I've seen 12-16x Sandworn Relic drop for the attacking players (currency for iLvl 246 catch-up & Broker transmogg gear from Rafiq). Also got 9x Anima Webbing and 188x Cyphers of the First Ones (Kill & WQ combined I guess) in

Attention! Right now only 5 players in a raid (I guess Group 1) will correctly tag the boss and be eligible for loot, completing WQ, etc. Consider leaving bigger groups and support them from outside the raid, if he's tagged for you then.

I've seen 9-18x Sandworn Relic drop for the attacking players, Alpaca Soul and gear like (obviously not finalized). The WQ for killing Antros rewarded 80x Cyphers of the First Ones (without 50% bonus) & 200 reputation with The Enlightened.

(As of March 1st 2022) Pulling completely wrecks the server, full second lag and chat delay across all of ZM. And, the real kicker, killing him doesn't complete the quest. Hopefully just standard Day-1 over saturation issue and not an actual bug.

Just killed him tonight. But I died before the group killed him, and it didn't give me credit. Not sure if it's bugged or what.

As a toon new to Zerith Mortis, if you have gotten to Haven, then you can run up and take the portal over to Antros and take a shot at him.

I can't see him . Guess I have to open up World Quests for the area. No, not so. Next toon can see him. :P
Might have something to do if you skip intro-quests or not. (Ok, when I use the skip I see the World boss-quest).

Conclusion: If you, with your alt, have chosen NOT to skip intro-quests - then you need to do the Campaign until you have opened World Quest (finish 3rd chapter).
Hint: To still find the World Boss-queue - click Group Finder, Premade Groups, Raid Shadowlands.

This is a piece of cake fight if you're range, just don't stand in stuff.

But if you're melee you have to worry about Banishment Mark which killed me twice. If you get it you need to stand away from others (good luck with that in these groups) PLUS it also damages you which the description doesn't indicate. So if you aren't getting good heals (which lets face it, you don't in these groups), you're dead.

I'm guessing this is yet another bug, but who knows if it will get fixed.

Is it me or...no one is getting real loot? aka gear.
For killing it 6 times with alts, I've seen one person in my full raid group got lucky at the lottery...

The chance of getting items from this guy is horrendous, I've killed him 18 times over 2 lockouts and received 0 pieces of loot...
If you look at the dropchance of epics it's ~1-2%, either it's bugged or it's the worst design ever...

To start this World Boss you need to kill at first Sav'thul after that kill Sav'thul. Do it in Raid and watch out for everything on the ground He can kill with one shot.

I have 21 Alts at level 60 and have been doing kills on fresh toons and I am not getting any reputation or loot from the boss. Is this happening to anyone else?

Killing Antros grants 20% progress for the Patterns Within Patterns weekly quest. Be sure to pick it up before heading over there.

Don't know why people are complaining about not getting loot, this has been a thing since world bosses were a thing.

What I want to know is why I've been sitting here for ten minutes and there isn't a single group for him.

If you die, unless you are positive you have a minute to finish the corpse run back, don't even release. It sucks, but there is a built-in mechanism that promotes bad play... if you release and the boss dies while you're out of a certain (fairly small) range, you will get to loot the boss, but you will not get credit for any related World Quest.

Like I said, i hate to make this suggestion, but it's a bad aspect of the game design that creates a motivation to just sit in your corpse and stop contributing after a death... if you try harder, try to do right by your group by releasing and running back to keep DPS'ing or whatever, the game punishes that. And it is such a weird little thing, that I wouldn't expect a fix, either.

Fun fact, the 259 loot from this boss can be converted to tier on the creation catalyst. (example Sav'thul's Calamitous Tantour Great for getting alts 4 set.

There is a bug where, when you kill Antros, the world quest will say 1/1 killed but it won't complete.

It's because it requires you to see the accompanying mob with him alive (Sav'thul).

Just hang around and wait for it to respawn, and as soon as Sav'thul respawns, the world quest will complete and give you the rewards.

Nobody has mentioned that when he drops the massive black spheres, which send out the dark stains on the ground, players who have finished (some part of the cypher system) can run over and click the spheres. This will turn the sphere and stain white so they don't damage anyone anymore -- it also gives a 15% damage buff to anyone standing in the white area.

After the last patch I received a 285 ilevel drop on several toons. I thought maybe they upped his loot on purpose even though it wasn't mentioned in patch notes.

However the next week when I killed him I got 259 loot again. So I'm guessing this was yet another bug...

Soloable as an arms warrior ilvl 386, however it is a bit luck dependent. When he starts with the Furious Blows pattern, try to get as much distance between you and him as possible (without resetting him) to get the debuff stacks to expire.

Dragonflight (and beyond) - Solo'd him today with level 70 BM Hunter ilvl 413. I'm not terribly skilled but obvs have movement and pet.

Nearly died towards the end of fight with stack of 6 debuff, but was saved by Night Fae Soulbind Dreamweaver 'Podtender' (very top of Dreamweaver's Soulbind tree), that I'd completely forgotten about, which auto 'bubbled' me and healed me just enough. Will plan better with pots etc next time.

Useful to solo for the 750 Enlightened rep if you're still chasing it.

Killed him today and the world quest disappeared as though I completed it but I didn't get anything from it - no weekly quest progress, no anima, no cyphers, no rep, nothing.

I flew to his place. Map mark was up, but it wasn't there.
I then used the teleporter there and back.
Afterwards it was in place.

Buggy, likely won't complete the WQ first try. I have reported this but probably won't see a fix for years (if ever.)

wait until he respawns has worked once for me.
another trick is going into dungeon queue (follower) and then leaving once yer in the dungeon. this might also trick the game intro working properly.

because tricking the game to work properly should be the %^&*ing tagline for this game.

Overview – Antros is an enormous construct that uses its size and strength to safeguard the secrets of Antecedent Isle. The ancient automa will bring [Destuction Core] crashing around it, inflicting heavy damage to those caught in the impact zones and desecrating the area around them. Antros will periodically afflict all players with [Controlled Calamity] , and lay waste to any targets caught inside its [Furious Slam].
- Tanks –
  [Dark Deterrence] inflicts increasing Shadow damage each time [Deterrence Strike] is cast.
  [Furious Slam] inflicts heavy Shadow damage to players in front of Antros.
  [Destruction Cores] inflict heavy Shadow damage to players near them.
- Damage Dealers –
  [Furious Slam] inflicts heavy Shadow damage to players in front of Antros.

Destruction Cores – Antros manifests a sequence of Destruction Cores around it.
The Destruction Core inflicts 5 Physical damage to all players upon impact.
The Destruction Core crushes players beneath it, inflicting 500 Physical damage to all players within 7 of its impact location.
- Destruction Zone – Inflicts 15 Shadow damage every 1 seconds to all players within 18 yards.
- Cosmic Empowerment – Use the cypher knowledge of Trebalim Understanding to cleanse a Destruction Core, creating an empowered area. Standing in the empowered area increases damage done by 15%.
Banishment Mark – Antros marks up to 5 targets for Banishment, inflicting 9 Shadow damage to players within 5 yards of the marked players every 1 seconds for 20 sec.
Deterrent Strike – Antros inflicts 30 Physical damage to its' target and applying Dark Deterrence.
