It would be similar to delves in that respect. But I think it would be worth it.
This is terrible. What they should do is remove timer, death penalty, affixes, all that nonsense, and just keep key level scaling.Make M+ great again.

What if M+ used anything other than the garbage it uses now?Death counter.Bonus objectives.Puzzle like elements.A build your own path dungeon system, think LBRS, choose 4 bosses to kill, make your own route.There are tons of better ideas than a timer that arbitrarily forces you to go fast for the sake of going fast and punishes you because someone ass pulled an extra pack.

if you could keep the same key level after having failed it then this would be an okay idea but I don't think they will ever implement that therefore a death timer is insanely dumb
I understand the draw of the idea, but its gonna lead to very degenerate strategies. If you don't have to care about time, why not run 2 healers? Hell, what do you even need dps players for? Your only job is to finish the dungeon without people dying, so you'd honestly be foolish to run 3 dps when you can ensure you succeed running nothing but tanks and healers. Or just run 5 tanks? Like, who gives a $%^&? You just have to finish, you dont have to care about going slow. Anybody can beat a +10 tyrannical boss with 3 tanks and 2 healers, it'll take you a bit but who cares when you guarantee yourself a mythic tier item at the end in your weekly vault?Removing the timer means removing all the risk. You can wait as long as you want for cooldowns, pull packs as small as you like, kill bosses slowly at your leisure. It's just gonna lead to people being super risk averse, and doing ^&*!ty, boring strategies that are highly effective.Further, for folks claiming this will fix the meta, it won't. The meta is not caused by the mode, it is caused by the playerbase. You don't need any special composition to time a +10 key. You don't. You can run any combination of classes and specs, and be just fine. The meta is not caused by the game, it is caused by the playerbase being risk averse and trying to increase their chances in ways they think will help them succeed. And guess what will happen when you remove the timer? That's right! You'll get a brand new meta instead. It'll probably have different specs and classes, but you'll still have a meta. Anyone who thinks otherwise is fooling themselves.

Yea, no thanks. Having a death limit with pugs would doom so many more keys. People wouldn't be more careful they never are.At least you can still time most keys with several deaths as long as nobody leaves.
Saying it would "break the meta" is just plain wrong, you'd just zone in with the most tanky classes or classes with cheat deaths. The meta would just change not break, there will always be a meta.
