I think this mount would be amazing of not only was it a group mount, but if it accepted movement control from everyone in the Hivemind and averaged out the controls across all players so that you have to all work as one to move it...

this thing is ridiculous I love it X3 It scales with the amount of people in it and no set amount of seats so far, makes me want to set up a raid team and fly the damn thing into stormwind dismount it and suddenly a ton of people appear

How movement speed for this mount works:

Unido à Mente Coletiva - Effect #3 Apply Aura: Mod Mounted Speed % Value: 10% - joining the main Hivemind mount increases your mounted speed by an additional 10%
Effect #4 Apply Aura: Incerase Mounted Speed % - Stacks Value: 10% - Each person that joins to the mount increases the speed by 10%, and this mounted speed buff keeps stacking.

About the model:
When Blizzard first put this mount in BFA Beta, it was set to be the same model as the Yogg-Saron's brain.
Then later Blizzard has changed it to the same model as the Habitante das Profundezas mount.
Yogg-Saron's brain might be a placeholder too. So there is a chance that Hivemind is not related to Yogg-Saron or his brain.
The actual mount record appears to have been removed in the current BFA, but this item A Mente Coletiva and the spells A Mente Coletiva, Unido à Mente Coletiva still exist in game.(##RESPBREAK##)258##DELIM##htam##DELIM##

A Mente Coletiva BFA Secret treasure hunt / paper chase:

Background Story
Developer Muffinus confirmed on twitter that "A Mente Coletiva mount was actually a placeholder during beta". This started the search for clues.
Trivia: "Hivemind" is most likely a hat tip towards secret finding community (see links at the end), because they work like a hivemind to pool information.
There seem to be multiple secret paths this time which also interact with older secrets, there are lots on anagrams to solve.
Some parts are solved by chance or just coincidence, some are brute forced by collectively searching, some are solved by checking the cache files for new game objects.
During the first week of BFA Serpente Sanguínea de Nazjatar was found and also a number of hidden caves, similar to the Kosumoth, o Faminto cave secret from Legion.
21.08.2018 The Bilhete Suspeito was found in Zundalar and pebbles in the previously found caves became clickable. Pebbles led on day later to Símbolo Sombrio de Baphofinho.
24.08.2018 a new interactable Orbe Aceso was found, only clickable if you unlocked Símbolo Sombrio de Baphofinho. After following through 20+ steps and traveling through all continents for ~5 hours you are rewarded with Cinto pelo Tempo Perdido. The belt has a spell effect and a countdown for idle time.

This article originally had all the steps, but due to character limitation of 7500 I edited this to be an overview .
Additionally the individual secret are stupendously long.

Do NOT tie The Hivemind to previous secrets please blizz. I repeat do NOT. As much as i respect people who wish to waste their time on the pet and the waist, most of us only care about mounts. Let it shine on its very own separate glory since its going to be the biggest secret.

The secret steps to acquire this mount were finally solved and completed on December 16th, 2018! Through the tremendous work put in by the WoW Secret Finding Community, all the steps have been mapped out and transcribed into this guide for those who want to obtain it for themselves.

The mount itself has a unique mechanic, allowing the player to transform into it, similar to the Frasco das Areias and Coração da Noturnala. The player can then carry only the players grouped with you when you last completed the Hivemind ritual. Each player adds a 10% movement-speed increase to the mount. (Source: Celestalon Tweet).

Big thank you to all involved in the hunt, and congrats to those who have been able to earn their very own "mind-melting" mount!

So, after a quick series of tests, here is what I found :
-If you can't enter someone's hivemind, he can't enter yours ;
-Only people you did the puzzle with can enter your hivemind ;
-The previous apply to characters, not accounts (e.g. : you did the puzzle with your friend's main, then want to enter his alt's hivemind : you can't) ;
-You can remake the puzzle to change your binding. The previous group you made it with won't be able to interact with your hivemind anymore. (sorry to the guy we left with no hivemind binding, but that sixth friend couldn't be left alone, you know :,( ).

Please comment/upvote/downvote if you find different results and/or want to add something I missed out.

So after you pugged the final part it is basically useless as you can't carry other (party) people .. just another solo mount then.
And it is account wide and can't carry friends unless you did it with them. Do I have to do it with my alts as well then? Or does that overwrite the account wide part...

As with Frasco das Areias, you can change the color of A Mente Coletiva by using some items:
Patuá da Porta da Morte for a "ghostly" white appearance
Forma Espectral for a transparent "ghostly" appearance
Geada do Marinheiro Perdido no Tempo for a translucent pink coloration
Juramento do Vigilante do Fogo for a translucent "salmon" coloration
Grimório Sangra-coração for a "purplish"-blue coloration
Pedra de Vínculo de Kang for a gray coloration... ("Gray Matter" indeed!)
Combine Grimório Sangra-coração (first) and Pedra de Vínculo de Kang (second) for a dark gray coloration.
Jogo de Chá Enfeitiçante for a bluish coloration (be sure to "drink" from the tea set for a minimum of 10 seconds to obtain the color change on your character).

*NEW* to 8.2 and this post:
The island of Mechagon has provided 3 new color variations with Junkyard Tinkering and "Spraybots".
Roborrifador Laranja, Roborrifador Verde and Roborrifador Azul!

This mount can carry 4 passengers, yet an passenger UI element is missing.
I've created an addon that does this: HivemindMount

Edit: Rewrote addon to not override Blizzard functions. Texture used is now a Ulduar tank.

I’ve seen questions about how the Hivemind mount works. The multi-person capability is a special perk just for your established Hivemind group (the 5 people you last completed it with). If you want to link with different people, you can! Just complete it again with a new group.

Only the 4 other member of your group that did the ritual to summon the mount can mount with you:

If you want to link it with other 4 people you have to do the ritual again. It will erase your previous links and create the new ones.

One funny thing I've noticed about this mount is that if you use a pvp flag toy such as Prestigious Pennant, it will appear directly on top of the mount. With a 5 man group inside, it feels like a flying fortress lol.

i wonder how many premade pvp teams will work at this considering only the people you work with will get it? Also how long before “fun” is detected because that speed boost sounds like it will be crazy for BG’s or even old school world ganking and questing. Here’s hoping they can fix the alt issue as I do like multi passenger mounts

And now tell me why it needs to be linked to your mates, you made it with, instead of being able to use it simply with others. I thought alot about all sorts of situations, why one of these 2 bonuses could come handy and even being so op, that only the group you made it with, has the right to benefit of it.

First thing is: You shouldn't be able to use it in dungeons, raids, bgs or anything else, where it could be more usefull than any other usual mount. (Even other passenger mounts aren't helpful there, so the Hivemind shouldn't be an exception.)

Second thing: In the usuall open world envirement, this mount won't give you special oppurtunities to be so helpful, that you will need it so badly that it could even become "mandatory". Even if I think about situations in WM, I can't think of anything that would make it a must have or just a good thing to have. (Beside of being a good "taxi" for people that can't fly yet, or just being lazy.)
With the speed buff you could probably flee a little easier than usuall, but only when you got 4 other people with you. I know that you might could get ganked a little easier there, if you'd be the one getting attacked and you are alone in yours. But everyone knows that WM isn't much fun if you are alone anyways. (I just want to say, that you probably getting attacked anyways, whether having it or not, especially when you are alone. xD)

If you see any more situations, where this mount could be more than just a more useful kind of "taxi" than other passenger mounts, then please share that opinion with me/us.

(And sorry for possible mistakes while writing it. It's a foreign language to me.)

This mount can be obtained by a level 110 character that has not unlocked BFA content. In my experience rest of the party was level 120. As a level 110 player, I was on duty of nuking down a withered. I cannot tell whether a level 110 player can go through the barrier or click the orb behind pillows. But I can tell, that player can get a monocle, beat the color related withered, enter the instance and go through the whole puzzles with other players.

It is worth the utility alone to get this mount. It easily allows you to enter small spaces and jump over large obstacles. It also appears, in my opinion, to somewhat lessen fall damage or negate it entirely in smaller falls. I real pleasure to use this mount as it "handles" like a nice car.

So I discovered something probably unintentional yet funny with this mount and a battle pet. It's basically harmless fun, which means that Blizzard might nerf it.

If you obtain the battle-pet known as 'Voidwiggler,' from the Arathi warfront rare Darbel Montrose (sorry, don't know how to put these as links or I would,) summon him while you're running on the ground.

Because Voidwiggler has a 'unique' summon animation, you will use the casting animation for the Hivemind, which is where you sink into the ground partially and keep thrashing your tentacles forwards. If nothing breaks your running animation, such as entering the falling, jumping, or flying animation, you get stuck in this animation 'permanently.' Pretty funny to run around with.

What about cross-faction?
If I do the HM with my group of friends on one faction, do I have to do the ritual again with another group on the other faction?
Like... Is it really worth it in the end

I couldn't find anyone giving a goddamn straight answer on this fact, but found on the blizz forums here https://us.forums.blizzard.com/en/wow/t/the-hivemind-mount-group-question/669246 :

"C. Yes, the Hivemind can be bound to multiple groups since it’s specific to each Alt. However, there’s no carry-over between groups. Main-1 will only be able to group with characters Main-1 did the ritual with, Alt-1 will only be able to group with the characters Alt-1 did the ritual with, etc."

TLDR; Yeah, alts on one account that run with different groups, can apparently ride hivemind with that group

Hello,

I was recently looking at all the new warbands features and I noticed most progress is now shared amongst all characters. However, I haven’t seen any new information about the mount Hivemind.
Before the last update, you could only use it with the exact characters you were attuned with so I didn’t even bother; but maybe now that progress is also shared and we can attune the whole account.

Does anyone know if this is possible? Or is it still on a per character basis?

Okay, so someone tell me if I'm wrong. But, based on the tooltip, only the original 4 people that were with you can use this mount.

So, if this is the case, why in the fresh hell would anyone BUY THIS FROM A MULTIBOXING STRANGER?

Am I missing something here? Someone please help.
