It's basically a summon item for the mini boss. Just make it to the midpoint of the Delve where the respawn stone is and you can use it. the Underpin will show up about 10 seconds later. Smarter to clear out a wide area first and 'then' summon him. The Underpin has a bomb ability that has a massive AoE range.

I looted one of these from a curiosity, and it came with the cooldown activated. Not sure if it is like that when you buy it outright, or a glitch however.

Edit: Since it's been mentioned below, I just wanted to state that I did not encounter the Underpin before receiving the item.

Looted one today from a Delve Tier 6.
When running a Tier 8 later on, our new Nemesis "The Underpin" respawned and after looting a Delver's Bounty map the Wave Scrambler 2000 went on cooldown.

One Time Use, not reusable. Can be bought for Undercoins or found in Mislaid Curios. If you have already gotten the item that gives you a chest at the end of your next delve, you will not get another one from him until the next week.

I bought one, it was one-time use and disappeared after I used it. My buddy has one, used it, and it went on 14h cooldown. IDk.

Found one in a curio (I think) during a T8 Delve, didn't realise I had it until I was in the loot room, seems to not work if the door has already been opened.

Seems you can only use this while the Delve is still active.

> Get to midpoint respawn beacon thingy.
> Clear around (boss has a pretty big AoE bomb).
> Use item.

From my runs today, once I killed the final boss in the Delve, nothing happened. I tried spamming it everywhere, and nothing. Maybe I was doing something wrong.

Edit: My advice to you is to pick your Delve to spawn well! His AoE in Sluice made it nearly impossible without running up/down 10 platforms.
Excavation Site could be perfect. Give yourself a lot of space by kicking his bombs into any corner you won't be in. GL HF.

Works on delve 1. Just stealthed to the stone and used it, in and out in 2 minutes to get my delver's bounty!

As of the time of this message, I recommend not using this in either Tak-Rethan Abyss or The Sinkhole. The Underpin's bombs cannot be kicked away while underwater, making the encounter much more difficult. But considering the underwater delves have been problematic since TWW's release, I doubt anybody is going to want to use this item in either of these delves anyway.

Summons The Underpin who'll drop Delver's Bounty. Mind that the map can be obtained only once per week per character, no matter the source.

You can check whether or not you have already looted a Delver's Bounty if you move up to a Bountiful Delve and have a look at the rewards that shop up in the screen right before you enter the delve. The Delver's Bounty will show as a reward if you are still able to loot one.

This item appears to go on cooldown if The Underpin randomly spawns in your delve, regardless of whether or not you used the item. I was running an alt with this item in my bags and The Underpin spawned randomly. I went to store the item in my bank afterwards and the item had a ~23 hour cooldown.

Seemingly, if you go into a Delve with someone else, and they happen to pop their Delver's Bounty map, this item goes on a 4 hour cooldown. So if you are intent on summoning Underpin with this, make sure nobody else is with you or ask them not to use their own map until after the encounter.

This item is constantly on cooldown for me. When it isn't, it goes on cooldown when I reach a Respawn Point in a delve so I'm never able to actually use it.

I managed to loot two bounty in a week despite what other people have said.

They way I managed it was by running a +8 bountiful and using this item before the boss for the guaranteed bounty, then managed to loot one in a chest.

I've had them go on 24-hour cooldown if Underpin randomly shows. This time I used mine in a bountiful tier 11 nightfall sanctum and it disappeared from use, the other one I had in warbound bank went on like a 30 minute cooldown

I used the item in a Lvl 1 delve after rushing to the respawn point and the "Nemesis" spawned with 11m HP. The fight took less than 10 sec.
He dropped a Delver's Bounty. Easiest and quickest way to get it and that's all I have to say about that.

EDIT: Actually I DO have more to say about that ;)
The best delve to do the above is "Fungal Folly". It is located just south of Dornogal and the respawn point is only a few steps away from the entrance. This is by far the quickest option to get your Delver's Bounty from a Wave Scrambler 2000.

I didn't see this info anywhere and thought I would post in case anyone else was wondering the same thing. I have had one of these in my bags and wasn't sure if another would drop for the toon carrying it, even though there is no "unique" flag on the item. It must have been bad RNG because another just dropped for me today after reset, which stacked the item to quantity 2.

Just go to lvl 1 Skittering Breach - DO NOT click shadow portal. Run all the way to stone. Use item. 1 shot boss. Use Delver's Bounty on your higher level Delve :)

Can you loot more than 1 of these at a time from curiosity in delves? It's not unique but I can't seem to get a second one while one is still in my inventory.

I summoned him in a T11 Mycomancer Cavern and the fight wasnt going well so I invis'd and he ran away. Still dropped his pile of loot with a 639 trinket and a bounty map. I got him to about 60%, but I wonder if i attacked him and just went immediately invis if he would still drop his items?

At first I got at least one of these every week per alt while doing 8 bountiful delves from misplaced curiosities. In the last 2 weeks I have not looted a single one. Is anyone else experiencing this? It seems far too unlikely to blame RNG. I don't know what caused this other than maybe my Brann being level 80 now and not having companion experience in the curiosities?

Edit: Can't make this sh it up... I just looted one 13 minutes after this comment. It's my first in 2 weeks and about 30 delves. I refuse to believe this is RNG, it feels more like a stealth nerf to the rate of finding them.

BE AWARE! LOOT THE GOLD PILE FROM UNDERPIN IMMEDIATELY!

The gold pile can despawn after a fairly short while and your loot/ map will be GONE! (no, not in the mail; GONE).

A few things about this (in patch 11.1) that haven't been mentioned (or are worth mentioning again):
1) costs 2000 coin
2) one item can be used three times with a one hour cool down in between
3) warband transferrable and can be put in bank while still on cool down
4) still can do lvl1 delve quickly kill underpin and grab the prize then go do delve of choice

I don’t know who needs to hear this (me, it’s me, I do), but you can’t use this once you’ve beaten the boss of a delve and your attention span suddenly allows you to remember you have this in your bags. It must be used after the restoration stone but before the boss.

oooo I’m so smart, I’m calling Underpin once the delve hazards are gone! Yeah, yeah…

Does this loot from the boss' corpse or the end of the delve? I thought it dropped at end of delve and didn't loot the boss and then left the delve :(

If you want an easy way to see if you have a map. Download WeakAuras addon and get the aura at this link https://wago.io/seCkY5FRt.

What it provides is an Icon of the Wave Scrambler on the left. The Delver's bounty. has a high chance of dropping a Delver's bounty.
What it provides on the right is a colored icon of a Delver's bounty.

Display the status of your Delver's bounty. for the week.

- If you haven't looted the map yet the WA will have a red border and a red text
- If you have the map in your bags the WA will glow and remind you to use it in a yellow text
- If you have looted the map and not in your bags (most likely having used it)
the WA will have a green border and green text.

Additionally, I added an icon to show if you have any Wave Scrambler-2000s in your bags.

Either they removed this from the vendor or something else is preventing me from buying this from the vendor. What they offer instead is another Restored Coffer Key in it's place.
After talking to a friend, he thinks Brann's level is too low to buy it. Anyone else have that issue?

Since Delver's Bounty are once per week per character, you should check to see if you already used a Delver's Bounty this week before using the Wave Scrambler to summon Underpin.
To check run this script

You cannot use this if:

1. You're not in a delve.
2. You're in combat.
3. You haven't made it to the respawn point closer to the end of the delve.
4. Underpin has already spawned in the delve you're in, even if you didn't get loot from him (like moving too far away from his spawn point and him despawning).
5. You've already killed the last boss.

You CAN use this more than once a week, but you won't get any gear or Delver's Bounty from him (it will just waste the item).

Everyone in your party can get a Delver's bounty and gear from one person using this.

They are sold by a vendor in Dornogol near Brann and can drop from either the last boss in a delve, curios, or some of the chests at the end of a delve.

I'm surprised it's not mentioned anywhere in these comments so far, but you do not need to kill the Underpin in this setting to get the reward!

In fact, he will run away at low health and drop a shiny gold pile so as far as I can tell, you literally cannot kill him in this mode.

Just fight him until he leaves (or you wipe), and profit.

Killing Underpin - Easier Mode: make sure you have everything cleared back to the entrance and drop your Wave Scrambler 2000 in the direction of the boss. Once it drops fall back from the AOE ring. All you have to do is keep dropping back beyond the bombs and whittling away on his HP. You don't have to kill him, just get him down near half and he takes off and leaves his treasure. Remember - NEVER allow yourself to be fighting him amongst the bombs he drops for he will activate them when you are too far in to run out from them! Good hunting!

I was starting to think that titan disc shards being added to the curiosities somehow made this item stop dropping, but it just took ~26 delves opening every one of them for a scrambler to drop. Still just absurdly rare.

Do we have any idea if these will carry over to season 3 delves or if they'll be removed/reset like the coffer keys? I currently have 13 unused ones in my bags, and a lot of extra Undercoins to purchase more if they'll still be worth anything. The text on the item says "Use: Place down the Scrambler, luring the Nemesis to its location." It does say Nemesis and not just Underpin so hopefully they'll stick around.
