I mean i'm still pulling entire dungeons and nuking them aoe with level 70-77 characters, its really not a huge hurdle.

Gonna be honest here. It was so easy leveling for the first time was no fun at all for me.

Combined with the fact that low level chars have been so much better. Like 10 times better it was really weird and the experience is way better for the people leveling now probably.

I have a few chars to level still so i am actually rather looking forward to it.

It is not like we have a time limit here. Season starts in 2 weeks.

Yes, this system is already present at endgame where mobs gain strength as your ilvl goes up (to a point)

Yes, but at the same time, with the normal level scaling and new adjustments, it won't be worth it to level in low 400 gear. You would have too little stats to kill quickly enough.

This is all just an effort to generally discourage sitting on certain gear levels to game player power. Adding the sub-400 stuff is mostly for things like level 70 boosts, or characters that came out of MoP Remix and didn't get a bunch of Dalaran Defender gear.

This means that if you are item level 342, mobs will have a 54% nerf to health and damage.

Thank you for adding this clarification. I was struggling to understand the ilvl scaling explanation under the original version.

This is not that big of a deal, it's absolutely amazing how people are truly crying about this. Leveling in a new expansion was always meant to have some what of a challenge but slightly easier with those who were geared. God forbid you spend a few seconds more in combat.

Hope this doesn't mean that at 80 mobs will keep getting stronger alongside you as your ilvl increase. That defeats the whole point of gearing.

So you can still walking into a random dungeon with crap gear and just absolutely roll the place, which was the main issue. Glad to see that isn't changed :thumbsup:

So early access was just pay to win, I agree it was too easy but this should have been addressed day 1 of early access not day 2 after official launch

Just my experience but the 75-77 buffs made me raise an eyebrow as I feel like that's where things started to get tricky while levelling, at least in some situations. But maybe it does make it more linear in terms of the actual numbers. Have an alt at 76 which will also now be without a strong tier set bonus, so will be interested to see how it feels now.

So if going in as a 342 70s mobs will have 1*(1+1.23)*(1-0.54)... 2% more hp than before. I think non-early access dads of 7 children with 4 jobs will be okay with that.

If going in with a geared character then you'll two shot mobs instead of one shot and having a 78 in your normal won't feel bad.
