This is one of two legendaries (the other being Prydaz, Obra Magna de Xavaric) that can drop for and be used by ANY class.

UPDATE: The latest Beta patch has adjusted many of the passive effects of these legendaries. The following represents the most current in-game data as of August 28/16 (many of the Wowhead tooltips have not been updated yet!)

This is one of the shared legendaries coming in Legion. Most of the new legendary drops will be class specific, while these select "shared" legendaries will be usable by multiple classes. Keep in mind that only legendaries your class can use will drop for you.

At the beginning of Legion, only 1 legendary item can be equipped at a time. Over time, as the expansion progresses this cap will be increased (Source).

Here is some further information about these items:

The legendary items are intended to be used for the entire expansion. They are currently item level 895, and it remains to be seen whether this will change prior to release, or during Legion itself (for comparison, Mythic mode gear from O Pesadelo Esmeralda is iLvl 880).
Thus far, it appears that legendaries will drop from dungeon bosses, raid bosses, PvP Strongboxes, Mythic+ Weekly Caches and World Quest Caches (rewarded after completing 4 world quests). As it stands, these will be the ONLY sources that will yield legendaries. Blizzard may expand where they can come from in the future (Source: Legion Summit Dev Interview, Video | Text Summary; June 16 Legion Live Developer Q & A, 53:30)
While the legendaries are rare drops, they are not fully random - there will be ways to target specific items (Source).
More difficult content will have a higher chance of dropping these items (Source)
It should be nearly impossible to get a duplicate legendary item. (Source: Legion Summit Dev Interview, Video | Text Summary)
Some level of bad luck streak protection also applies to legendary items (i.e. the chances of you getting a legendary will slowly increase if you don't have one drop). (Source: Legion Summit Dev Interview, Video | Text Summary)
If the slot for the item is transmoggable, you can transmog these legendaries to other appearances, and vice versa (unlike legendary items from previous expansions) (Source)
Legion legendary procs/effects will be disabled in instanced PvP (Source)
Blizzard plans to institute a "suppression aura" in effect for a certain number of weeks after Mythic raids are available, which would disable any legendary item passive effects (they would still function normally as high-ilvl regular items, with the primary/secondary stats intact). (Source)

UPDATE - As per the latest information, Legion legendaries WILL BE allowed in all raid situations, INCLUDING Mythic difficulty. The previously noted "suppression aura" in Mythic will not be implemented. (Source: Legion Summit Dev Interview, Video | Text Summary)

All legendary bonus effects are passive "Equip" effects (there are no "Use" effects on these items)
All Legion legendaries are Bind-on-Pickup, and cannot be sold, traded or listed on the Auction House.

I obtained this ring June 7th, 2016 on the beta from a Tributo Altamontês. As of right now it's possible to obtain as loot from the daily world quest faction turn ins. Looting the legendary shouted in guildchat "x has received !"

Mage version Dropped for me on live yesterday, from world quest Emissary chest - High Mountain (Sonalita on EU Blade's Edge). The proc is awesome but people in dungeons were puzzled when I was wheeling a mob on every pull!

Received the Intellect version of this ring on live from a Mythic kill in Halls of Valor (first boss).

There's an odd quirk I noticed with the ring. The stats on it have changed back and forth. Initially it was Haste Mastery as secondaries, but then the next day it was Crit Mastery, and then today it's back to Haste Mastery. I'm not sure if this is an effect of the ring, hotfixes, or in-game stats (but I've always had Crit as the highest stat over the past 3 days).

Anyone shed some light on why the stats would change from one day to another?

Why does this item keep changing its stats? Yesterday it had Crit Haste for some reason and now its gone back to Haste Mastery. This is ingame.

Got this ring yesterday with Lâura on realm Greymane. Was a random drop on a world quest. Mastery displays as 931 rather than the 926 shown above.

I got this yesterday from a Kirin Tor world quest cache (ironically the same day I opened world quests). Not to seem ungrateful, but I wish I could get a legendary that has more benefits in PvE, specifically raiding. Although it does proc from the demon/undead stun on Ashbringer, so there's some synergy there.

This doesn't seem to be triggered by other item effects, such as the stun from A Mordida do Demossauro. It would have helped make this item way more useful for classes with longer CD on their stuns than the rings internal cooldown.

A socket has been added to this item as of September 14th, 2016 - Stats were changed from 1241 Haste and 931 Mastery to 1152 Critical Strike and 620 Haste in an earlier hotfix.

This item does not feel legendary at all. With stats comparable to 850 rings and a proc that is worthless in the majority of pve encounters one can't help but wonder how this item made it through beta testing.

As much as I would have liked to have gotten a Shadow Priest legendary, I'm honestly pretty happy with this. It's 895, got our two best stats on it, a reliable socket for my Saber's Eye of Intellect, and a situational affect that's actually good if it can proc. Hope everyone else gets better luck with their legendaries though :)

Got this on my Tank Warrior.
Charge will proc it assuming the mob is not immune to roots.

Really helps in 5mans where mobs are not immune with threat building.

My 1st Legendary drop. Got this on my Vengeance DH. Wasn't sure how useful it would be for tanking at first, especially in boss fights, but it was my first legendary so of course I spent some time playing with it.

Very happily surprised so far. It procs from both our fear and silence sigils, each of which has a 1 minute CD. If rotated and timed perfectly, this gives me a proc every 30 seconds. Instance bosses are immune to fear, but not all are immune to silence, so I was able to proc it some that way. Even better, so many bosses come with adds! And as long as I can drop the sigil so it catches the adds, I can proc the ring and get the buff for tanking boss.

On trash packs the ring is simply amazing. Like a wee heroism every 30 seconds.

The best part is, it's simply fun to play with. It actually changes the way I play, gives me a new wrinkle to tweak my rotation and tactics, and makes my DH more interesting. Very happy with this so far.

Does anyone have a Weak Aura yet for tracking the ring's CD? I'd love to have an indicator on my screen to tell me when the proc is available, so I don't use a "loss of control" ability at 29 seconds instead of 31.

Dropped this morning on my Unholy Deathknight from Nightfallen World Quest Cache.
Not sure if the "equip is worth talenting Asphyxiate for and using it in rotation but as unholy we have our pet stun to proc the ring on trash packs

Procs off stun from pet and Asphyxiate (Talent)

and Procs off Pillar of Frost+ Remorseless winter with "Winter is comming" Talent
can be macro'd so it will proc in your frost rotation without any effort :D!

This dropped for me last night off of Ursoc. I play Blood DK and was initially underwhelmed by my first legendary until we did a mythic dungeon run after.

The strength of this ring is immeasurable if you spec into Trema Diante de Mim. Essentially the uptime is 100% for trash packs and as someone else commented, "...like a wee Heroism/Lust every 30 seconds". I witnessed the shield provided by Umbilicus Eternus reach 2MM allowing a faster pace and larger pulls with greater confidence.

It's definitely not our best legendary, but nothing to scoff at either and has it's niche uses like Treinamento do Exército dos Fenecidos.

After some mythics, etc i can confirm this will proc on stuns on bosses even tho they are immune.
Not sure if this is working as intended or bug

so unholy's this is for u 8 stacks festering wounds > Soul Reaper > Apocalypse macro'd with pet stun = 36% haste for 10 secs on a 1.5 min CD

Just dropped for me tonight from Ursoc Heroic. Our raid leader also got his legendary (yeah, two legendary items off one boss). As a feral druid I don't find this one quite useful but well, at least I got my first legendary. :/

This is one of the better rings for Mythic Plus content.

- Trash takes up quite a bit of time in Mythic Plus content. Almost having a heroism for every other trash pack is insanely overpowered.

- This item may not be as strong in raid environments but it can be equally great on encounters with adds that you can CC.

Please stop saying that this ring is garbage! (:

Can also be obtained from the class hall chest aka challenger's bounty (available if you have cleared a mythic+ dungeon the previous week)

Testing as a hunter (BM/MM)
Tiro Irruptivo will work
Disparo Aprisionador will work

(tenacity) pet's charge also works (ty to saisai53's comment- i couldn't figure out why ring was suddenly proccing when i switched pets)

so far Tiro de Concussão does NOT work

This is probably a bug, but ring procs from getting auto-dismounted from Arnês do Rataranhão when you attack something.

Seems to be mostly useful for the socket and boost to overall item level. Or possibly fleeing for your life in open world content when overwhelmed by mobs.....

Testing as a Survival Hunter:
Ranger Net - Procs - procs on immune
Freezing Trap - Procs - procs on immune
Tar Trap - Procs - procs on immune
Pet Charge - Procs - procs on immune
Harpoon - Procs
Caltrops - Procs

So far I have confirmed that Ranger Net, Tar Trap, and Freezing trap proc even if the target is immune. Harpoons root has been hit or miss on immune targets. Since the ring's haste proc is every 30 secs I have it tied into using dragon fire grenade since that is 30 secs as well.

This dropped today from a world quest Cache. It's my first legendary from legion. Not very good for a fire mage besides the boat loads of crit. I wont complain though, lots of people still don't even have one legendary.

Just got this today from my mythic+ chest as a Blood DK. Sadly, neither asphyxiate nor cower before me activate the ring when I tested it against a tanking dummy.

It's probably pretty damn good in mythic+ and if you take Cower Before Me it's going to proc nearly all the time, but on bosses it looks like its just a stat stick if there's nothing stunnable.

Edit:

It did not work off immune bosses (tested on world boss and heroic EN with both Cower Before Me and Asphyxiate) and I learned at the same time that the blobs on Ilgynoth are immune to Tremble Before Me, so that talent really sucks for the majority of EN and should not be taken.

Note that this ring has a 40s ICD, not a 30s, or rather, the "30s cooldown" only starts when the buff ends on you. I have tested it thousands of times and it requires 40s to work again.

Just had this drop as a holy priest in VoW. I don't want crit and I dont have any loss of control effects besides Mind Control, which never gets used in dungeons. This is a complete and utter downgrade from my 855 ring. Wow.

The haste buff procs from Totem Capacitor and the knock down effect of Terremoto. That (and the stats) makes it a very decent ring for mythic+ dungeon content for elemental shamans.

I got this ring off Mythic Blackrook Hold Illysanna Ravencrest. I'm not sure about the tooltip, but as a Holy Priest, I cast Holy Word: Chastise as much as I can as it procs 'Invoke the Naaru' being a Holy Word spell. Even on bosses, if Chastise interrupts the boss' casts from its incapacitate effect, it actually procs the ring, as it does stun the boss but goes immune, but seems to count as if it has stunned and incapacitated the boss for the benefit of the ring's proc. This ring is highly useful as it feels like I'm under Time Warp (or similar) every time it does proc, and helps the group along immensely as I can heal a lot faster and get out of damage under my feet so I need healing less especially in Mythic dungeons. I've noticed a huge difference in the ease of healing now with this ring equipped. So this ring I feel is a huge benefit to me.

Got it (surprisingly) after completing Tehd & Marius Excellent Adventure quest chain after killing Inquisitor Ernstenbok. It was not loot of the Inquisitor, it was an apparently random achievement reward.

This ring is so fun when you're a paladin. Your wake of ashes in ret (30 second cooldown) will proc this without fail on non-boss demons and undead (or their adds or just trash in general.) The proc's cooldown being 30 seconds means a good flow of 15% haste buffs and movement speed to feel like a real righteous force. Not only that, but using your other stun (1 minute cooldown) on trash or adds such as Dargrul's golem will give you a nice haste / speed buff. I kind of get the hate as this doesn't entirely translate well to both PvP and PvE, but getting crafty with it really helps it shine in soloing or 5 man content.

I honestly really dig it, helps you feel like more a paladin.

(Oh did I mention this is great for Prot too? Avenging Shield's silence procs it, as does the previously mentioned 1 minute stun. So good.)

UPDATE: So with its changes, it now procs off of dispels, making it even better for Ret paladins. Its stats, in hindsight, are also super good for the class and it should not be ignored or shoved aside as its incredibly flexible for our style. :D

I found out who Sephuz is and what's his secret. He is a warrior miner legendary for picking ores from garrison mines with lightning speed. His secret is that he absolutely hates rats. Whenever he sees one in the mine, not only does he charge them for quicker advance, the ring procs and makes him dash around like a madman; allowing him to emerge from the mine faster than anybody else.

looked here for a comprehensive list of all the class abilities that activate this and instead i find a bunch of terrible players angry cus they dont see the value in an item whos ability is good against everything but raid bosses.

As of the latest 7.1.5 build the proc triggers off of any loss of control effect, interrupt, or dispel (friendly or hostile.)

Stay tuned for patch 7.2, when the effect tooltip changes to "FINE, *!@# IT, YOU GET A 200% MOVEMENT SPEED AND 300% HASTE INCREASE ANY TIME YOU TAKE ANY ACTION, 5 MINUTE DURATION, CAN ONLY OCCUR ONCE EVERY GODDAMNED SECOND. AND YOU'RE STILL GOING TO WHINE WHEN IT DROPS FOR YOU, AREN'T YOU?"

It is currently unknown who Sephuz is, and what his secret is, and the same goes for his sister, known only as "Victoria".

Victoria has yet to have a legendary item named after her as far as we know, though it will most likely be similarly named.

This dropped from a rare spawn just north of Felsoul Hold on the quest chain Breaking the Light Breaker. This is my first legendary - seems pretty handy. I find some comments a bit harsh - although I do see how this is maybe more handy in pvp.

Very serious question: has anyone received this or any of the of the other non-class specific legendaries while their loot spec was set not to "current" but to the specific spec they wanted loot for?

I ask because someone is saying that this and other non-class specific legos won't drop if you've specified a certain spec...

Um... can demo warlocks use this at all? Nothing seems to proc it. I thought maybe fear would, but I don't see the buff appear on a raider's dummy.

Death Knight abilities that proc Sephuz's Secret
Congelar Mente - Baseline interrupt
Garra da Morte - Baseline pull (does not work on bosses)
Carapaça Antimagia - Magic shield (Only as Frost, with the Bola Espelhada Frost artifact talent, and only if it dispels a debuff)
Mordisco - Unholy baseline pet stun, also works with Dark Transformation
Asfixiar - Unholy talented stun - does not work on bosses
Asfixiar - Blood baseline stun - does not work on bosses
Trema Diante de Mim - Blood talented incapacitate. This procs constantly on trash providing maximum uptime and is very powerful in mythic+ dungeons. Does not work on bosses, even though DnD does hit them.
O Inverno está Chegando - Frost talented AE stun. Does not work on bosses, even though RW does hit them.

Bosses cannot be stunned or incapacitated, but abilities like Mordisco that also deal damage as part of the same effect will proc Sephuz's Secret.

Priest abilities that proc Sephuz's Secret

Grito Psíquico - Baseline AE Fear. Cooldown can be reduced to 30s with Voz Psíquica talent. (Does not work on bosses)
Controle Mental - Baseline Charm. Mente Dominante talent works also. (Does not work on bosses)
Dissipação em Massa - Baseline AE Dispel, both enemies and friendlies. Only if it successfully dispels magic from a target.
Dissipar Magia - Baseline enemy Dispel. Only if it successfully dispels magic from an enemy.
Agrilhoar Morto-vivo - Baseline undead CC. (Does not work on bosses)
Purificar - Disc/Holy friendly Dispel. Only if it successfully dispels magic from a friendly.
Palavra Sagrada: Castigar - Holy only. Also works with Censura talent. (Does not work on bosses)

With the 7.1.5 changes this becomes viable for a Holy Paladin.

Yes, haste is our worst stat but a 25% buff with 70% movement speed that can be procced every 30 seconds from any dispell/interrupt/disorient is pretty good!

I use it for all Mythic+ and most raid bosses as long as there are ads I can stun or debuffs I can dispel.

As a frost mage, this will proc off of Counterspell, Spellsteal, and any root in place effects (like Frost Nova, Elemental's Freeze and Glacial Spike) but not off of slow effects (like Cone of Cold). However it will only proc if the spell being used was actually effective.

Counterspell will only proc Sephuz if it successfully interrupts a spell.

Spellsteal will only proc Sephuz if it successfully removes a beneficial spell from your target.

For the root in place effects Sephuz will only proc for other player and most non-boss enemies as most bosses are immune to root in place effects.

This makes Sephuz a bad choice for frost mages for most single target PvE encounters unless they will be interrupting regularly in the fight or there are regular non-boss enemies to root.

Good legendary for world quests and general running around. A lot of legendaries have powerful, conditional effects which are great in raids but are a massive overkill for world content. Having a big boost in movement speed seems a lot more desirable in the latter.

The origin of Sephuz's Secret's name was disclosed by the devs (namely, Seph) in a Reddit class design AMA:

Sephuz's Secret is kind of a reference to a scene in Kung Fu Hustle, where The Beast (the bad ass bad guy) shoots a gun at his own head point-blank and catches the bullet with his fingers, then says something like "In the world of kung fu, speed determines the winner." I always thought that was really bad ass, and Sephuz's Secret is a speed-themed item (movement speed, haste) so there it is.

I've always loved flavor text (probably stemming from my MTG days) and love adding references to names/flavor text of things. I could probably do an entire writeup just on references in the names and flavor text of legendary items. Many of them players have figured out (e.g. Tak'theritrix's Shoulderpads) and it definitely makes me really happy to see when people get it.

As we are now in the meta of Legion and this dropped for my frost mage, I was pretty disappointed because I was hoping for bracers or Shard, but instead this. It did boost my crit a lot though since it was lacking , the proc is meh but stat wise it was a decent upgrade even though I've been really really unlucky this expansion with pretty much every drop.

On arms this ring should make me run faster, but it doesn't. stat wise its a nice upgrade from what I was using, but its effect is broken.

I will miss this ring. As a paladin that has raided on all three specs, I soon discovered that pairing my high crit healer value with this ring and Passos de Aggramar gave me a 55% speed boost when walking. I then understood that shockadin was the spec to do previous content. Going through old dungeons and raids at 1,5 speed was really noticeable. I will keep this legendary combo in my void storage as a memento of glorious "Gotta go fast" days.
