You obtain 3-6 Magmotes with every Restored Obsidian Key turned in to Igys the Believer.

You obtain 25 Magmotes from the Same as the Old Boss weekly from Doventhal the Chosen. He will only offer this quest while you're a Worldbreaker.

Killing mobs around Obsidian Citadel while being a Worldbreaker and having unlocked the prerequisites. Enemies may drop 0-3 Magmotes each.

I got lucky and looted the Worldbreaker Membership flyer first try when I delivered the Restored Obsidian Key to Igys the Believer.

Then, it took me roughly 2h30min to get the 1k Magmotes on Kazzak-EU farming solo as a 485 demo lock.

I can confirm that killing rares doesn't provide any Magmotes sadly, even the one that spawns after 10 Restored Obsidian Key have been delivered to Igys the Believer.
