Good! When I logged in on a level 50 toon that previously had GREAT GEAR in BFA, the gear was so outdated that I ran ICC and got an upgrade while simultaneously managing to solo the instance. -_- (after equipping non-upgraded heirlooms because it's more gold to upgrade them than I can bother spending.)
I think this Feature is great for people that didn't played some chars for a long time...Especially if their toons are from realy old Expansions like WotLK or Cata... the more Itemsquishes we got, the worse some EQ got ^^And it also is for people that don't have complete collection of Heirlooms fully upgradet. It's a nice touch i guess... Also it helps people that want to leveled via Dungeons and then want to go Questing... since everything scales this can be bit hard for people without Heirlooms or for them with only low rank ones they outleveled already... If you weren't lucky in dungeons and got like on 3 Items all the time you could find your toon to still wear level 15 Gear nearly all over with like fitting rings, a Trinket and maybe some bracers...And then go into open world... with that gear at level 45 or so... you will get demolished ^^Only questions i have:1. Will this only for "Returning Players" or for all?2. If for all, how long does a toon have to be logged out till you can use it? And is it One time Use than?3. If no limit for "logged out since X", than can i log in on a toon and if i find out i struggel I can logg out and "boost" this toom for fitting Gear on my level and the set of bags? It's a small thing and most people i guess won't use it. Or at least not more than once... but it's one of this quality of Live updates i like to see happening much in this Expansion... No big deal but can be big impact to some few people ;)
I would really like more details on this. Especially that quest log cleanup. Is it optional, do they check with the player before deleting quests? I would be furious if it deleted, say, a quest for getting Dragonwrath, or a skip that I've been trying to unlock for a place like Antorus, which sucks butt to unlock. Also what will these welcome backs apply to? I've logged onto all of my lowbies recently because I had to mass join my guild now that cross faction happened. If I logged onto them recently like that, are they still eligible? If I'm in the middle of leveling a character when this drops, do I still get this?
At this rate, why have levels? I don't understand Blizzard's fixation with endgame. I realise that's where most of the playtime is but there's so much value in the rest of the world which they are squandering. It's yet another step away from the RPG aspect of the game. Yes, I know it's convenient, and yes I know you don't have to accept it.
if this helps bring people back in, I'm all for it. Haters gonna hate.
22 slot bags in a time when 32 slot bags can be under 50g each isn't as impressive as the writer would have you believe.
How are people complaining about something that is optional? If you don't like it, don't use it.
I wonder when it says "clear out quest log" if special quests like legendary and artifact lines are included in that.
Its OPTIONAL on the PTR. You can log in w/o taking the boost, but you won't get any of the benefits.
Do you know what they should've done that would have bypassed the need to have this gear? lower the gold requirement to upgrade heirlooms or remove that fee completely.
Hope these aren't unique mogs
I guess this is nice?
Why not, do this for ALL low level toons, considering they left some of our pre-owned pre-Shadowlands gear bricked since pre-patch.Or better yet, fix the pre-owned legacy gear to what it would be in current ilvls.
My only issue with this is the little "perk" it ALSO clears out your Quest Log.Since it's aimed at returning players or low level alts, chances are they might some old unique quests in the log or working on a long quest chain they would like to keep and why clearing out your Quest Log is even part of this anyway. Players can just open up their quest log and delete any quests they don't want to do anymore.
yall seem very mad about an optional change
Looking suspiciously at "Sell All Junk button" (there are few gray items that I don't wan't to sell)
