Rocko is a Legendary quality Pet Boss in Higmountain. I found him in Lifespring Cavern, in the same room as Gelmogg is. I found him at 4pm (gametime) and at 5pm. But I'm not sure he appears in certain time or just triggering the World Quest: Rocko needs a shave.
He got a buff: "Crumble", a 10 round Ability that grant "immunity" for 10 round, until it crumbles apart and dies.

Probably the easiest pet fight from all the new World Quests.
All you need to do is endure the mild AOE damage he does for 10 rounds. He will then die completely by himself.

Any pet that can heal itself or deflect some damage do this. For example:

Any rabbit (Dodge + Burrow)
Any Crab (Shell Shield + Heal)
Anubisath Idol (Sandstorm + Deflect)
Teroclaw Hatchling (Dodge + Heal)
Sunflower / Blossoming Ancient (Sunshine + Heal)
etc. etc.

Rocko is a legendary pet encounter found in a cave in Highmountain. He's only available to fight when his world quest, Rocko Needs a Shave, is available. His cave entrance is visible on the map just south of Rocko's location. This is a unique fight in that you don't actually have to do any damage to Rocko, but rather bide your time and survive for ten rounds to win. Because he's Legendary, the experience gain from this fight isn't worth leveling pets on.

To beat Rocko, I used a Black Lamb (Soothe/Bleat) and a Spring Rabbit for backup (Dodge/Burrow). Any three critters should do fine, with stalling, healing and avoidance moves being valuable picks. Lambs, fawns, and rabbits are all strong. My Black Lamb was able to easily solo this encounter.

Starting with my Black Lamb, I used Soothe, then Bleat, then passed the round. Keep passing (or attacking if you like, but he'll block the damage) until those two moves come off cooldown and rinse/repeat. Rocko should crumble well before cleaving down your team.

scooter the snail, or any snail i guess, is great, with lesser dmg taken from elementals as a critter + shell shield and dive

Follow the way in the cave to the upper zone, Rocko stands at 59.55 43.86.

He dies within 10 rounds and is immune against damage (Crumble), so just block his damage done or use heal.

Singing Sunflower (x, 1, 2) or Blossoming Ancient (2, 2, 2) with Photosynthesis and Sunlight
The Ancient can use Ironbark instead of passing, if you prefer safe mode.

1) Sunlight

3-7) 5x pass
8) Photosynthesis
9+10) 2x pass
- Rocko is dead

Red Cricket or any of this kind will do the trick. Resists to elemental damage + can resiste one attack every 3 turns + can heal the party

I used Little Fawn Rare ?/1/1 H/B.

Spammed (1)Bleat and (1)Tranquility. Finished 10 rounds later around half health.

I used a lvl 24 Grizzly Squirrel. Rocko's attacks are weak against it and I used the "Crouch" ability every time it was available meaning the already weak attacks were that must weaker. This made it easy to last the 10 rounds.

1) Start with Harmonious Porcupette and use Celestial Blessing

2) Swap in Emerald Whelpling use Emerald Presence then Emerald Dream

Rocko Needs a Shave is randomly available in Highmountain (cave entrance*: 38.40, 61.38, within cave**:60.87, 43.95) and only visible if you've unlocked World Quests. Rewards will vary.
- Quick Note: Rocko is NOT a part of Family Familiar.

Rocko is a level 25 legendary with:

Pound
Passive buff: Crumbling

This fight is not one of damage, but of survival. After 10 rounds, Rocko dies. During those 10 rounds, he is doing a constant AOE to your team and is immune to incoming damage.

I decided to try a trio of crickets, example: Red Cricket (?,2,2).

The key usefulness for any strat used in this fight is to have as many abilities as possible that stop, avoid, or heal the incoming damage. Stack your team with 3. Other options:

Aranesh has already made a fairly comprehensive list of examples of pets that will fulfill the survival requirements (link).
HazelNutty's comment introduces the idea of stunning the opponent to help reduce incoming damage.
Genevra points out that this is a great fight for your Elekk Plushie's 2163-2538 HP to shine - <3 Elekk Plushie.

*Some users have reported trouble finding this tamer. Take the Sylvan Falls flightpath in Highmountain and follow the stream to the right until you enter the cave that is on the map.
**Go right at the first puddle, left at the stairs in the second puddle, left at the 3rd puddle and then immediately hug the wall to follow it up and to the right (no puddle, just mushrooms). At the top of that ramp you head mostly straight (puddle on right, Gelmogg on the left, Rocko in the alcove in front of you).

The top of this page states that Rocko has no stats, which is obviously incorrect. Rocko's stats are:

HP: 1645
Power: 240
Speed: 300

Easily soloable with Puddle Terror. Start with Nature's Ward and keep it up using Dive whenever it's up.

Okay found easiest and fastest way to deal with him and kill in 4 rounds.
You need only 2 pets - Unborn Val'kyr and Zandalari Anklerender
Start battle with Val'kyr use Doom and Unholy Ascension then you switch for Anklerender use Black Claw and Hunting Party.
easy win.

If you are doing the 7.1 hatchling pet quests where you need one to be present in a fight just use two other pets that have Cleansing Rain such as the various striders. Those one cleansing rain should be enough assuming you started with the hatchling for one round and he doesn't crit.

Wooohooo! Finally get to use my Pygmy Cow!

The name of the game here is not damage, it is simply surviving the AOE from Rocko until he Crumbles and dies. Since Pygmy Cow is a Critter he is tough versus Elementals.

(Why is a cow a critter? Add to list of questions for next Blizzcon.)

Start with Where's the Beef, then Chew, then
Mother's Milk, then pass, then repeat until you win.

Since Mother's Milk heals your backline pets, you could use this to get experience to some carry pets, just swap them in for a round when you would otherwise need to pass above.

Rocko's only ability Pound does a fair amount of damage to the back line, so you would only be able to use relatively high level carry pets. If those carry pets are also critters, they will be able to be a bit lower level. Not sure how much exp this gives though.

His quest is up again so i tried two level 11 critter pets to see what kind of exp they would get. Swapping them in and then out once each when Pygmy Cow's Mother's Milk was on cool down allowed them to survive till Rocko died. But just barely. Level 10 or non-critter wouldn't have survived. However, they only received 208exp (with safari hat on) each so not really worth the hassle. Just stick two random lvl 25 in the back line instead imho.

I was able to complete this with just my Anubisath Idol defection ability. If you are just like me and don't have a decent variety of pets, taking 1 pet with deflection, heal, dodge or parry abilities is a go as long as all the other pets have around 1.5k hp or over.

Found a strat by accident. Put a Silkbed Snail and 2 other "dodge" pets up. Forgot the others were still dead.. The Snail soloed Rocko with 40% hp left as it was strong against him.

For Bloodgazer Team Rumble

I used Feline Familiar with Call Darkness (though I'm not sure it did any good) and Summit Kid with Soothe which did put Rocko to sleep.

I started with Feline Familiar Call Darkness then switched to Summit Kid Soothe pass and switched back to Feline Familiar Call Darkness then after it died to Summit Kid which died before I could get another Soothe off and then to Bloodgazer Hatchling and hit pass till he Rocko died.

Voila!

Strategy : Use 3 Critters with health breed (HH, HP, HB). I run with 3 snails at level 25. At least have snail in main slot. Dive on CD for avoidance, otherwise spam Shell Shield. Absorb will NOT heal your pet. Rocko's attack, Pound, is weak versus critters. It will bring all pets to half health. Win.

You might need the 300+ speed, I don't know, but everyone should be swimming in 300+ speed rabbits anyway.

I was trying to do this while on the hatching quest, complete pet battle word quest with sharptalon hatching and 2 magic pets, so was limited on witch pets I could bring. All you really have to do is last 9 rounds, I thought of the the level 25 elk plushy that has a lot of heath and can take hits. He lasted for about 7 rounds before being killed. I instead tried again using a different pet first, I used a minfernal but any with a damage mitigating ability and a decent amount of heath should work. I just pop'd shield that gave me 50% reduced damage and then pass until its off cd, minfernal lasted 8 rounds before I switched to elk plushy who was not taking as much damage on back row and had plenty of health, almost half and easily took hit on last round.

If you want to speed up the fight use this.
One pet with Sunlight and two pets with many HP and Explode.
My team is Terrible Turnip and two Crimson Spore.

Tactic:
Step 1 - Start with Terrible Turnip and use Sunlight
Step 2 - Switch to Crimson Spore and use Explode
Step 3 - Repeat step 2
Step 4 - Profit^^

Considering you just have to keep your pets alive for 10 rounds, it's all about the healers. Burrow and Deflect works well too.

Here's a team with easy to acquire pets.

Gleaming Fawn (lvl 25 rare) 1,1,1
Rabbit (lvl 25 rare) 1,2,1
any pet

I haven't even needed to use anything but Gleaming Fawn so far.

Looks like he became broken recently, he isn't immune to damage anymore as of right now, I was able to kill him with my abilities normally.

Hey Guys! I tried making a series of waypoints for TomTom to get people to Rokko, But It was kinda trikcy to get it right with the cave interior But I'd thought I'd throw down what I had in a hope that it would be a help to somebody.

Used 3 Ik@#$ (BC, F). Hits the backline, so my other 2 Ik^&* had 1/2 health by the end. But, I soloed with one Ikky. Even with RNG, 3 Ik%^& ought to do it, if you are just looking for a quick win.

Probably the easiest pet battle; Only used Dream Whelping's Emerald Presence and Healing flame, used Gleamhoof Fawns Tranquility and Bleat, then used Will of Remornias Soul steal.

Dream whelping is from the ending of the Emerald Nightmare raid after you defeat xavius and get ported to the emerald dream, Gleamhoof fawn is from Val'sharah, and Will of Remornia is from Denathrius in Castle Nathria. Remornia isn't 100% necessary but there's gonna be a point where you need to swap out your healers and need a pet to tank a hit. Other than that the Dream whelp managed to last for a majority of the rounds.

its a little dumb but if u use a spell like Nevermore ( on this case i am using archivist quill) u can cc him for 5 rounds cus he cant cast other thing than his unique spell then u need to survive 3 rounds which with any healer ( on this case i am using dream whelping)u can survive the rounds remaining and it explotes alone when the time is finish. ( also u can use a pet to sleep him or any spell similar that u evade spells like burrow or any type of dodge....kinda easy when u know that u only NEED TO SURVIVE haha)
