This is the opposite of what I need at my mid-tier level of play.But I guess I can see the only people who have excess stones and no veteran armor being those who grind the *!@# out of very casual content?

Imagine that they intentionally delayed this feature until all top 200 guilds got their hall of fame on mythic difficulty in order to prevent guilds from killing last mythic boss wearing veteran-track gear.
Let's hope they fixed the problem that they never bothered to fix during dragonflight with these boxes.

Veteran gear? Everything in the game drops veteran gear - Khaz Algar weeklies, LFR Palace and BRD, original world bosses, anniversary weeklies, ...
Would prefer slot-specific tokens/gear , by a lot. Random veteran gear you can practically fall over. Champion gear for specific slots you can buy with bloody tokens at the PvP person, and those can go in the catalyst to be tier'd together with PvE gear.. so why veteran has to remain RNG, I've no idea.
Warband should exist for only one feature: crests to alts 1:1 ratio. Rotting in the same dungeons over and over again with your alts after your main is putrid
