Sayge offers a series of very useful buffs if you answer his questions correctly.

1.1 +10% Damage - 1st: Slay the Man 2nd: Execute your friend painfully
1.2 +10% Magical Resist - 1st: Slay the Man 2nd: Execute your friend painlessly
1.3 +10% Armor - 1st: Slay the Man 2nd: Let your friend go
2.1 +10% Spirit - 1st: Turn him over to liege 2nd: Confront the diplomat
2.2 +10% Int - 1st: Turn him over to liege 2nd: Show not so quiet defiance
2.3 +10% Magical Resistance - 1st: Turn him over to liege 2nd: Remain quiet
3.1 +10% Stamina - 1st: Confiscate the corn 2nd: Speak against your brother openly
3.2 +10% Strength - 1st: Confiscate the corn 2nd: Help your brother in
3.3 +10% Agility - 1st: Confiscate the Corn 2nd: Keep your brother out without letting him know.
4.1 +10% Int - 1st: Let him go and have the corn 2nd: Take credit, keep gold.
4.2 +10% Spirit - 1st: Let him go and have the corn 2nd: Take credit, Share the gold.
4.3 +10% Armor - 1st: Let him go and have the corn: 2nd: Let the knight take credit

At the Darkmoon Faire, players can also receive free buffs by talking to a fortune telling gnoll named Sayge. When players talk to Sayge, he asks the player a few questions and gives the player a buff depending on how the player answered the questions.
Below is a list of possible buffs players may receive:

Sayge's Dark Fortune of Strength :+10% Strength
Sayge's Dark Fortune of Agility :+10% Agility
Sayge's Dark Fortune of Stamina :+10% Stamina
Sayge's Dark Fortune of Intelligence :+10% Intelligence
Sayge's Dark Fortune of Spirit :+10% Spirit
Sayge's Dark Fortune of Armor :+10% Armor
Sayge's Dark Fortune of Damage :+1-10% Damage
Sayge's Dark Fortune of Resistance :+25 to All Resistances

if you take the fortune quiz he gives you and you want a certain buff answer the questions like this

You can get all the different buffs on one character.

When you get one, pop your char in the inn for two hours and out again to get another buff if the fair is still there. (Make sure u get a different one as same ones don't stack.)

Recommended for alts :p

I dont know if these people are correct or not, but I havent found any of the corrent fortunes YET! I tried like 90-100 times!

Buffs go on base stats, so rather weak.

Going for damage is your best bet.

Sayge is an homage to the classic Ultima series of role playing games. In Ultima IV, V, VI and IX, the game began with a meeting with The Gypsy fortune teller, and your answers to her moral dilemmas determined the stats your character would begin with.

anyone know what exactly is the timing between fortunes? right now i have it "narrowed" down to between 2.5 and 6 hours :(

I don't know about the others, but the "+10% to stamina" buff gave me a grand total of 180 health. Since I have 2761 stamina unbuffed, that's a little over half a percent.

I have 172 base stamina though, and 10% of that with talents would work out to about what I'm getting.

The cooldown is 4 hours of /played time. Meaning you have to be online for the cooldown to tick off.

Edit: Testing in 5.2.0 shows the cooldown is still 4 hours, but you no longer have to be online for it to tick off.

The +10% Armor buff consideres your base armor (before enchants like 250 on cape), very nice for tanks going into their first top level donjons.

Here's my results on which damage buff I've been getting. The sample size is 25, which is pretty small, but I'll keep updating as the months go on (hoping to have a decent sample size by the time I get all the pets/mounts). The list number is the damage modifier. The percent listed next to it is how often I got the buff (example is item #6: 20% of the time I got the *106% damage modifier).

Keep in mind the Buff description always just says 5%, you have to go into your character stats to see what the actual modifier is. I had asked others to help me gather data, but most of them aren't looking in the right spot (even after explaining 12 times to open their character pane they keep saying "I only ever get 5%").

FYI, 'damage' seems to refer only to melee damage, or so the character page would suggest: I only see the multiplier (x110% in my case) under melee. Not ranged or spell damage.

For trial twinks the +25 all magic resistance buff seems to gives you around 25% to all resistances, so it seems way better than any of the other buffs, especially due to the fact that in the 20-24 bracket, most classes mainly do spell damage, even hunters. The only ones that don't are warriors, feral druids, rogues (excluding poison), and monks of which there are still very few of.

But if you die you lose it (which doesn't make much sense since it's a "dark fortune" having to do with fate, and for example, Decree of the Dark Lady even persists through death) and have to wait up to 4 hours to get it again which sucks.

Is it still possible, by giving correct answers to Sayge, to receive quests to specific places that will enable your char to get Darkmoon currency that can be turned in for Darkmoon armor and weapons?

If so what answers do you give, to what questions, to get the above quests?

Along with the buff, Sayge gives you Darkmoon Faire Fortune, which contains one of 29 scrolls with fortune written on it. They are usually deletable items with some flavour text, however, there are three scrolls which start quests!

So us, completionists, should often visit Sayge and try to get those quests :)
