So if you don't actually meet the NPCs outside of Gate of the Serpent's Eye, completing the raid doesn't give credit.

Just a heads up unless this doesn't get changed/hotfixed.

The mission is bugged. I finished the raid on Normal difficulty and didn't get credit for the quest.

Got the quest, talked to the correct person in front of the raid, completed the raid TWICE, and it still wouldn't complete. Ugh.

not sure if it's bugged or not. When i first accepted the quest in red within the text it stated "story mode coming soon" can't talk to the NPC outside either. When I went in on normal difficulty it didn't show anywhere on the map the quest like it usually does so not sure if they're holding this back for another week or just bugged

So if you didnt enter the underground through the north entrance and you completed the raid, there is no way to complete it this week
You need to actually use the correct entrance before doing the raid.. 10/10 blizzard

If anyone would bother scroll down the quest text: "Story mode available soon."
If it doesn't give credit for 10! (detail in the quest) ppl raid, that is the bug.

I do not do raids much, forced to do this. Now I have done this campaign quest two times, Now I have to do it 3 times. My last group wiped 5 times om the twins.
Took over 70 minutes of frustration on the second run.

When you have a raid quest, it wants you to beat the last boss, in this case Ula'tek. To do the quest on LFR, you'll have to wait 3 weeks.

Story Mode is coming next week which will let you fight her solo and experience the cutscenes etc., and while you won't get loot, you will finish the raid quest.

I completed the raid quest on my main, but I can't seem to skip and get it through alts.
Anyone has a clue if this is possible for alts?

Would love to know how we unlock this quest on alts, there must be a skip but seems hard to find? If only blizzard could inform the player base with regards to information like this....or better still, just give an option to automatically unlock progress across all chars on your account once you've done on main. I know, hard to do.

The quest turn-in is at Lady Liadrin who is located on the Coiled Isle at
/way 21.70 64.95

This NOT inside the raid, but in the open world and as of today, it can be turned in without completing the two objectives, marked at optional.

I just did the 2 bosses that were released this week, and did the 2 last week and the quest still isnt complete?

If you are doing this on story mode, it is currently very buggy. You will need to keep the button toggled for you to lead the followers since they don't know where to go. Continue forward (the only way to go) and kill trash in the winding hallway until you are able to reach the coiled alter platform. I can't recall if the miniboss is here or after the first boss, but he will prevent you from going forward either way, so keep that in mind. The map is a bit confusing and does not help navigate here.

The followers do not do mechanics on this fight, but mainly you run over the green glowy orbs and stand in the center of the platform until they drop and repeat. When the frontal is aimed at you, you want to try to hit the orbs. If you have a ghost chasing you, face it to freeze it in place. It will need to be hit with the frontal as well, but as currently designed, that may not be easy to do, just do your best to face it so it does not keep knocking you back. Don't stand in the purple pools for long, and move away from the NPCs when they get a gloombomb (big green ring), as they don't move out.

After the first fight, continue forward. Click one of the drums on either the side of the platform of the large atrium. Jump down from the center ledge into the poison pool and swim forward to the lower platform. Make sure you have the extra action button toggled for you to lead. If the NPCs are on lead, they won't join you. The final boss will spawn here.

The followers ping where to stand on this fight and are much better at mechanics. Mainly focus on killing the eggs (the NPCs won't help you on these) and adds when they spawn, focus the heart when it's available to hit, stand in the soaks, dodge the poison waves from the front left and right and side of the platform. When he crashes into the center you can jump over the quadrant cracks to attack the eggs that spawn there.

Hopefully they fix the frustrating parts of this story mode by the time you are reading this, but if not, I hope this helped you.

This is ridiculous.. spent 21 minutes and my team wiped ( I didn't wipe, the other 4 followers did though) . Fix this Blizz

If you are like me & struggling to find where to hand in
For some crazy reason story mode gives you a port to Harandar-this is NOT where the quest is handed in.
The Hand in is located on The Coiled Isles at the far end of The Forum

I was at Silvermoon wondering how to get to the Coild Isles. I followed the waypoint (optional) quest tracker taking the portal K'aresh then To Dornogal then to Orgrimmar then it pointed back to Silvermoon.. what the actual flying fumbobo was that? I managed to get there auto flying and hearthed there. I have dalaran hearthstone & Arcantina to travel back to Silvermoon. Until I finish the Prey intro quests so I can get a portal to the Coild Isles located at Astalors Sanctum. Still can't play this game using my two brain cells without Googling stuff.

For all of you who wiped countless times on story mode: It seems to have been fixed now. Just let your tanks lead and have your battleress ready :)

Aaaaaannd..... screw this in story mode several times over. As has been noted, not everyone raids and it is part of the campaign. Either.... 1) adjust to tank -n- spank OR 2) put an iLevel floor.

Precisely zero effs given if loot not available, just lemme finish the ^%@#$! story please.

Tried Zul'jan few times in story mode and wiped at around 5-10% each time. Silly that Blizzard forces people to do raids.

For Zu'jan you have to be holding a green orb to do damage but the NPCs will not pick up the orbs so you have to do all the damage.

Big summary:

1. Go into the temple. Mount up, you get super speed.
2. Walk all the way through the temple for some reason.
3. At the entrance to the raid talk to the dude at the front to go into story mode.
4. First fight, get the orb, shoot the boss. Repeat for about half an hour for some reason because I guess this is what Bliz considers fun.
5. Go into the next chamber and wait 45 seconds while your toon beats on the drum for whatever reason.
6. Last boss, kill adds and shoot the boss repeatedly first stage. Stay in the middle of the platform and go left or right depending on where the split in the Caustic Wave comes up.
7. Next stage, kill adds and shoot the boss repeatedly while going around in a circle between the platforms. Keep doing this for another half hour.

Congratulations, you've just spent an hour and a half on getting no rewards.

Go through the portal, then go through the portal again. Congrats, you're back in Silvermoon for some reason and half to fly all the way back to Zul'aman to turn in the quest.

Spend ten seconds completing the quest then fly all the way back to Silvermoon.

It's like Bliz had out a checklist of all the stupidest raid memes and just checked them off one at a time.

Have to agree, this one is BS. Did the first fight, got wiped (in story mode) but brought back to life (thankfully). Finished the whole thing with no rewards of any kind. But the real kicker is at the end, you get 2 choices, first to go check on so n so, and I did. There's nothing there. (Found out later, there was supposed to be a dagger?) Couldn't see a way out of it, so I hearthed and of course, didn't get credit or completion. Went back. Same thing. Died once. This time I chose the portal which took me to Harandar and there's no damn thing there, so I came here to wowhead and someone gave instructions that you then go through the Eversong portal in front of you, and then FLY back to the turn in point, on Coiled Isles at the very edge. WHAT A WASTE OF TIME! And let me just say this: I HATE TO RAID! HATE IT! So stop forcing me to RAID! Stop making it part of the story line just to complete the story line. Put it on the side, and let those who LOVE it do it. Stop making me RAID to get housing decor. There should be two sides to playing WoW.... the hard side, tough, challenging stuff, and the "fluff" for those of us who like housing.

Congrats to those that actually finished in story mode. I thought oh this should be relatively easy going. it was worse than my worse LFR experience, we wiped 3 times. each time we get down to just Zul'jan and the phase with the pools come out, the followers die including the tank, so it was my warlock and Zul'jan. not to mention I spent most of the fight running around because I was being chased. A waste of time today.

Description

I saw things in de venom haze. Heard Zul'jan screamin', felt what's eatin' away at him. Heard Malacrass whisperin' in his ear. Ula'tek has haunted de Amani from de beginning. De lengths we went to for power and empire, and de blood it cost... Dat wasn't greatness. Deep down, Zul'jan knows it too. Malacrass stole my grandfather from me. I won't let him take Zul'jan too.
