Yogg-Saron's Unique mechanic of Insanity made it just that much better than all the rest. Hearing him tell me my friends are my enemies and my will is not my own drove me to my real insanity. O_O
I enjoyed the Conclave of the Wind the best, because it has a very unique dynamic to it, unlike other "council" type encounters.
No love for Mimiron huh? …well here it goes! His quotes are so fun and you fight a sectioned robot …best part is when he summons V0-L7R-0N …awesome quote!Fighting it in hard mode was even better but really messy. :P

I believe my favorite encounter would have to be Conclave of Wind in Throne of the Four Winds right now. I find that encounter to be imaginative and different from the rest, and although it might not be extremely difficult, I find it to be a pretty unique experience not seen anywhere else. It helps a lot that even the area that the encounter itself is it is amazing, Throne of the Four winds is a very well done instance in terms of how it feels, even the music adds to that feeling.
Ragnaros, my favorite. The lore behind him, the difficulty, the excitement of killing him. Years later, my new mage farming MC for the Thunderfury. A pet created on his image!. And with 4.2 around the corner, the memories will come back(hopefully).
I love the General Vezax fight because as an Arcane Mage I would do double the dps of anyone else in that fight :D
Blue Dragon Eregos in Oculus before any nerfs - the gear for this boss is nothing. Only your hands needed.
I really enjoyed Kil'jaeden, back in Sunwell. It was (and still is, in my opinion) a giant stepping stone for bosses of that caliber. Great lore and the atmosphere for the fight was amazing. Not to mention one of the coolest post-boss kill events ever, with Velen and Lady Liadrin.
Without a doubt it would have to be Lady Vashj in Serpent Shrine Cavern, it took alot of co-ordination back in the day, the sheer excitement whjen that boss hit the deck, oh how ventrilo blew my ears off
Ragnaros. Why? Because it was the end boss of the first raid I ever did. While it was all new and fresh at the time, none of the bosses were truly awe inspiring. Then... then there was Ragnaros. When I saw him pop out of that pool of fire for the first time, I nearly backed into the lava. He was terrifying, huge, and loud, when he first yelled "BY FIRE BE PURGED!" I was panicingly looking around for someone to hide behind. The thought of actually -killing- this monster didn't even cross my mind that first night, I was just trying to drag my eyes away from him long enough to stay alive. There's been many raids since then, some more complicated and with better and more interesting mechanics, but nothing that could compare to this, that first sight of the Lord of the Molten Core.
My favorite encounter has to be Thaddius. I just loved the concept of the electrical charges, and it was so fun!
My first major raid encounter was Malygos in 10m EOE. It was early in my days of playing wow as a more moderate player. I had not experienced much raiding previously, as i had only been a mildly casual player. The server I play on is rather small, and eoe had not been completed very successfully on my server at that time. I managed to pug into a final slot in a top ally guild's last raiding spot. At the time, I wasn't looking for drops, I just wanted to experience the fight.I didn't know the fight at all, and ran in blind(but I didn't let them know that... >.> ) At first I was a bit overwhelmed, the mechanincs were not something I was used to, and there was definately a lot going on. I adjusted pretty quick during the first and second phases, and we brushed through them pretty rough, the second phase I failed miserably, as did the rest of the raid. After regrouping we made a second attempt, but the tank dc'd 10s in >.<;3rd attempt went exceptionally smooth, first and second phases dropped fast, and the third phase went great, until the end... a healer slipped up and dragons started dropping, but we had done our damage and malygos fell with only two drakes alive. As I had been the only hunter in the raid, and none of the guilds members needed it, I recieved a nice Black Ice for my trip.All-in-all, I have to say, that was my favorite encounter, It was very impressive, both visually and gameplay-wise, especially for a raider fresh on the scene. Since then I have done several raid encounters, and nothing has really compared to that encounter.
Limiting myself to the new content, my favorite encounter is probably going to have to be Cho'gall. Not because of the mechanics (which aren't very original), but strictly because CHO'GALL HAS THE MOST FUN DIALOG EVER. Blizz managed to pain Cho'gall as a competent leader, but managed to retain the bickering of a two-headed ogre's heads, brilliant. As far as Wrath goes: Bronjahm's Jam. 'Nuff said.I took a hiatus during BC and wasn't a raider or a fan of instances in Vanilla, so I have no picks there.
