Why would I ever take a boat over dragonriding, or regular flying, or a mage portal, or going to the portal room. In fact, have blizz actually given anyone a reason to go to these places in the first place?Or will they be another set of zones to add to the pile of hundreds of dead zones in the game, since we're only confined to the newest 4-8 zones of the expansion then on to the next.Just seems like a waste of time and effort.
This is good, and the type of evergreen care the world needs. The rest of the world needs to evolve as story beats happen in the "main expansion continent". Personally, I always hated when the portal-police came in and repeatedly focused all the travel hub stuff into the faction capitals. It's called World of Warcraft, not instance queue of warcraft. What other paths? Kul'Tiras should have a boat to basically everywhere- Let's rebuild Theramore and start with that. Suramar should get tidied up and have a path to Silvermoon, for sure. They're a couple royal decrees away from being one kingdom at this point. Here's one people probably haven't thought of - Tol Dagor to Tol Barad. Prison Transfers."who would use them?" -- The vast majority of people who just enjoy WoW for WoW's sake, and not some ephemeral fart of a dream of esports from their early 20s.I think all the nay-sayers are people who actively want wow to die, honestly. Low IQ takes for sure.
I like the worldbuilding
Looks cool
Such a gorgeous ship design. I love these new additions to the game, which flesh out the world in these small but significant ways and make it feel more alive to players.
If they put a full set of real portals in Gilneas it'll become the new bank alt hub.
This is just a nice rp addition, who cares if it has no actual purpose? Players are just sitting in main hub these days and teleporting between dungeons anyway, is that a reason for open world zones to not exist?
lol this thing was in that "leaked" expansion
I love these boats and others zeppelinIt makes the world way more living and immersive than clicking Instant travel.
