes every run, so it lines up well with invis potion cooldown, because you can't use it every run if you do it fast.

3. You're going to run west, towards the Valley of Wisdom. Completely disregard Zekhan and the elite mob in the in-between area, just hug right side and go through.
4. Enter Valley of Wisdom, pull all and clear the area. (I personally pulled the coagulated blood monster first, and did damage to it as i moved towards the hulk. Doesn't really matter.)
5. While waiting for short RP, use the last two of your Sanity Restoration Orbs.
6. Kill Geya'rah.
7. Go die at around 54.48. Just standing there will kill you. If you havn't used your orbs by this point, it will take longer to die.
8. Loot chest for blood, rinse and repeat.

Doing this method I got my runs down to about 3min pr + the extra time going out and in etc.

I did this on a San'Layn UH DK 678ilvl. I'm sure some classes with better mobility/stealth can do it faster.
Going Rider might be pretty good for DKs but I couldn't be bothered.
This method is a lot faster than going back and kill warchief or trying to include rexxar in the run.

If you're completing the quest in Stormwind, you get one Black Blood Coagulate in the Mage Quarter.

are the rewards for this worthless now ?
it says in the description for each one "this effect is fleeting and will only work during the War Within Season 2"

i'd be wasting 1k of the displaced momentos....right ?

This does not work in Season 3. It's a waste of resources, as far as I can tell. It should have been removed.

Enhancing Corruption

Find Black Blood Coagulate and Displaced Corrupted Mementos from the bosses of the Lost areas of the Horrific Visions.

Description

Welcome back adventurer. I have made a new discovery but I need to test it out. Hidden in the Lost areas of the Horrific Visions I believe is a rare black blood coagulate. This might be the key to increasing the power of the corruption effects... in a safe way. If you can go into these areas and find this item and also bring me back more displaced corrupted mementos I should be able to increase the potency of the corruption effects.
