So there is a hard cap of 6 keys per week? That's definitely down from TWW, where you could easily earn 8 to 10 keys.
This is a great improvement. Shards don't take up bag space any more, they combine automatically when entering a Delve, and it's much easier to farm them as well. Also the Vault finally shows completed Delve Tiers in the tooltip, similar to M+ Dungeons.Also for people complaining, we started the season with 2 keys and soon we can purchase keys from the vendor, that's all over the 6 keys you can get from the fragments.
It's a more elegant system than what we had in TWW, that's for sure. Keeping track of both key rewards and shards, and converting shards to keys wasn't exactly difficult, but it was cumbersome compared to having the shards as a currency and just walking into a delve.
I am really happy with the change to more sources for the coffer key shards. No more checking the map every day to make sure you didn't miss a coffer key world quest.
Just get rid of shards and make it full keys again, the system was fine and then they turned it into a mess with extra steps, I thought this xpac was about simplifying things?
On a related note, the cost to buy one of the gadgets that summons the nemesis has gone from 2,000 delver's currency in TWW to 5,000 in Midnight, which is a HUGE nerf and makes the whole gearing system more RNG dependent unless they greatly increased the drop rate on these or have a guaranteed nemesis spawn after so many delves. No more buy one each week and do your 3-4 T11 delves and done.Also beware of things that are warband wide like the two free starter keys you get for doing the Midnight Delve S1 introduction quest. The character that does it will get two keys, and all your other characters will be out of luck.
The random treasures in each zone were giving me 13 coffer key shards per container. Was farming those for the weekly knowledge point items and got them.. was already capped though from doing other quests lol
Soooo... you cannot get more than 600 shards a week. You need 2K for a key. So you need 2.333333333333333333 weeks to get a key. Or 4 keys every 7 weeks.

Idiotic #$%^&*ed system that needs to be removed. If you do a bountiful delve - and come on, nobody does delves that aren't bountiful - then you should be rewarded appropriately. Timegating gear like this is one of the most !@#$%ic game design decisions ever.
Good change really, frees up bag slots and just converts currency to currency upon walking into a delve. Easy. Being able to earn 6 from sources (quest boxes, etc) is higher than the 4 keys that could come from weekly boxes. Not including extras, a good change all around.
