"fine-tuning Covenant systems such as the Covenant abilities and Soulbinds" I found a lot of beta players saying the opposite so I guess this not the case anymore?
Wait, The Man in Black himself is doing the quest design for the expansion focused on the Afterlife? Sweet!
Great interview! As for 'borrowed power'?Good.Imagine still keeping up with legion legendaries, azerite armor, essences, etc for the next 20 years. Just becomes a mess.Inversely, imagine if every bit of power came from ilvl only. How boring.
They didnt ask anything heavy. Its just an interview to let them say what they want to say not what we want to know. Interviews that dont get answers for players are not informative and just a PR stunt.I would've asked if they plan to get rid of the "borrowed power system" or "does a talent or spec re-works for the problematic ones is on the horizont?". Things like these would make the interview interesting , informative and helpful.
so Jailer is not the final boss of the xpac, what they HAVE been hinting at is the Final boss may be Death as in the entity Death that rules the Death in the cosmoslogy chart.
The Devs are just so disconnected from their player base. They dont seem to understand what we as the playerbase want/think, or they do, and just dont care. It's honestly getting sad and heartbreaking for a game I love and put so many years of my life into.
"In the case on N'zoth, that surprise ending was the right choice."*pokes head through hole* ARE YOU SURE ABOUT THAT?
For me the issue with borrowed power isn't that it's borrowed, it's that it's bewildering. I think a system that depends so heavily on a network of support sites and guides has fundamentally failed.
My main problem with 'Borrowed Power' isn't class design. It's that so much design time and effort is spent on features that they know are going to be throwaway. It leaves no time for systems that expand the world and increase the variety of things you can do. More things to do with your friends, in this shared world of warcraft. They keep trying to design these elaborate progression systems like those you see in a single player RPGs. But it's not the same; we keep ending up with cookie cutter builds and a meta, so there's no actual depth there. So maybe they should aim for variety and breadth instead, make the game more of a world. There's a ton of stuff they can crib from other MMOs out there, but it's such a laser focus on instanced content in WoW.Also, I'm just going to out and say it. The "we do not want to shackle ourselves to the maintenance of a new feature" excuse sounds super weak to me. A business constantly tries to offer new features (services) for its customers; the older ones that don't work get shut down eventually. But Blizzard is currently designing for obsolescence.
First highlight is basically a lie.
@WoWHead why is this in my classic news feed (discord web hook)?
