Long overdue and pretty massive considering the crest sink/changes in midnight.
Not gonna lie they had us in the first half.
18s :D how many players do 18s before turbo boost? blizzard is so bad :D
haha finally they think of it but with the rotation that is on MDN S1 I really won't go for anything above +13
bait title, 10s continue to grant Myth track which is the relevant part here. the rest is a crest save that doesn't matter for anyone that isnt pushing
Great change, no difference for people who want to do 10s, but those who push higher get benefit.
nice! with the crest changes its even more important to do +18s every week now thanks for making mythic raiding even more of a full time job
M+, PvP, and Raid should all have their own individual gearing systems with no to minimal crossover
Made you look
Even more of a reason to force people to play the game as much as possible during the early days of the season for fear of falling behind. GG blizz
So keep doing 10s and just spend crests like you used to for upgrade.
Amazing change! gj blizz
Extremely awful and punishing change , this will force GM/RL/M+ dedicated players in guilds to blame all other players who are not pushing as hard as those selected few dedicated m+ players "why are you not doing it" , while they have groups and friends to push with , all the other players of that guild will be stuck pugging and having nightmare of a time when the previously mentioned start to blame them for "not doing it as hard as they do"...man i cant with those changes , way too much bad changes , wayyyy too much...
What's the point of this? To cater the top 20 m+ players who are able to clear +18 in the first week?By the time the median of high-key players are there they are already decked out in 6/6 myth gear. We all know where this leads to... the endless cycle: - M+ loot exists- "Higher keys should reward better loot"- Blizzard answers- Casual player: "I can't clear the highest keys it's unfair they reward better gear"- Blizzard nerfs m+ and now everyone can clear the highest keys- "M+ is too easy and there are too many key levels"- Key levels are squashed; +20 becomes +10 which rewards the best loot again.
Let's not pretend even 1% of the people commenting on this thread are doing +18s.This is a terrible change for 99.98% of the playerbase if they aren't adjusting key scaling. Go look at the stats pre turbo boost to see who's doing 18s. Anyone on a semi real mythic raid team will realize this will now be required, the crest savings alone from doing an 18 over a 10/12 is absurd. Hopefully this is just early beta stuff and will be hashed or they are adjusting key scaling because this is not healthy for anybody.
That's a great start, but what about dungeon drops themselves? Currently anything that drops from a 10 or higher (being generous here, it's probably closer to 4 or 5) isn't going to be usable by anyone geared enough to actually complete the key. It's not upgradable on the tracks those people are going to be looking for. It might as well be a grey quality vendor trash item for all the good it actually does. For players looking to gear up exclusively from smaller group content like Delves and M+, the great vault is the only way to get upgrades once the season gets past its initial week or two. M+ drops should be on the same track as the corresponding vault item, even if at a lower ilevel to require more upgrades.
Ya okay lol
