Who are the Flame's Radiance?May the Flame's Radiance serve as a reminder that even in the darkest of times, a single torch can burn away the darkness.

Long ago, in the age of turmoil and strife, distant enemies moved against our great empire. Determined to meet her enemies head on, the Empress rallied her armors and summoned every soldier at her disposal.

The collected might of the empire marched off to war, the light of their torches growing dimmer on the horizon. And those left behind found themselves plunged into darkness.

With no soldiers or guards to protect them, threats throughout the land encroached upon the vulnerable.As the shadows closed in, it was the old war veterans--soldiers deemed too old or wounded to march off to war--who lit the first torch.

They donned their dusty, faded armor and drew their battle-worn blades. And then, they rallied the rest of the common folk.

Crafters, farmers, and laborers gathered around to hear their words.

"The light of the Empress may be distant and faded, but the Sacred Flame still burns. Darkness may close in now, but we still bear our own flame. We shall shine with our own radiance. We shall not falter!"

By their radiance of their flames, both the common folk and veterans rallied, holding strong against any threat.Great battles were fought, and homesteads were lost. Yet in the end, the Arathi perservered.

And when the Empires' armies returned and their light settled upon battle-scarred homes, the Empress mourned. In her righteous cause to protect the empire from outside threats, she had not seen the darkness that lurked within.

With praise, the Empress declared the act carried out by the people one worthy of sactification.

By her hand, she decreed it to be the "Flame's Radiance"--an edict sworn to all Arathi, young and old, trained and untrained.

Should the light of the Empire for any reason be absent or extinguished, the Flame's Radiance can be decreed to rally the people and protect the Empire.<Thaed gives you a firm nod as you approach.>

Another outsider answering the decree of the Flame's Radiance? Excellent.

We need all the support we can muster. Be it by weapon or magic, we'll make use of your skills yet. Who are the Flame's Radiance?

Not who, soldier, but what.

The Flame's Radiance is something that lives within all Arathi. It is an idea, a sacred creed passed down from generation to generation.

"In a sea of darkness, a single torch wavers. But in a sea of torches, the darkness is consumed." Why have you decreed Flame's Radiance?

Recent events have spread the Arathi thin.

Both the military and the Lamplighters struggle to keep our holds in check. Beyond that, we support our allies outside Hallowfall and the shores of Khaz Algar.

When the Sureki began to mobilize once more against us, General Steelstrike considered recalling our forces to mount a defense.

But everyone in Hallowfall, save the youngest generation of course, is martially trained.

The farmers. The crafters. We all arrived as soldiers with the expedition, long ago.

And the Flame's Radiance decree exists precisely for moments like this.Returning CharactersEtna BlayzeAfter Murrpray and her loyalists were extinguished from the Priory, those who remained sought to rekindle our flame with Hallowfall.

Many devout looked to me to fulfill the duties of Prioress. I was never interested in such a role, I am but a humble servant of the Sacred Flame.

But my brothers and sisters needed someone to remake what was lost during that dark time.

For now, I am who they need me to be.

With the Flame's Radiance decreed, the Priory has offered its full strength to the cause. With many spread thin across Khaz Algar, those who remain in Hallowfall must rally and inspire others.

Orren hasn't wielded a weapon or donned his armor in many years, but it warms my heart to see courage lit within him.

We'll hold this place--Orren has ELIZA helping as well.It's good to see you again, friend, though I with it were under different circumstances.

When Flame's Radiance was decreed, Aemyra leaped up to answer the call and... well it's been some time since I've wielded a weapon.

My previous position as a logistics officer meant I didn't see much combat back home.

But Aemyra has inspired me, just as the tale of Flame's Radiance inspires her.

When the Arathi's Flame's Radiance directive reached Dornogal, the Stormward requested I lead a unit to support their cause.

I'm here to keep an eye on things, and make sure this... 'Flame's Radiance...' doesn't have too much fun in its hunt for Sureki.

The Weaver approves burning away the tattered threads to save the rest of the web... provided the flames don't burn out of control. Why are the Sureki attacking Hallowfall again?

The Sureki are a desperate and vengeful sickness, ever loyal to a Queen who betrayed her empire.

With Ansurek's death, they've turned to an enemy they believe is responsible for the demise of their queen.

Of course, we both know that is simply not the case. But it is easy to garner support to your cause when you can redirect the confused and angered to someone they've always seen as their enemy.

The Severed Threads work to maintain order in the City of Threads--but the Weaver is glad to see the head cut from this thrashing, dying snake. Last we spoke, you were under Xal'atath's influence!
