Wow, you all are a bunch of entitled whiners. This pull the ripcord crap is too much. I for one think this is a bit too easy, but if if makes it to live then I think it's a fair compromise

Should take much longer but as long as it's not instant, zero cost like talents and specs then should be fine I guess. Actually pathetic that anyone could want it easier than this.
So, you leave your Covenant and have all your progress saved forever. Then two days later you go back and pick up where you left off?I think this means that anyone wanting to swap out after X,Y or Z is nerfed/buffed, means anyone can swap with ease. However, since it's not a single click of a button, lazy people won't bother with it.:pFine with it.
Let's be hones covenant system looked good on paper. Then developement came, first release of the features and the feedback was bad. Though it was already too late to change it, so we will have to stick with it for the next 2 years like with azerite gear or legion legendaries. Soon they will give us some more systems, so bad impact of being in wrong covenant for content you are actually doing will be lessened. But it's patch 9.2 maybe even 9.3 like in BfA or Legion. It's sad they said they want to create systems which will last through the entire expansion, which will be expanded not layered under other systems, and everything they doing is copy-pasting same mistakes as ever. Damn, that's sad :/Current version of essences isn't bad. Why not just use it for covenant skills? Or give the same skill, but with different color fitting to the chosen covenant, so each faction has same 4 skills for each class, but with a bit animation variation.Nah, better create problems in X.0 then fix it partialy in X.1 and finnaly in X.3 fix it to the state of playability and announce it as a great success in the meantime while convincing everybody that community loves that mechanic, because it's super fun (ps: no it isn't, and Blizzard knows it).
They will "pull the ripcord", I have no doubt whatsoever. The MDI and World First players will cry(and it IS crying) long enough and loud enough to get the rest of the player base to parrot what they're saying. Then*BOOM*the top 5% get their way.I'm all for player agency, but what I'm seeing now is people throwing tantrums because they think they won't be the best at everything all the time. Good players will adapt to the system AND overcome any drawbacks. While the poor players will stomp their feet screaming "THAT'S NOT FAIR! I WANT IT ALLL!"
I like how you all complain here instead of on blizzards actual forums as i dont think blizzard reads the comments on a fan site lol
1) How is this fun?2) Get your head out of your ass creating this narrative of the 1%. It's just delusional. This affect so much more people you clearly just don't see it
