That's cool, i'd rather it not clear my quest log though... for reasons.
sorry but big L, leveling and gearing is a part of an MMO, you guys ruined leveling with boosts and making it brainless now gearing too.
I was suspecting this as I read but it was confirmed for me when I saw the warning given to Allied races. What this is doing is exactly what boosting a character does: Deletes the original and replaces it with a clone. That's why your quest log gets cleared as well as everything in your inventory mailed to you. The only difference is, unlike the boost clone, this one isn't created at a higher level.Incidentally, this is how Pandarens work. When you choose your faction a clone is created on the appropriate one, while the factionless original is deleted. This is ALSO why they can't access faction-specific account-wide items or mailboxes.Kind of a weird way for them to do this new feature, but I guess they're just reusing an existing system for ease.
all this reeks of desperation. by trying to get players back so badly they're killing the soul of this game. wow has no personality anymore.
Why would anyone want to clear out the quest log automatically? No. Not cool.People can abandon quests whenever they want, if they want. Just because a character hasn't been touched for a while doesn't mean they won't want to finish some old quests they were on.
The boost thing is probably just because they've copy and pasted the code from the character level boost and forgot to remove the warning, dunno why wowhead is treating it as a deliberate choice.
This is awesome! I love it! :D No reason to mess around now with trying to get like a consistent set of gear for these alts I abandoned years ago
