Nice, I've always wanted to flame that guy who bricked my key
implement the leaver penalty thing first and then you can advertise other bs
OMGOMGMGO this is was that reddit post was about! OMOMGOMGOGM
yet another thing that seems good on paper only
This will backfire spectacularly.
And, with luck, it'll be at most an optional thing. Choosing who you interact with repeatedly is kind of part and parcel of an online game. One such example - might have heard of it - is called a friends list. If you get on with folk in a group or activity, you add them, and there y'go. Don't need a Facebook style 'Hey you both looked at the same page recently, now Why Not Be Friends Forever?' reminder panel.
Just leave it as friends list and have this as an option that you can turn on if you want. Don't force it on everyone. If i want to group with someone ill just friend them after the run.
Yeah, oh boy, how that will be ruined.
So they really liked the idea of that "Remember Me" addon (or whatever it's called), and decided to take their own spin on it.Which makes sense with their talk of reducing addon dependency. And as all the players feared, them implementing great addons into the game in their way, in 2025, leads to something that the majority of the playerbase will want to disable or remove.Yep. Go figure. Also "Contacts" and not the "Friends list?" Yea ok, let's just sterilize things even more and move farther away from the MMORPG part of the game. We're not making friends anymore. We're just in game to buy runs or crafts from cartels, or we're in the game to run with random strangers who we won't even say hi to anymore.
We already have discord and subreddits, this feels redundant.
Blizzard still thinks social features work for WoW, maybe they need to fix that toxic game loop first before adding this kind of stuff!
I'd be shocked if this isnt about as popular as using the in-game voice chat. If you really wanted to contact someone you recently grouped with there really hasnt been any other hurdles than you.
I want to turn this off the moment it's available, if it does go live. If I want to party with someone again, I'll have already asked them then and there.
They are working on that @#$%? But queuing LFG Content with different Factions is still a No Go
This is totally wrong. I dont want to get stalked by strangers i met once.Make it optional at least
This is something that sounds good on paper, but will be misused by bad actors to harass folks whoose only "crime," was to join the wrong group.I do hope they make it opt-out otherwise that 50 character limit in our block lists is gonna be full within a month.IMO if the team wants to increase social play their dev time would be better spent focusing on on in game content that enables organic socialisation like the old Brawler's guild, or giving us more reasons to engage with the open world instead of hiding out in instances and Dornogal all evening!Who wants to bet it does not occur to Blizzard that adding the folks who just vote kicked you to that list would be a bad idea?
I don't get the need for this? What are they trying to solve or improve here?
makes it easier to report players that join, do some !@#$ and leave without ever saying anything in chat (so you can't right click their name to report)assuming, that list offers the right-click-report...or to ask players about trading their drops in case they left before you could ask. most likely lfr-curios.
