Then I hope Blizz are rethinking their policy on "one phone number per account". I have two accounts and one phone, and no I'm not buying another phone I don't need just for that.
Login with phone number, not an app, the actual phone number string, as an alternative to the email, has been a thing on many websites for over 10 years now. If you get worked up over this, you haven't been on this internet for very long.@Wowhead: why a separate post for this? Dumb people can only misunderstand this. Just put it into some other post, like the preamble.
after the massive blunder that was blizz saying that re phones, they are open to anyone taking the piss for the rest of eternity. I for one loved the punney nature of this article!
Well, people will get bent out of shape over this like everything else, but at a guess, this just means they're standardizing authentication code across applications, which includes the companion app, which makes sense for logging in with a phone number.
This is an extremely confusing development.
No i DON'T have cell phone! and it looks like when my authentictor key dies so does my blizzard games.
