Just like the Mythic fight in Nexus Palace ...... DISABLE ANTI ALIASING OR YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO SEE THE RED OUTLINE OF THE GHOSTS THAT ARE CHARGING AT YOU.

I am baffled it's been a year and Blizzard still haven't fixed it ....

there's 4 main mechanics:

dagger/lines = they kill you if you are standing on them when they go off, this is what the fight starts with

circles/portals = create a triangle with bran so the portals keep you in the middle of them

dark massacre (death ghosts) = they come in through a blue portal and theres going to be three of them, you have to stare at them directly one after another starting with the first spawned one, or you die

seashell seahorse captain = she goes into seashell mode, stand in the middle of the room, shes going to start dashing around just pay attention to where she goes and after 8 dashes (i think it's 8) they all start casting a spell that will kill you if it goes off, you have to click the right one (which is the one you kept an eye on)

that's it

it's just that over and over until she's dead, cycling through each mode

killed it as a 682 moonkin pretty easily once i figured out the mechanics

i've now attained 702 ilevel gear as well as 4 set, every aspect of this fight is trivial EXCEPT dark massacre.. it is the only part of the fight that is challenging

during portals i just shift into bear and frenzied regen, and the seashell phase is trivial still.. the blades are easy enough to avoid but it's dark massacre that kills me every.single.time.

it is so far the most annoying mechanic i have ever encountered in this game, and it seems on ? you have to face them even more accurately than on ? as it seems far less forgiving if youre facing just enough the wrong way

i've gotten it to 57% so far, once i master dark massacre if that's even possible then this thing will die

one trick for that phase is to be near the edge of the room so that theyre less likely to spawn behind you, when theyre behind you it requires too much mouse rotation to be accurate/fast enough and i'm pretty decent at fps lol

Killed her on ? difficulty as 670 destro lock with voidwalker pet.
Challenging but as you figure out mechanics and their rotation, it's quite simple.

Brann was on 59 level with damage role and Mana Tinted Glasses and Battered Aegis curios.

During Nexus Daggers Princess creates few sets of lines. I suggest you to stand quite far away from circle while pet tanks to quicker avoid the lines.
Then is time for Nether Rift. You have to move back to the middle circle and create a triangle with Brann. Then stay between rifts. (Sometimes Brann gets sucked by a rift and he dies, so you should take this into account.)
After rifts Princess will spawn 3 shadows Dark Massacre. And you should face them while the're targetting you with red cone.

During the intermission she will spawn 6 shadows Invoke the Shadows and they will move rapidly. You have to figure out which is the right one and click on it. I've used this aura for that https://wago.io/kXJrFbevR.
I suggest you to heal/resummon pet while she's dancing so pet will not die and she won't aggro you while you will be dancing with lines.

I've had like 3-4 intermissions during the fight. Rotation of spells is same whole time

She just spawned randomly in a delve (Spiral Weave) on a pretty long fight with multiples mobs. She spawned, summoned her add, which killed me with backstab for 10 million dmg, then disappeared, not even had time to blink as it happened so fast.

So I guess it's like Zekvir randomly appearing. Which in comparison is MUCH more manageable than her.

Blizzard can really just go to the Twisting Nether with this style of fight. One mistake = death, and it's designed to be as visually confusing as possible. What does "facing" mean exactly for those clones, because it apparently means directly at them, not merely looking in the general direction.

I hate this fight so much. I keep dying to her shadow clones overlapping due to RNG so I face the wrong clone because I didn't realize there was a second clone in the exact same spot as the last. It's absolute BS that a mechanic so unforgiving as this can f*ck you over by overlap RNG, it's difficult enough without it.

Solo'd her today as 681 ilvl Marksmanship Hunter on double ? difficulty, after some 80 - 90ish tries.

I was struggling hard with the fight yesterday when I learned it, but then a guy on YouTube told me a deal-breaker which saved me completely, as I was unaware of it:

Brann's healing potions stack a Heal-over-Time, so you want to stagger those before you enter the black hole phase. I was dying to lack of defensives all the time yesterday, so this definitely helped.

I had 2set from s3, so my Trueshot was 90 seconds, pairing well with each full cycle rotation, and used House of Cards trinket to go with that. DISC belt set to Cauterizing Bolts for healing, also used Seabed Leviathan and Legendary Skipper citrines in Cyrce. Talents were basic icy-veins Raid Singletarget ones, but I used Improved Streamline on the final node to pump the hell out of her.

I used Rank 1 Hatarang and Rank 1 Battered Aegis, my Brann is level 32.

My personal strategy:
1) Trueshot every rotation, BL + prepot on pull (my DPS before first guessing dance was usually 2.7 - 3.3 mil DPS)
2) Stagger Brann HoT potions, so pick up some as you get the black hole, then extend it with the last one as you get sucked (if you fail, use SotF, Exhil or Turtle)
3) Just as the phase ends, feign death (wait 1-2 seconds), then Misdirection on Brann, so that he takes aggro
- This can be kind of messy, since you need to dodge the shades while being able to do damage, but it does take her off of you so you don't take any extra, so it's up to you, pick your poison
4) If you have aggro, walk past her on her first Nexus Blades, if Brann has aggro, you can stand further away
5) Rinse and repeat
6) Position the real Ky'veza on a standardized spot, e.g. if you keep having her to the right on her Dance phase, just keep her there, so that your brain gets used to it
6.5) When you figure out which one she is, wait for her to almost finish her cast, because you will then get your Trueshot back just as she starts her next Nexus Blade combo, forming a reliable, repetitive rotation
7) Survive
7.5) If you use the Misdirection strategy, DO NOT RESURRECT BRANN IF HE DIES, EVER, because he can bug out and then she WILL DESPAWN once you Feign Death again, as you drop aggro.

Details said 1.81 mil DPS when she died. My sims say around 3.5, but it gets diluted a lot by the waiting phase and movement.
I went through 6.5 cycles, the fight lasted 9 minutes and 28 seconds.

Reading all the comments on this fight makes me think whoever decided to make the Maw not mountable for a long time got to decide how this fight went. I don't mind doing a bit of work in game but i play games to have fun not to be annoyed to death with dumb %^&* mechanics.

Managed ? at 682 on prot paladin. Took nine minutes, but we got there. Double ? feels ridiculous with Dark Massacre's required accuracy, let alone all the times Brann is sabotaging the run.

Killed her on 29.08.2025 on ?-level, took me 5 trys, then the Pain began...

Killed her Today 30.08.2025 on ?-level (Screenshot of Achievment/Mountskin submited), no extra-addons or WeakAuras, exception here: Mute-Brann-Addon, cause he gets damn annoying after a couple of trys.

When i managed to kill her, i had no Flask, no Food and no Weaponoil active. Took me about 9 hours as a iLvl 705 Blood-DK (equiped for Unholy!) with lvl 89 Brann as DD. Tried it some as Unholy with Healer-Brann, but hell, with all those Minions and Effects going on the Dagger-Phase and the Clones where nearly impossible to play.

Brann on DD is an extra Hard-Mode with how often he sabotage the fight by "Going all out" with his stupid Gryphon during the Portal-Phase and dying. So if you are not a Tank, take Brann as a Healer and enjoy clear Portal-Phases.

I held her in the Middle of the Room and managed the Clones just fine, but as it was stated: you NEED to look directly an the Clone! Just the general direction will often lead to instant-Death.

Biggest Tip i can give: be patient! Give up on some Damage and insted play the Mechanic safe and clean. During the Clone-Staring-Contest i didnt do any kind of Damage, just rotatet the Char. Same goes for the Daggers: Watch closely where the openings are instead of pushing for Damage AND stay safe.

Got her double-? version down after maybe 100 pulls (across a few days), as enhancement shaman with ~706 ilvls. I skipped doing the single-? version entirely, didn't really feel worth it. It really is just all about learning each of the 4 mechanics she does real well and executing perfectly. I'll jot down a few tips for each below. Ran Brann as healer with batarang and audio amplification crystal.

Nexus Daggers:
- Camera high, take as few steps as possible to land on empty ground. Keep moving and bail on doing damage entirely if the ground close to you is too busy. It's better to sacrifice some dps and live, especially as the fight goes on.

Nether rift:
- The one mechanic where you can actually kind of focus on doing damage. Move to the spot not filled by brann or the random rift, move out of the circle, then just do your rotation.
- Rifts will tick the most damage out of all the mechanics, so I made sure to always have a defensive up during them. Picking up a brann healing potion right before it starts ticking will also help.
- Once the rift ends is a great time to pick up some Brann healing potions. Keep an eye out for where they land, then bolt for them as soon as the rifts stop pulling on you, ideally pick up a few before Dark Massacre starts.

Dark Massacre:
- Definitely the hardest mechanic to master. I found a weakaura that plopped a green line pointing vertically from your character was very helpful, for example this: https://wago.io/HSQVq_2WV
- Center your camera on the first clone. Always keep an eye out for the next clone in the set, so you can immediately move your camera after the previous one triggers without having to look for the red pulse. You'll start to get a feel for this rhythm down after a few attempts. After you get it down you can do it fairly easily while still DPS:ing.
- Again, try to nail the mechanic with as little movement as possible of your camera. It's easy to overshoot and generally be too fidgety with the camera. Calm, small-as-possible camera movements to the next clone in the set is the way to go.

Invoke the shadows:
- Camera high and leave it still. Pretty much don't touch anything while focusing your eyes on following the clone that speaks first. I was able to do this flawlessly after maybe 10 times seeing the mechanic. Relax your eyes and just follow the clone with your sight, while tuning out the other ones.
- After this mechanic is a bit of downtime while she waits to cast daggers. Good time to get some DPS in and take a few breaths before continuing.

That's pretty much it. Each mechanic is not difficult in isolation, but performing them flawlessly for 6 or so minutes is a challenge. On my kill I had to go through almost exactly 3 cycles of mechanics, at around 2.8m DPS. You will lose a lot of DPS to just messing up your rotation while focusing on mechanics, but just do the best you can and get the mechanics down to muscle memory. My heart rate spiked each time I got her down to below 30% - staying calm while executing mechanics is maybe the hardest part.

Enhancement specific tips
- I ran the standard single target raid spec from icyveins.
- Initiated each pull with elemental blast -> flameshock -> spirit wolves -> ice strike, to close the distance while dodging daggers, then doom winds, ascendance, bloodlust while she does her rifts.
- Cycle between astral shift, stone bulwark totem and (as a last resort) earth elemental for nether rifts.
- It's better to spend some maelstrom on a healing surge than dying, but if you pick up a few healing potions from brann at opportune times you shouldn't need to.
- Don't spend any big cooldowns right before invoke the shadows, it's just wasted.

Killed Ky'veza today on ? difficulty today, during the EXACT frame when she splits into her 6 clones. Couldn't get to loot chest but thankfully all appeared in the mail after leaving. Just in case anyone happens to pull off the same thing I did!

686 MM Hunter here... Took me like 8 full cycles of the mechanics to kill the boss... after MANY tries... the thing that always got me was the facing the dudes because sometimes they spawn so close to the same time, btu you can't see it because of the mess on screen just obstructing your view.

Overall, I found this to be VERY unenjoyable. It is not like a game like Elden Ring where you are rewarded for getting better at it. While this takes practice... there is far too much RNG in how the lasers hit the ground, the Face You guys spawn in, etc... there's too much spatter all over your screen as to be distracting and instead of reward you for your skill you gained in the fight, instead to kill you because of some RNG mechanic where you just got some bad spawn ins... That is not fun.

Overall, I think it's a very poorly designed fight, imo. Is it doable? Sure. I did it with Brann as my healer. I tried it with him as my tank but he kept getting stunned and would be useless. When Brann was DPS, he kept stacking the circles annoyingly. With Brann as healer I could reliable triangle them safely.

If I were you, I'd probably hold off until you way over-gear this place because it's not fun.

Insta-death phantoms are a lot worse when she ambushes you, because you don't have space to manage it. That makes me think delves should really have a dungeon journal tab.

What are the rewards for summoning and getting killed by Ky'veza? WoW does a bad job conveying that information to the player, especially in large groups, but in this case, I am solo. I assume due to being one-shot that I am not supposed to kill this enemy; fight was going well then I just died while at full health w/ damage mitigation and a shield. But besides losing a life, the point of summoning is...?

The ? fight is really not that hard, you just have to stare into a red line pixel perfect like 60 times, and you got her, and if you @#$% up even once you get to start over! Don't see the problem, really /s

I feel like they had the right difficulty figured out with Zekvir, that fight was hard but fair, you just had to play it down. Dark Massacre, in turn, is an ability that's so incredibly unfair and unfun (and is only really interrupted by the worst shell game mechanic I've seen in the game) that I really question the sanity of anyone who wants to grind through this fight (including me, because I will).

I dont know if any protection paladin already made a guide of this, but here's mine.

First of all, turn off anti-aliasing, but at this point everyone trying to kill her must know it. I also turned on the "Low Latency Mode" coz I suffer with a 0.5 second-ish delay.

I made it as a 712 Lightsmith Protection Paladin, 710 Ara-Kara Sacbrood and 707 Tome of Light's Devotion as my trinkets. I used Flask of Alchemical Chaos as flask and Hearty Beledar's Bounty as food, beside Thunderous Drums and Tempered Potion. I personally don't like Tome of Light's Devotion for this fight, but I don't have another good trinket to replace it.

Here is my talents, basically it is the most usual lightsmith m+ build with just a few modifications, as follows:

Brann is at level 100, set as dps (because he alone done ~35% of her life as damage), he was equipped with Hatarang and Battered Aegis both 4/4.

I started most of tries with Holy Bulwark (so I had Sacred Weapon up to Avenging Wrath coz of Blessing of the Forge), pre potting Tempered Potion, followed by Thunderous Drums, Avenging Wrath, Hammer of Wrath and Divine Shield, so I can enjoy all 40s lust window focused on boss (but most of tries, instead of bubble here, I used Blessing of Freedom and avoided being hit).

So, for Nexus Daggers I used Blessing of Freedom right after the start of the fight and everytime after the Invoke the Shadows 2-3 seconds before she starts casting Nexus Daggers. And for the other 2 casts of each phase, I used 1 charge of Divine Steed also 2-3 seconds before she starts casting Nexus Daggers.

For Nether Rift, most of time movement speed buff from Blessing of Freedom was still active and helped to drop the pool in the right place, and when it starts to pull, since she casts it twice before the intermission, I used defensive in that order, Eye of Tyr for the 1st cast, and Holy Bulwark for the 2nd cast, each defensive right after dropping the pool. (despite of poor Brann positioning, and when that happened I had to use 1 charge of Divine Steed to avoid being pulled to a rift, making a mess for the next Nexus Daggers cast). I also had to use Lay on Hands or Word of Glory because she hits very hard at this part of the fight.

For Dark Massacre, most of time I just face direct to it, with anti-aliasing off and low-latency mode on, it was very easy, but a few times I did rotate defensives as Ardent Defender and Divine Shield. Note that Guardian of Ancient Kings and Blessing of Spellwarding most of time didn't work for me, at least here.

Finally, for Invoke the Shadows, if you're standing close to the center of the arena, you can easily see a blank spot in the formation while the shadows are being summoned, she'll always be in that blank spot, knowing that, you just need to follow her until the cast ends.

Rinse and repeat. Use Thunderous Drums and Tempered Potion whenever it is available, but the best time to use it is right after the end of each intermission when Avenging Wrath and Sacred Weapon should both be available again.

It took me 480 tries! But, in my defense, I just knew the "anti-alias/low-latency mode" cheat when I was around 300 tries, before that I kept dying on Dark Massacre coz I just can't memorize the order and the spot they appeared.

I didn't use any movement speed pot or enchantment, and I also tried it as Templar and/or with Brann setted as healer, but the damage output was too low to worth the time, however, Templar rotation is a lot easier. Oh, and I didn't try the one-button thing, since there's a huge dps loss, even compared to those tries when even doing the "multi button" rotation I stopped doing damage while running from Nexus Daggers or while facing Dark Massacre.

At last, when I kill it, I forgot to use lust and pot, and she got 5 stacks of Death Cloak.

When I first came across her, I was 668 Fire Mage and she...pretty much decimated me before I could even figure out the mechanics. I came back today at 690, and it was night and day. Got her to 2% the first try, then went in with actual buffs with the intent to take her down and got her as a cake walk.

Everything is pretty well timed and equally spaced, and she never deviates from the pattern. Lines > Circles > Assassins. Lines > Circles > Assassins. Lines > Circles > Assassins > CLONES. Rinse and repeat. At 690, I was able to mess up a single assassin and survive so long as I was already full health when it happened. It'd just activate my Cauterization and I could just Ice Block heal in a panic. But, truly, at this ilvl, it gives you enough room to breathe that the fight doesn't feel like a screaming panic run.

If you have done Brawler's Guild in the past, you can do this Delve boss.

Alright, I finally got her on ? difficulty after 288 tries, 695 BM Hunter with LV100 Brann healer.
Nexus Daggers, Nether Rift, Dark Massacre are all fine to me, but Invoke the Shadows? That is really a pain in the ass for a middle age guy like me.
This is really no fun game at all, insta-death mechanics sucks.

Recent hotfix makes the Dark Massacre shades close in sensitivity to the ones from Ky'veza/Shades in regular delves. Still harder than that given there's 6 at a time of course.

Fight felt more fair to me as the finnicky nature of this part felt immensely BS imo. Worth giving a shot again if you had a hard time with it earlier in the patch. Only real recommendations I have are make sure you turn her nameplate off, I forgot this for a bit when coming back to it and found it much easier to keep track of things without it clogging my vision. Also, continue moving slightly while facing the Massacre shades instead of only turning. Good luck!

This is a very manageable fight now - but DON'T BE FOOLED by that sentence... It still took me like 20 tries to finally beat it (but then again - I'm not a hardcore Raider or Mythic+ runner so mechanics aren't something I am super good at... That being said - if I can do this fight - YOU can do this fight)...

I tried her both when it was the original fight - and again tonight when it was the nerfed fight. If you don't know what that means - the DEVs got sooooooooo many complaints on how incredibly difficult she was that they basically nerfed her into a more manageable version of the fight, which mind you - is still very hard if you're not paying attention OR very easy if you are...

Okay so here are my thoughts on the fight:
-- Anti-Aliasing OFF
-- Set outline to HIGH

-- (If you are a BM Hunter - use a SPIRIT BEAST ONLY! I'll explain below)
-- Get one thing straight - Miss ANYTHING and you die. This fight is a "one-shot" fight if you get hit
-- DON'T stand still (aside from intermission) EVER!

-- The lines... As soon as you smack her in the face or shoot an arrow into the side of her head or do ANYTHING she is provoked by - triangular lines immediately spread across the battlefield (which are very manageable). Look for the gaps and don't stand on the lines. There's like 3-4 sets in rapid succession but they leave GIANT holes that you can easily move to in a couple of steps...

-- The big purple circles. There are 3. You have one of them. Brann has the other one and I believe the 3rd is a static circle. 99% of the time Brann will jump to one side of the STATIC circle - you want to immediately go opposite and make a triangle out of the 3 circles. But you have to WAIT about 3 seconds for the circle to actually anchor in place BEFORE you move to the middle or you drag the circle with you. Once it anchors and you are in the middle - you will be slightly pulled by the circles (which is why making a triangle out of them keeps you in the middle) - you will have about 3-5 seconds to burst DPS her face off before the backstabbers appear...

-- The BACKSTABBERS: There are 3. Look for the BLUE smokey things that appear at random and FACE THAT - and a backstabber will appear from it with red stabbies... Face them all 3 times or you die. DO NOT do anything else other than face them at this time...

-- PICK THE RIGHT ONE (called "Invoke the Shadows"): She will form a circle of clones and ONE of them (her) will ask: "Which is Real?" at which time she will zoom in straight lines randomly around the middle circle area. The easiest way (for me) to do this - (stand in the middle and view down so you see the clones all around you) - was to actually lock my eyes on her and move my entire head as I followed her movements rather than just try to follow her with my eyes alone... Once she stops - run up to her - touch her - and the other clones will fade away and you will now have your biggest burst dps timeframe to do as much damage to her as you can. The moment this is up - she casts the lines. My trick to easily avoiding them when she casts them was to run right through her where there were none - and THEN dodge the rest.

That's it - that's what you will face.
So once you have the actual mechanics down - the fight itself becomes a repeat pattern activity and depending on how much DPS you're actually doing will determine how long this encounter lasts and how many times you will have to repeat the different phases of the fight.

A few thoughts on HEALING if you're going as DPS - set Brann as a Healer. Ky'Veza - while weak - will moderately pick away at your health the entire time and actually do some good damage while you're trying to place the circle or dodge lines or backstabbers so........................ Make sure you have some healing potions and any other type of healing.

Being a BM Hunter - I have 4 ways to heal myself in addition to Brann throwing his potions and the golden orb:

#1: Fortitude of the Bear
#2: Exhilaration
#3: Healing Potion (or Cavedweller's Delight Healing Potion)
#4: Having my pet cast Spirit Mend on me
#5: Brann's healing assistance

So my health never fell away very far, EVER and after a few repeat phases I was finally able to beat her.
You get an ACH and a cool transmog helm for beating her.

No idea what all the whinging is about, this is a perfectly manageable fight that is honestly not all that hard. I did it both at 680 and 710 ilevel. She barely does any damage, and I'm a frost mage. I used Brann as a healer just in case, but honestly he could've been any spec and I would've been fine.

I agree that the one-shot mechanics suck as a concept, but they make this fight pretty easy since as long as you avoid them, you win. She does so little damage to you that you can easily just dance around the mechanics shooting her every once in a while and beat her.

She typically does the following order of attacks (it doesn't seem random to me at all):
Nexus Daggers - If you're in melee, walk through her and then keep dancing around the lines that appear under you.
Void Rift - Rift will follow under you for ~3 sec, make a triangle with Bran and other circle and then stand in the middle of the triangle once rift stops following you. *This is a good time to pump some DPS into her as you get pulled between the rifts*
Dark Massacre - Face the shadow clones that appear. 3 will appear.
Invoke the Shadows/Enter The Shadows - similar to the barrel game world quest from Legion. Follow the clone that says "Which one is real?". They'll dash around in a hexagonal pattern around you (think of the 8 vertices of a hexagon, each one will be a clone that will swap places about 5-6 times). Walk up to the "real" clone that you followed and interact with it. * After this is another good time to pump some DPS into her before she repeats the pattern *.

It seems that she'll do 2 rounds of Nexus Daggers - Void Rift - Dark Massacre before she goes onto Invoke The Shadows.

As a note, I barely DPS'd her at all aside from the two times that I noted. I mainly just avoided the mechanics and shot a few Ice Lances and other instant cast spells at her.

I have shaky hands due to carpal tunnel syndrome, so I struggled a lot with precisely facing the assassin shades during the Massacre mechanic.
Still, I managed Kyveza as a 707 ilvl Arms Warrior.

Game changers for me:
• Disable the Kyveza HP bar and play as if the fight never ends
• Brann → healer
• Graphics → Gamma → 1.2
• Graphics → Anti-Aliasing → None
• Graphics → Outline Mode → High

You can use the red outline on the shades to see which one is next, but it’s even better to remember the positions of the first three so you don’t stress out.

The challenge was cool anyway 😄 I’ll definitely come back to it from time to time.

Just did this after a good many tries. Seems to me that it's not about ilvl with this fight but all about mechanics. The part I had most problems with was "Invoke the Shadows". Keeping up with where her clones are is tough for a 59yo guy . Keep your camera angle high and overhead. Follow the clone that speaks first , and if you miss that, follow the one that moves first. Save DPS bursts for after this as this is when you get the biggest window.

My best advice would be to concentrate on mechanics and just chip away at her health, ignore her hp bar and just keep going till she dies.

Personally, every mechanic became a cakewalk except Invoke the Shadows. I've must've had terrible RNG because multiple times, she would swap places right next to her twice or thrice in a row, making me instantly lose track of her.

Eventually, the rng was kind enough that she actually didnt swap places with the ones next to her and finally got the kill after 29 pulls.

Everything else about this fight was enjoyable. Liked it way more than Underpin and Zekvir.
