Lol, Mind Sear, the most removed spell in the game

Clunky AoE spender according to whom? :(I had no issue with Searing Nightmare.I had no issue with Mind Sear either, it was in fact, (way) better.The last two iterations were just fine. And even if they had their flaws, not having to relearn a spec every (half) an expansion is probably still better.Not seeming to have much of a feeling of direction you want to develop shadow towards and then putting all your money on one horse (PL) just seems like a bad idea.I like shadow and will continue to play it for now but I really didn't feel like this rework was necessary.Shadow has had other issues which seem to remain unaddressed and also in a sense made worse by these changes. Unless this is part of a larger priest rework as a whole?In general, when you announce news or change things that have the potential to be received badly, it makes all the difference if you explain your reasoning. Sure, it won't change the outcome but you can at least understand -but won't necessarily appreciate- how these changes came to be. I don't think I've seen any reasoning that made me understand these changes.

What's wrong with mind sear? I kinda liked it :/
I’ve been saying for a long time they our aoe should come from dots and from our shadowy apparitions. This change helps solidify both of those. Seeing massive amounts of ghosts is bad%#$ and I think this iteration feels great personally.
I remember saying that mind sear was clunky to use and people shot me down for it lol.Looks like Blizz agreed with me.

Speaking from someone who hasn't touched SP since DF launch because it's just simply too daunting: the current rotation is still super clunky with multiple short cooldown managements like Halo, Mindgames and Void Torrent...as if it's not tormenting enough for us to keep the DoTs up at all times and manage all the other long cooldowns. And on top of all that, you need to learn to manage all of them within Voidform as well!I'm just fascinated with how you folks manage your key binds and timers?
