Upgrades in Midnightnew upgrade system

Instead of a flat amount of crests per upgrade, the amount of Crests increases the further you go on the track.

All tracks have 6 ranks instead of a varying amount, and only take that version of the Crest.

Comment by FlailofFury

Why is this needed? They just added a ton of gold sinks.

Comment by Flyn

It was absolutely necessary to throw a random amount of gold on gear upgrade.

Comment by Cryptic88

Idgaf about the gold. Drop the cost of the crest back to where it was.

Comment by Draygona

I'm ok with this.

Comment by flowreen

Who asked for this?
Just removing valorstones was good enough, nobody wants replacement with a second currency.

Comment by 0wler

They'll try anything BUT making it cost only crests, huh

Comment by Naravinger

Bye bye valorstones, we wont miss you

Comment by LostTurtle

Blizzard, I am so tempted to quit, don't give me more reasons.

Comment by Azaraje

What is the point of this

Comment by justkbmt

It could be as simple as crests, but we just have to add two currencies to upgrade gear. At this rate. Just cut upgrading all together. Clearly you just can't do it correctly.

Comment by Raybeze

why?...

gold is essentially a premium currency since you can buy it with real money so this is an overstep imho.

hell id go as far to argue that gold shouldnt even be used for repairs anymore, its an outdated system that hasnt made sence since classic.

...why? No it isnt much gold and in the end of the day, no it doesn't matter. But like. Why are we going out of our way to do this? It's pretty %^&*ing stupid.

Don't worry. They will after 4 weeks and offer some BS about how "it was needed in the initial parts of the season."

Comment by LootFever

"What mental deranged thing can we add today to revert it so we are the good guys again?"

Comment by Felflux

Well, it's more reasonable than charging gold for transmog, at the very least...

Comment by Kaorhy

as long as the cost is adequate, then it's much better than valorstones.

Comment by Lizzurd

I think the increase in crests needed per upgrade was fine on its own, jus sayin'.

Comment by Solunaren

Geezus, just how poor are you guys to complain about this? I just wish they would get rid of the Crests and just use gold to upgrade gear. We have too much gold in the economy right now.

Comment by Xylion3290

Someone needs to be fired. Why does there always have to be something else. Why does there always have to be a monkey's paw at Blizzard.
