What's the probability that in any given LFG Heroic Dungeon that at least one player will leave the group after killing the first boss, Avanoxx, when they don't get this trinket?

Comments about people leaving the dungeon aside, what does this trinket do?

-> Your attacks have a chance to give you a buff counting DOWN from 60 seconds - this buff gives you MAIN STAT according to the trinket's ilvl and IT CAN STACK (highest ive had was 5 stacks)
-> When the aforemented buff expires, you get another buff WITHOUT duration, which causes your next attack to launch a spiderling at the target doing low damage

Overall a nice trinket, sometimes affects your character visually (the buff gives you spider eggs on your body, seemingly random - had one on my head and one on my hand)

Some background:

Currently while raids and m+ are not available, this is the best possible trinket for what seems to be about every spec. Accordingly, people are queueing in to just kill the first heroic dungeon boss for it and then leaving to do it again.

Blizzard's response:

We’re currently working on a hotfix that will implement the Deserter debuff for players who leave a Group Finder dungeon early.

This penalty will apply to early leavers in all Group Finder dungeons, not just Ara-Kara, City of Echoes.

If you really really need it, there's a free 554 version from the quest Ara-Kara, the City of Echoes: Harvest's End from Tulumun at /way #2255 56.2 42.2
Better a guaranteed normal one than a random green trinket I suppose.

Been running Ara-kara at least half a day today. I finally got mine after being ditched by farming groups (there were great, honorable groups too). From my observation it never does drop for Holy or Protection paladins - I killed the boss at least 40 times. Never a single drop for me. I got mine traded off during one of the farming groups by a Rogue. I've noticed that it seems like the trinket is most likely to drop for DPS specs - I've seen it drop most for rogues, ele shamans, evokers, mages and hunters.

I think before the season hits us, Blizzard should investigate it.

Ran this dungeon possibly 30+ times as Resto Shaman and never had it drop. Changed loot spec to Elemental and it dropped second run. I'm guessing the loot pool is slightly bugged? Hope this helps some other frustrated Resto Shammies!

I got it without even knowing it existed on my first heroic run on my evoker, so it's been nice being able to trade it to everyone because damn I seem to get it like every 3-4 runs. Definitely have made a few people's days though so I run it a lot for fun and to help gear people up.

Not looted after 35 runs...

EDIT: After reading the shaman's comment, I decided to try switching my loot spec (from DH tank to DPS) and got it after 6 tries—not sure if it’s related.

Apart from that, after some testing, this item is definitely worth more than any other Agility item. After 10 minutes of combat, I got an average of 2-3 stacks, which is around 1700-2550 Agility (ilvl 580), with some peaks at 5 stacks (4257 Agility).

I am starting to believe that Blizz reduces the drop chance of very strong trinkets on purpose in order to make people play their game more. I have done over 30 AK m7+ over the last days and have already received all items from my loot table multiple times except this trinket.

My issue with this item is that every guide ranks it S-A+ for almost every DPS class and some. Tons of people in highlevel logs use this item, but when ever it is Simulated, the DPS on this is thrash. So there is obviously something Im missing here.

I'm currently running around with an average of ilvl 595 gear (if this matters), but had this trinket during the City of Threads (Izo, the Grand Splicer). During the fight, the trinket was said to have done 330k worth of damage - without me having to do a thing. That's not a bad return to be fair. It increased what other (almost passive) damage I do unto the boss with some of my talents by around a 3rd.

When you are looking at losing or winning against a boss by 1% then everything counts.

Should add, I upgraded it to the 593 Heroic version.

Does anyone know if this trinket is simming correctly? 626 to 639 ilvl, it's only showing 9,800 dps increase for single target & 24,000 increase for 5 targets. Doesn't really seem like much but maybe it's not factoring in the primary stat?

If anyone is wondering about arachnophobia mode, this trinket is indeed modified. You see eggs on yourself and crabs attacking your target. So fellow arachnophobes (and those who would wish STDs upon their enemies), worry not and rejoice!
