I knew it would be bad, yet I still went in with hope that their would be a twist or something. The primus was using the jailor all along! Something. Anything else.../golfclap.
This was the most disappointing ending we could have possibly gotten.I was honestly okay with the Sylvanas stuff but everything else with the Jailer seems like a waste. There seems to be so much stuff they didn't really finish.
"You preserve that which is doomed" = WoW lore and the game itself is that which is doomed."what is to come" = Even worse writing in the next expansion. You see they are meming on themselves as a joke and most people don't even get it. There's no need to try to understand the "master plan" because they are just making it up as they go along and that's why it's kept so vague -- to allow the most room to maneuver and bull%^&* later on.
Hey, Blizzard, your rapidly diminishing budget and workforce is showing.
They hinted in legion , bfa, and in SL. We have been working around the chart and experiencing different bits of each. With the Old Gods defeated / freed of physical form, the light rampaging in Draenor , Elements still in chaos (bfa lore), the serpent talked about might be what is coming.Everything fears it , even the old gods. If anything , it might be a return of the dragons and maybe galakrond ( bad guy) to fight that joker.
Absolutely the worst narrative ever delivered in the Warcraft universe. Absolutely abysmal writing.
They literally rewrote the most important story around Warcraft 3, letting us see that the jailer is the hidden hand behind the burning legion and the legacy of Arthas.Being someone who has a lot of power and intelligence; so that we just come and kill him without further ado.Not forgetting how they destroyed the essence of Sylvannas. My 5-year-old cousin writes better stories than the one who directed the story for this expansion. The only solution to this mess with history is to wake up in Ny'alotha, knowing that all this time we've been dreaming.
I blame Star Wars...oh look!...yet another deathstar...womp womp
"can no one in this universe speak direct sentences?" Great observation; made me chuckle.
Jesus Christ... one of the worst cinematic I've ever saw. Really "nice work" Blizzard.
It's the arbiter's job to sort souls out when they die.Zovaal was the original arbiter. He foresees some sort of doom for everything."I'm not sorting every single soul in existence. That's too much work."Gets himself fired as arbiter.Plans to destroy everything while he's not the arbiter so someone else can do all that sorting.
I've dropped my 15-year streak in wow soon after Sh-lands anounce and Nzoth patch. Honestly tried to follow up on lore and story... And oh well. It was getting worse and worse since Legion and there's no reason for it to get better in future. To all those who hope there's another hidden ending. Remember early BFA where with so many theories around who and why burned Teldrassil? Hopes that there will be a 200 iq turn which will make BFA story actually interesting and good? Remember how it ended in the most obvious and awful way possible? That's where I've let go of my hopes the lore will get any better. Hopes that vague cliffhangers and set ups will bring a smart and sarisfying payoff were gone too.Well... At least there are other MMOs wth decent storytelling out there. That new Guild wars 2 expansion is nowhere close to this nonsence.
Zovaal, beaten and about to die, is just plain delusional and lies about some bigger threat in order to justify the ^&*! he has done. That's the only way to save this storyline.
so we can get rid of a looming planet, we can get rid of another dimension in the sky, but we can't get rid of a sword in Azeroth?
Worst ending in the history of WoW. An embarrassment to the company.
BfA: I'll have the worst narrative ever from a WoW expansion.Shadowlands: Hold my beer.
Now I see why a lot of people are playing Classic more than retail. It's always like 4 patches with raid content then some big threat in the next expansion. Need to come up with another formula.
