I insanely managed to tame this guy last night so I have a little bit of information to help other hunters who would like him.

Deepglider is the only ray that is the red body blue stripe model avalible to hunters at the moment.

For one I ran around the Coral Forest for 3 to 4 hours looking for this rare so he seems to be on a longer spawn timer then some of the other rares. Soundless did not spawn during this time so they are probably not linked. The ray daily was to collect the eggs so there is a chance it is not connected to killing the eliet rays in the area as I didn't see anyone in the area killing them, more testing might be needed. He did not spawn on top of the coral but he did spawn up in the air around the level of the other rays. He was moving counter clock wise around the coral which could be a type of fight path but I tamed him pretty fast as the chance of someone coming along and tag him away from me were really high so I am unsure.

Honestly I was super lucky to get the tame off since the Coral Forest is a super high traffic area and with people starting to unlock flight taming chances are going to become fewer. This might be a 'wait until this is no longer current content' type of tame for hunters. He does look amazing though.

Deepglider rare mob can be found in Nazjatar.

Absolutely useless rare mob, only useful if you play hunter so you can tame it.
It has multiple spawn points south of Azsh'ari Terrace, so you need to walk around
to locate it somewhere there.

So my wife and I have been camping this guy for at least 8 hours now and the only one of the 2 rays that has spawned has been Soundless. So he doesn't seem to be on any kind of timer.

I found him at 54.70, 44.65 at 08.04 server time on Twisting Nether-EU. It was slightly above ground but still in melee range (I have balance affinity giving 3 yards range on my melee abilities though). Has 1.1m starting HP that scales; 3-4 more people joined in. Would be easy to solo anyways with a few interrupts.

Finally killed him today.

Not sure this will help, but:

Soudless showed up first (/way 60 48), then after around 10-15 min Deepglider spawned near Soudlesses spawn (didn't kill him as I was afk -_-, but RareScanner showed up,that he must've spawned somwhere near that point as I didn't move).

After 3 hours Soudnless spawned again (at the same point /way 60 48), Deepglider poped up (/way 57 54) after an hour of the Soundless kill (So again near the point where Soundless showed up).

What I want to know is... does Deepglider share a spawn with other rays? Can you force spawn him if you farm the rays? Or does he have his own, separate, spawn?

I managed to spawn Deepglider today. I was camping the area around the gliders for almost 6 hours during which I was on an alt circling endlessly at the skyray area herbing. Soundless spawned twice but Deepglider did not. Eventually i killed exactly 1 Bloated Sky Ray and Deepglider spawned almost immediately next to Alga the Eyeless spawn point, on the ground. It could be a coincidence, or not. Up to that point no one else had killed any bloated skyray.

It looks incredible. Gonna try and spawn it again during my server's quiet hours tomorrow to tame it with my hunter.

Just wanted to report: I killed him just now. I was in a group of 5, we killed bloated sky rays for approx 35 minutes when he finally spawned (near alga the eyeless).

Keep on it guys, he exists :)

I've seen Soundless and Deepglider spawn together. They definitely don't share spawn timer.

I'm starting to suspect that his spawn is bugged on my realm, I've been camping his spot for a week or two, and I have never seen it. It's the last one I need for the Nazjatar rares achievement, which is frustrating me.

I farmed Bloated Sky Rays for over an hour, in a group of 5 and could not get it to spawn. So you either can't force a spawn by farm killing them or it "might" require a certain daily quest to be active or something.

(I tried on the day of the Ray Egg collecting quest.)

Just killed him at 59/46.

Don't know if it matters but the World Quest for killing Sky Rays was up and I just finished it. After that I killed a few additional Sky Rays in the area and the Lost Algam at around 55/46. 1-2 minutes after that Deepglider showed up. Clearly I can't say for sure if it was just coincidence.

Camped for around 5.5 hours killing Bloated Sky Rays on/off. Soundless spawned 1 hour before Deepglider did at around 56,47.
There were no world quests up around the area.

I was helping a friend to do the introductory quests to Nazjatar when we found it at 61 48 just gliding through the air... I'm bummed, cause I lack just deepglider, shambler, and Banescale...
I did kill it... but I was with an alt! :(
So yeah, it exists... but dunno when can spawn or how

It just spawned for me! I was just looking for it for about an hour, killing sky rays and Algens!
Dont know if it is coincidence or not, but it spawned after i had killed more or less 3 of each type of algens.(wayward, lost and disturbed)

Ok, got this at 2.20 a.m. as my 3rd last rare for achi, also missing anemonar and rockweed, more worried about the latter but former is also frustrating, and I came there just in time, it was like halfway and its hp was pretty low, like 1,7 mil total with the 2 of us, someone had been killing some rays, the first who attacked it but it's probably just on a bit longer spawn time than soundless, can't confirm it spawns from killing rays; now in this case, soundless was up on my realm just 4 hours earlier, around 10 p.m. if that's any help.

Oh, and unlike soundless, this was on the ground, not on a coral platform.

I found him at 44 42 (to the east of Alga the Eye).

He appears few seconds after I killed Soundless. Maybe there a trick on it.

So it confirms that Soundless and Deepglider are not sharing a respawn timer.

Kill a dozen or so Bloated rays and camped over an hour. no spawn. Next day I joined a group for Rockweed and while killing Algans, Deepglider was up. Got two rares in an hour.

Today Deepglider was up at /way 58,11 51,84 untill it got killed by an elite Giant patrolling the road.

As it was 04:30 in the morning on a low populated server; nobody reacted in time to my announcement in chat nore to the LFG I listed.
What a waste.... :(

Killed at 09:42 at Kazzak-EU with warmode off. He's real you guys! Camped out for him 7 hours the other day and was so bummed he didn't show up. Now I finally have I Thought You Said They'd Be Rare?! Can confirm he's hovering a bit over ground and seems like the spawnpoints here are correct. I was waiting at 57 47 and he spawned at 61.36 48.7 and NPC scan went off. I didn't kill any Algans or Rays and Silence DID NOT spawn right before him (I camped for an hour this time).

After on and off farming this dude over a few months I got fed up never seeing it and decided to be a bit more proactive. I made a macro to target the Bloated Sky Rays and start killing. About 20 minutes into my farm (around 10 kills) Deepglider spawned and I finished my achievement. If you are actively seeking Deepglider still I would highly recommend sticking around the area and killing the elite rays.
Side Note: Soundless spawned about 8 minutes later, but I doubt that was related.

Just killed him after having camped him for like 3 hrs. We killed the sky rays, but i dont know if its related. But if not he seems to have a very high respawn timer.

I killed zero rays of any type and just sat at the spawn point for 4 hours and he finally spawned. I think this is just a long spawn timer. This was about 6 hours after server reset.

I killed around 25 bloated ray for quests and at 24th ray Deepglider spawned. I don't know if it's related.
More interesting is that it spawned on the ground for me, not in the sky like Soundless. If I didn't have that Rare searching addon I could have missed him.
Also it had only 1.5mil hp, so it didn't live for long.

I came here for info and as I was reading the comments he spawned within 5 minutes. Near the ground. I didn't kill a thing nor were others in the area killing mobs.

This rare became my Moby $%^& over the past few weeks.
The strategy of killing Bloated Sky Ray mentioned in other comments doesn't seem reliable. Killing the rays either pops a spawn point or they just get lucky, but it may be a nice way to kill time. The only method that worked for me was to just sit in the Coral Forest and afk until he showed up. An addon like RareScanner should help with that. Make sure to check LFG custom tab and people will likely list a group if they find him. Also, as others have noted, since Deepglider spawns on the ground he can be engaged by Unshackled Protector. Keep that in mind if you're waiting to engage Deepglider, as he may be killed premature.

After weeks of searching Deepglider spawned on Wyrmrest Accord at 4:56 AM server with warmode off.
Was worried the spawn may have been bugged, but it seems to still be fine (at least for WrA).

Killed Deepglider after 6.5 hours - He spawned approx 20 minutes after Soundless at 56 49
Was on high alert after Soundless spawn since there are multiple comments saying he spawned after Soundless kills.

Just tamed Deepglider today at around 23:50 server time, he was hanging around 53.27, 43.01
Was waiting for him to spawn for just under 4h, the 1st hour I killed the Bloated Sky Rays but they didn't seem to help so I just waited the other 3h.

Maybe it was a coincidence but he seemed to spawn about the same time as when I killed the Colossal Sky Ray I had kited over to Amenonar.

Not sure if they've upped the appearance rate for this guy, but I've seen him again about 4 hours after the previous.

As of today, it spawned at 59, 55, on the ground and was fighting a friendly Elite Giant. If you have rare scanner, it was slighty south of the mark for Anemonar.

I saw some comments and theories from a few years ago regarding the spawn. I have been in Nazjatar for weeks on end finishing up the Meta Achieve. Never seen this guy spawn once. Today I decided to try killing Bloated Sky Rays, I killed about 10 of them and Deepglider spawned. Happy hunting all <3
